Sure the trade-in offer was probably half of what I could've got from the ideal private buyer, had I had the patience, energy, and luck to find him, but the process of buying with Carvana is smooth... See more

I had a 3:00 appointment. I walked in and wasn’t greeted by anyone for several minutes until I finally walked up to someone that was finishing a conversation. I told him I was there to check him, he said Art would be assisting me and to have a seat. Art came out at 3:20 and said there was 2 people ahead of me that he was working with so it would be about 15 minutes before he could get to me. At 3:55 - 35 minutes later - he was ready for us. I said “wow are you the only one working? I had a 3:00 appointment. They’re keeping you busy” to which he replied “no, you get assigned someone when you schedule and some of the people assigned to me came in early so I helped them to make sure I’m not working later when we’re trying to close up. So if a 5 or 6:00 appointment comes in I take them no matter what time it is”. I found it odd that I was there on time for my appointment but had to wait an hour for people that chose to show up whenever they wanted to. Nonetheless, Art was very friendly and once he finally got started with us the process was very quick. He did seem like he had too much going on as he started to walk out to check my vehicle with the wrong key. After checking it over, he came back in and said he couldn’t get the tag off and “didn’t have time to fool with it” and advised me to tell the dmv I surrendered it with the vehicle. I wasn’t comfortable doing that as the vehicle and tag belonged to my recently deceased father. I went out, with my own screwdriver, and had the (newly bent!) tag off the truck in 30 seconds. He was surprised when I walked back in with it.
I liked the process of knowing exactly what I’d get for my vehicle and it being a quick transaction. I didn’t appreciate having to wait an hour for my scheduled appointment. And I absolutely didn’t appreciate my fathers tag being bent. Bending a tag that’s screwed in isn’t going to get the screw out and now it’ll never lay flat again. Besides the fact that he “didn’t have time” to assist more and left it to a female customer.

Sold our recently deceased father-in-law's truck for my elderly mother-in-law. The original price was agreed upon for pickup on 9/24 and verified for an electronic title transfer. They arrived, inspected, and drove the vehicle, and all was good until they were told we couldn't complete the transaction without a paper title. We had to reschedule for a new pickup on 9/26 after going to the tag agency and paying 149 for a paper title. On 9/26, another person showed up, inspected, and redrove the truck. He then came back with a $700 deduction due to paint fading on the topper, not actually the truck, which was not an issue with the prior staff. Therefore, they would have to mail us the new check next week. He also didn't have a hauler to take the truck and said they would be there within 3 hours to get it. So he left it in the driveway, unlocked, with the keys on the seat. They didn't pick it up that day, and thankfully the vehicle wasn't stolen. It was not picked up until 9/28. Luckily, I was able to go over on the morning of 9/27 to move it to the yard, then lock it, keep the keys, and had to schedule the pickup with a third-party hauler, which showed up on 9/28 with prior notice. I was able to meet them an hour later, get them the keys, and they took the truck. Finally received the reduced-amount check today, 9/30, 6 days after the original date of the sale.

My dad passed away in February and between the 3 sisters we had no idea how we were going to sell his car easily. None of us wanted to deal with strangers coming to our house and test driving the car. So we chose Carvana. It took MAYBE 1 hour of my time total to set up my account, schedule a date, and the actual pick up. During all the stress of my dads passing, this was hands down one of the easiest things I have had to handle!

Getting a price good for several days was important to me as I was struggling with selling my deceased wife’s car. Once I accepted the offer everything was professionally organized to make the sale and pick up. Payment was immediate with a one to two day business window.
Carvana offered me the best price for my vehicle. The online experience of selling was easy. And David, the driver who came to pick up the car was so caring. When he saw how upset I was (it was my deceased husbands car) he gave me a big hug and reassured me.
I got a quote, found it acceptable and set up a time for pick up. They showed up on time inspected the car and handed me my check. The only draw back was I had to quickly get my deceased wife off of the title in order to sell it to them. I would highly recommend Carvana based on my experience
I accepted your offer on day 6 and uploaded all the documents. It was my deceased stepdaughter's car. I am the Executrix on the estate. You wrote back to me at 11:07PM on day 7 to tell me I had to change the title to my name so it would match my license. I got the first available DMV appt and had it changed within 36 hours!
You then dropped the price by @$2,000.00 because it was after the 7 days! I ACCEPTED AND HAD LEGAL PAPERWORK ON DAY 6, but you would not accept it. Not good business practice in my opinion. More like a scam.
NOW I have had YOUR car left in my driveway for more than 25 hours waiting for your carrier to come back and retrieve it. If it is still here after 48 hours I will charge you for storage!
