I was a tenant under this managing…

I was a tenant under this managing agent at Elizabeth Tower in Deansgate.

Unfortunately my experience was a very disappointing one. We vacated the apartment over a month ago and our deposit still has not been returned. The whole process has been unnecessarily slow, with poor communication, unanswered calls and delayed responses, meaning we have had to chase repeatedly just to get an update.

The proposed deductions were also extremely frustrating. Some related to works that had not actually been carried out, including a cleaning charge despite new tenants having already moved into the property. There were also proposed charges for items left in the apartment, even though we had written confirmation that those items were to be left for the incoming tenants.

We were also falsely accused of causing damage. When I pointed this out and provided clear evidence, they simply removed it from their original deduction amount, which makes me question how the deductions were being calculated in the first place and whether anything was properly checked before charges were proposed.

On top of that, we helped source the new tenants ourselves, who already lived in the building. This saved the landlord and agent advertising time, marketing costs and avoided a potential void period. Even after going out of our way to do that, we have still been left chasing for updates and feel we have not been treated fairly.

The whole deposit process has been stressful, drawn out and poorly handled, and we are still waiting for our money back. Based on my experience, I would not recommend using this managing agent.

I had a very disappointing experience…

I had a very disappointing experience with Charles Louis Lettings & Management.

Helen went above and beyond to get our…

Helen went above and beyond to get our sale over the line. She was available at all hours and messaged and rang whenever needed. Helen was in constant contact with both solicitors parties to push the sale through as quickly and seamlessly as possible.

I cannot recommend Helen and the team at Charles Louis enough.

From the very first conversation through to completion, the service was exceptional. Every member of the team was professional, approachable, and genuinely invested in helping us achieve the best outcome. What really stood out was the family feel throughout the business. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and there was always someone available to offer support, guidance, and reassurance whenever it was needed.

Selling a business can be a challenging and emotional process, but Helen and the team made the journey as smooth as possible. Their communication was excellent, their knowledge was invaluable, and their commitment to getting the deal over the line never wavered.

A huge thank you to Helen and everyone at Charles Louis for their hard work, dedication, and support. If you're looking for a team that genuinely cares and delivers results, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Absolutely awful experience with this…

I rented a property through Charles Lewis Homes for three years, and honestly, the whole experience was incredibly stressful from beginning to end.

When I first moved into the property, I found rat droppings all over the kitchen. I had just come out of homelessness at the time, so I felt like I had no choice but to stay there despite the condition of the property.

Throughout the tenancy, I dealt with multiple leaks in the house. Every time I reported issues, it would take forever for anyone to respond and even longer for the problems to actually be fixed. Communication was poor the entire time I lived there.

One of the things that made me feel most uncomfortable was the constant demand for a spare key. There was also a man who I had never met, never spoken to, and never been properly introduced to repeatedly knocking at my door demanding access and asking for a spare key, which made me feel extremely uneasy in my own home.

On top of that, I was required to have house inspections every three months for the entire three years I lived there. Every few months, someone would come into my home, walk around every room, and take photographs of all my belongings and the condition of the house. It felt invasive and uncomfortable, especially as I was living alone and often had no idea who these people were.

Despite all of this, I looked after the property properly and left the house immaculate when I moved out. Every inspection report throughout my tenancy stated that the property was in excellent condition and that there were no issues.

Now that I’ve moved out, they are attempting to take my entire deposit based on complete false lies that completely contradict the inspection reports they themselves carried out every three months for three years. The situation has become so unfair and stressful that I’ve had no choice but to raise a dispute through the DPS.

I would strongly advise anyone considering renting through Charles Lewis Homes to keep records, photos, emails, and documents for absolutely everything.

Brilliant service and friendly Estate…

Brilliant service and friendly Estate Agents . Their service and Arial pictures via a Drone, which was included in the price . They are Available 7 days a week and even out of office hours puts them miles ahead of any other Estate Agents. In my opinion, don't even bother asking other Estate Agents, just go to the Best, Charles Louis. Fantastic service.

Brilliant service from probably the…

Brilliant service from probably the most efficient and friendly Estate Agents in the North West. Their service and Arial pictures via a Drone, which was included in the price and not an expensive extra really made an impact. Available 7 days a week and even out of office hours puts them miles ahead of any other Estate Agents. In my opinion, don't even bother asking other Estate Agents, just go to the Best, Charles Louis. Also they sold my daughter's house for £40,000 more than a rival Estate Agent valued it at. We will definitely use again, if ever we move.

Highly unprofessional!!

Highly unprofessional!!! After working all night at the hospital, I waited for an hour today morning(11am) for the virtual viewing video call. But no one did, I mailed them and tried to call as well.. But no response. Don't waste someone's time and handout appointments if you don't want to show up
