Very good trip! The walking was outstanding, such a beautiful part of the world to visit and experience at walking pace. Some lovely towns and villages along the way. Good time of year to do this in... See more

It’s definitely a unique experience! Hiking in 120 km within 6 days is not only to challenge yourself physically, but also to build up self-confidence mentally. The tour guide had done a great job to help the group to complete the journey. Encourage you make a plan to try Camino trip at least once in your life time!

Everything was fine except for the mistake with my booking. If I didn’t follow up I would have arrived and not been in a group.
Also would be good to provide solid luggage tags preprinted for convenience. There was mass confusion with the tags the first morning.
Guide was great!

Efficient booking system, and all went to plan. My only criticism is that we were unable to make contact in person in order to refine our requirements.

Great company to book through. The app is excellent so you can pay off or add services if needed. Very responsive if you have any queries and issues respond instantly on WhatsApp. Can't wait to use them again next year.

CaminoWays provided a mountain of information most of which had no relevance to the route we paid for so we had to sift through it to find what was relevant. They also did not disclose that nearly every meal on the superior trip was buffet. When we complained that the buffet meals were usually cold they responded that they check their recommended hotels to ensure compliance with their superior standards and that we could have asked hotel staff to warm the food! We could not recommend CaminoWays and do not consider they are good value or responsive or sensitive to clients.

CaminoWays made our hotel bookings and arranged luggage transfers, and they all went flawlessly. The hotels were varied in size and character but all provided what we needed: single rooms with en suite, clean, quiet and mostly close to the route. We could always check in as soon as we arrived.
Breakfasts varied from simple to varied and plentiful. Evening meals, where we'd booked them with Camino ways, were also varied, from a pizza with a glass of wine to - more often - a full menu of the day, three courses with a couple of glasses of wine.
CaminoWays' literature was ok, once we'd found it on line, but booking details were somewhat computer-generated and verbose. I edited down the hotel details to a couple of pages I could put on photos on my phone. Hotel phone numbers were given but a WhatsApp contact would have been more useful as we don't speak Spanish.
We followed the clear Camino northern route roadside arrows but at one point they would have taken us well away from Arźua where our hotel was booked - an alert from CaminoWays would have saved us some miles of walking.

The walk itself was quite beautiful and challenging, and the places we stayed were fine. However, the information from CaminoWays was minimal, hard to access, and sometimes incorrect. For example, CW wrote that we didn't need to bring walking sticks for the hike, but they were essential, and not available along the way as CW had written. Also, on the Northern Route there is nowhere to stop for lunch, another bit of important information that CW omitted. That said, it is a stunning hike and a great experience over all.

They are not always empathetic with customers when the situation calls for it, often adhering strictly to the letter of the contract. Despite the premium price.

Easy check in at the hotels. Baggage transport was arranged very handy

Camino Ways was excellent. Before our trip they provided helpful information on our chosen route, packing recommendations and the pilgrimage certificates. Everyday our luggage was transported and awaiting our arrival at the the hotel. Our pre-arranged accommodation ranged from 5 star modern hotels, boutique hotels in renovated monasteries to budget 2 star pensions all friendly and welcoming.

We loved the entire experience. Having Mark A as our guide made the Camino perfect.

Everything went smooth with luggage drop off and hotels were good.

Some hotels and meals were terrific and some were adequate; none were bad. This time, we walked a portion of the via Francigenia in Tuscany Italy. I encourage CW to provide upfront info about trail walk arounds in inclement weather. I would encourage walkers to research trail information and alternate routes through guide book and face book sources in advance of their walk.

Camiño Ways did well with fulfilling hotel bookings and moving luggage daily.
First hotel in Porto was not great, the rest were pretty good.
Had to add an additional piece of luggage due to not reading my information well enough. Still not surpassing the weight limit. I was charged over $200 for the additional piece. Although that is ridiculous I was more frustrated that Camiño Ways locked me out of the program until additional payment while I was on the walk. The additional payment could have waited unto that evening rather than losing all reference to the hotel that day. I stopped on the walk to pay so that I could get access to the program. Unacceptable.
The Camiño Ways app is also not a good one. Could use a significant improvement.
The walk was incredible!!
