Having read other reviews I was a little skeptical about the service CarTyres.com offered - I had already priced my tyres with my local Halfords and was going to go with them, until I saw the same tyres on cartyres.com for £5 cheaper per tyre! The best part was I could still go to Halfords and have them fitted - it's close to where I work - and I was able to choose a time instead of having to turn up and wait for ages. I booked my fitting date, didn't have to pay online and got my tyres fitted no problem, for £20 cheaper than I had originally been quoted. This goes to show how important it is to shop around nowadays - and the staff were friendly and helpful.

I booked for 2 new tyres on the front of my car. Halfords staff didn't have visibility of my order - they asked if I had paid, how many tyres and were they for the front or the back. After 70 mins of waiting, Halfords told me they didn't have the tyres - that hadn't stopped them removing both wheels from my car, and even one tyre. I had to wait for them to put the car back together, and prompt them to rebalance. I compalined and had a call from Halfords which I couldn't take. Their promise to call back hasn't been fulfilled in 3 days, & my calls do not get answered. Halfords demonstrate they have insufficient admin staff, do not track customer orders, and have no process or do not follow it, re delivery tracking. The Tyres.com web page boasts they may call you to advise of an earlier slot - this is never going to happen given the foregoing. My experience is that Tyres.com boast a service that Halfords cannot deliver.

I ordered two tyres online for fitting at my local halfords auto centre on Monday. I received an email a few days later stating the tyres I had ordered were out of stock but that alternatives could be provided for the same price. These alternatives actually had a lower fuel efficiency rating than the originals but I chose to ignore this as the tyres were needed urgently. My partner took the car to have the tyres fitted today but Halfords had not received any delivery for our order.
We received no communication regarding this from cartyres and as a result will need to order again from elsewhere. This has left us without the car for an even greater period of time not to mention the added trouble. Do not use this website.

I ordered 2x rear tyres from cartyres.com to be delivered and fitted at Halfords Autocenter in Farnborough. My Wife left work early to make sure I arrived at Halfords for my allotted time. She arrived, explained to the staff why she was there and they looked at her blankly even after she showed them the receipt email.
She left and immediately called Cartyres.com. Even after a few phone calls that go streight through to voicemail, we have heard nother.
I'm still waiting for a response and an explanation... AVOID

I ordered 2x rear tyres from cartyres.com to be delivered and fitted at Halfords in Slough. I left work early to make sure I arrived at Halfords for my allotted time. I arrived, explained to the staff member on the front desk what I was there for and he looked at me blankly, obviously wasn't expecting me. He typed my details into the computer and said there was no record of my order (despite me showing him the confirmation email from cartyres.com ). Although they were about to lock up for the day, he kindly agreed to fit the tyres anyway, until he went to the back only to discover the tyres hadn't even been delivered?! I left and immediately called Cartyres.com. I called around 6 times, each time the phone just rang and rang until a voicemail message kicked in. I left a message asking for an urgent call back about this p**s take of a situation - no response. I have since tweeted and emailed them - no response. How can they operate like this? I'm still waiting for a response and an explanation... AVOID

Like several previous reviews. This service did not work for me either.
Ordered 2 tyres on Thursday to be fitted Saturday afternoon at Halfords Auto centre Harlow. Upon arrival asked to leave car key and locking wheel nut and fitting would take 30 minutes. Returned 20 minutes later to be told my tyres had not been delivered or even ordered by the look of the paper work the fitter was holding. This was extremely inconvenient as I had surgery on my hand a few days earlier which meant I had to rely on my husband to drive for me and was only able to do this that weekend.
Called car tyres.com to inform them straight away but constantly got through to recorded message so called today to be given no real explanation as to what went wrong.
Bottom line, if you use this service double check with your fitter that they actually have your tyres there before you go there.
Prices may seem good but site is useless if it doesn't work.
Halford's really should look into this site as it reflects badly on them too

I ordered some tyres from car tyres.com for a great price and organised fitting to be done at a Halfords, four days after ordering. When I turned up at Halfords I was told that they didn't have the order nor did they have the tyres in stock and checked the Yokohama site (the make I'd ordered) and said they don't even have any in the country.

So they were selling a tyre that wasn't actually even in stock in the country. A wasted trip to Halfords (an hour round trip)

I called them asking what had happened and they just apologiesed and said I'd have to order again. I told them that there was no point because how would I know they'd even have it in stock?

Don't bother, the extra £20 you might save l, go elsewhere with more reliabity.

Easy to use we site and a great price on my tyres. Customer service team where very friendly and helpful. Will defently use them again.

Ordered 2 tyres online with cartyres.com. Were due in 6 days ago but received no phone call. Called them today to be told they WOULDN'T supply me the tyres as they weren't making enough profit from the deal !

I thought using cartyres.com was meant to make things simpler. Quite the opposite! Having selected my fitting time and received email confirmation, I booked half a day off work to get it done. However, when I turned up at Halfords at the appointed time they told me they didn't have my tyres and there would be a 6 week wait to get them in stock. I immediatedly contacted cartyres.com and was told that they would get back to me later in the day with a new time, but I never heard another word from them. I wasted half a day's leave and still don't have the tyres. Next time I'll make my own appointment directly with the fitter rather than messing about with these jokers.

Having always gone into a garage to buy tyres, I was a little dubious about buying online. What a relief when I came across the cartyres website and was able to pay the fitter after I was happy with the job! Really quick and easy, I entered my tyre size, was offered a few tyres, made my selection and that was it! When I went to the Halfords my tyres were waiting for me and they were fitted with no fuss at all! I would recommend cartyres as I got my tyres at a fraction of the price I would normally pay.

I placed an order and booked to have my tyres fitted. I noticed that I'd ordered the wrong tyres and called the company who were only too happy to help! Their customer service was second to none, they had to cancel my order and make a new one but it was done without a fuss and with a friendly approachable representative. Went to the garage and had my tyres fitted without a fuss, can't fault the garage staff either. Would recommend to anyone looking for great service at a ridiculously good price you don't need to look any further than cartyres.com

Just had my tyres fitted by one of CarTyres.com fitters and could not have been more impressed with the whole process. I used their Live Chat function to order the tyres last week - Ruby was really helpful and friendly - thank you very much - she pointed me to the right tyres for my car. I then had to change the appointment at the last minute so phoned and spoke to Sarah - nothing was too much trouble for her. When I arrived at the fitting centre they fitted my tyres really quickly and were super friendly. The best part is that I saved over £15 per tyre compared to other online companies. Really impressed! Ordered tyres, selected fitting site and time. Only to be told the tyres I selected could not be suppied by the fitter. Question is why take the order before you have confirmed you can supply tyres. I just wasted my time with this company, it's this sort of company that gives online ordering a bad name.

I had never ordered tyres online before I found cartyres.com. I was surprised with the low prices and I could even get the tyres fit the next day!!
Fantastic customer service - very helpful and friendly throughout, from ordering the tyres to the fitting at Halfords.
I'd definitely recommend cartyres.com to my friends and family.

I was a bit unsure about booking my tyres online again but the fact that you do not pay until they are fitted at this site was a bonus. I had used similar sites in the past and paid for them online only to be told by one they were out of stock they then try to offer you another product which I was not prepared to do and had to fight for 3 weeks to get my money back!
I’m pretty clued up about these sites now and it appears that pay online or not there is never a guarantee so do your research and don’t be too disappointed if there is an issue after all with this site you don’t pay for anything bar your time.
My order went through smoothly I had a call from Halfords who confirmed everything with me I never had to call them to confirm my order. The service I received at Halfords was very good went in on time had my 4 tyres fitted and out within the hour plus I saved a small fortune.
I would recommend this site to family and friends but would also make them aware of the pitfalls of buying tyres online it appears to be the luck of the draw 90% good 10% bad

Placed my order (the uk's top selling size), received confirmation email. Went at correct time and place several days later and no tyres and no email or any info sent to fitting center. Left and tried contacting customer services, repeatedly get answer message so took advice and requested call back, received ticket ref for call guess what, no call whatsoever nor the next day no follow up at all.
So that's no tyres, no communication, no call back, no follow up, an utter fail at every stage they may promise cheap tyres but it seems reading recent reviews they fail to deliver.
Halfords also needs to consider their business relationship with this company too as it's a poor reflection upon them too to put their trust in this seller.

Had not the best experience with them over a year ago when they cancelled my order saying they cannot supply my tyres(they still had them in stock but at much higher price). I have decided to give them another chance now... and guess what ?! Gave Halfords a ring day before fitting date - they have no idea abut my order, turned up next day - still no tyres... please, please don't waste your time ! These guys are comedians !

The price quoted online when ordering was not honoured by their fitter Halfords. They basically told me that they are not able to get the tyres for the price I ordered them at. What is the point of offering a price and then not fulfilling. Compared to tyreshopper.com and other online tyre shops they are not any better on price but just waste your time.

I won't ever be using them again and recommend others not to either. Reading through other reviews below the issue I had seems to be a common occurrence.

This was the first time I used the Website and it was extremely easy to navigate and finding the right Tyre was incredibly effortless, as there were clear explanations of the letter ratings for speed, sound and grip. Ordering and choosing the fitter and the day of fitting was an incredible easy process.

The price was the cheapest I could find on the web by a considerable amount and the best thing of all was I did not have to pay until my Tyre was fitted at Halfords.

I would highly recommend using this website and will not hesitate to use it again and I will be telling all my friends and family about it. Thank You.
