Honestly

Honestly, there are some reviews I don’t really understand… but I think it’s because not everyone knows what made-to-measure actually means.

This isn’t like buying something from a regular store and getting it in a couple of days. There’s a process, decisions, time… and that’s just not for everyone.

We’re so used to fast and cheap shopping that when something is different, people don’t always get it.

I’ve ordered a few times now and I’ve always known what I was buying. I’d rather wait and have something special than get something quicker that feels like everything else.

It’s not for everyone, but if you understand craftsmanship, you really appreciate it.

I ordered an iconic boot. Only a Fake

I ordered an iconic boot. The seller actually sent a copy that wasn't even remotely similar to the one in the photos. It was sent after 4 months and it was completely different. The problem is that they don't respond to return requests. . Be careful with this seller, as they don't offer any return service, so you should keep what they send you regardless. In fact, having clearly gotten the fit wrong, they applied a piece of leather to the ankle to correct it.They don't offer any customer service whatsoever.

My bank would not even let me pay them , they said it is a dangerous site and could not authorise any payment to them , thankfully , now having read the reviews it would appear to be true , everybody can't be wrong , not one positive review !

ABSOLUTLEY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I WAS SCAMMED!

Words cannot express the level of disappointment and frustration I feel at this point.
I've coveted these boots for so long, I love shoes and the cut and heel and overall
design of Di Marni boots is like the absolute epitome of what I love in a high heel
boot. I had the photo on my phone as my background for so long. Until the day came
Sept 17TH of 2024 when I decided to purchase the Scandall boot finally and paid over $1,700.00
for them not realizing it would be a horrific experience and a monumental waste of time and
my hard earned money.

You sent me someone else's boot. It's not the boot I ordered. It's not The Scandall boot at all.
It's not even close to my size, it's more like a 7-8. The boots have none of the bespoke design
features I requested in detail (with pictures). I sent in a trace of my actual foot, as instructed. So there
is no excuse for you not to get the size correct! If you do not make shoes in my size then
you should have never accepted payment for a service you cannot fulfill.

I have absolutely no use for these shoes, but you knew that when you boxed them up and sent them to me.
The shoes have scuffs on the sole as somebody put them on and walked in them. Perhaps they where a
return and you passed off to me. In any case, it is 100% unacceptable.

I have held off on leaving you any bad reviews anywhere, as to give you the opportunity to make this right.
However, you have shown that you have no respect for me as a paying customer. I want a FULL REFUND
I will happily return these boots!

I waited a full year and 2 months for the previous version of the Scandall boot. Unfortunately I cant upload any pic of this process or of the boot I ordered verses the boot I received. Just know that it was several sized too small and a completely different design altogether. I order 'bespoke' custom made to order boots. I sent in a trace of my foot, and they said they designed a custom last of my foot. They claimed to make the boot, but because it was a large size the leather ripped and that they had to re-make the boot over. Yet somehow they send a boot that looks nothing like the boot i ordered, and now "Carla" has stopped all communication with me. DON'T GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR MONEY.

Total SCAM!!

Total SCAM!!! If I could give a negative rating I would. They pretend they are a fancy luxury custom shop, by having nice images on their website and instagram. But that is really all there is. They try to lure you into placing a order by giving 20-30% discounts on a weekly basis, making you think you get a good deal. Once you place an order, NOTHING happens. I kept asking them every couple of weeks, 'how is the production going, when do you think the pair will be ready'. They kept postponing and postponing, until they didn't respond anymore. I filed a chargeback with my creditcard company, and 'miraculously' got a very extensive email within a few days. The boots were all of a sudden ready, they even sent me some fake images. They'd ship them right away - but only if I'd withdrew my chargeback complaint. Which of course I will not. So next thing they start threatening that they will assign lawyers and it will only take longer this way etcetera. Well, challenge accepted. People, stay away from this company as far as you can. It is literally the worst shopping experience I ever had.

Regarding your order, it is important to note that you have already received your boots and signed for the delivery, as confirmed by the official proof of delivery from the carrier. It is surprising that you chose not to mention this in your review.

As for the process, we offer a completely handcrafted and exclusive service:
each pair is made from scratch based on your exact measurements. This is not a standard or in-stock product. Such a personalised service requires time, precision, and dedication, as we always prioritise quality above speed.

Regarding your claim about “fake images,” we must clarify that the photos shown correspond exactly to the model you received. We do not use renders or unrealistic images for our made-to-order designs.

We also want to state clearly that we have never threatened you in any way. The only communication involving a bank occurred because you filed a claim with your bank, and therefore our conversation was with your bank, not with you.

Finally, it is evident that this review seems written with the intention of causing harm rather than describing an objective experience. Additionally, after checking your public review history, every single one of your reviews is negative, without a single positive one. It is difficult to believe that all your purchases have been “the worst experience,” and that pattern also speaks for itself.

Unfortunely the product I received does…

Unfortunely the product I received does not reflect the quality your brand claims to stand for. Let's start with the ''Kauss Nude Patent" the fabric used is not nude but brown patent. There's no dust bag, no size information on the box or on the sole and on the left shoes, there is glue on the sole, and the thinnest part along the heel is not properly glued (it makes waves) the sole is not centered in the shoes body. The general look of the sole is really cheap looks like plastic. There is a cracked along the toe box on the brown part. The patent is cracking along the side of the stiches. The junction between the red sole and the heel top is really bad and there is 4mm hole in the cover of the heel. the varnish looks like it has been repaint to hide the imperfection, the heel paint is not properly done and there are several scratches and repaint, the sole is wider or over flow, the brown leather is really bad, the inner sole is not glued properly and the gold brand print is not readable, in general the finishing looks amateurish.

The black Manx, the left shoes, the heel is not vertical in 5 degree and the junction is not aligned with the shoes body or the seat. There are many scratches on the red sole and imperfection on the red sole as well. There is a black paint used to hide imperfection on the side and on the point of the shoes and it's really ugly (the black paint is used more than 5mm) There is glue on the heel 7mm visible. There are finger prints all over the shoes and the red sole is wider in the seat of the heel. With the right shoes, the heel angle is 8 degree from the vertical, the metal tip is loose, there are many imperfections on the red sole, scratches, and the edge is not well cut and so many black paint retouch upon checking. The back of the heel and the shoes has been discolored by a cleaner so I am guessing they tried to fix a problem on it. The pair when you sit them together they are not symmetrical, the point of the left shoes is 1cm lower than the right shoes. I am guessing you don't have quality control to check the product before sending the order. How am I supposed to send the pictures and video to show you all the problems. Do not buy from this company.

From the very beginning, we clearly explained that all of our products are handmade to order, with no stock or mass production involved. Each pair takes time, care, and the attention of skilled artisans. Production times range from 8 to 12 weeks — sometimes more — especially when our quality control team identifies any issue and we decide to start the process over, from scratch. That’s part of our promise to deliver excellence.

Unfortunately, in your case, this process was entirely disrupted. Over several weeks, we received constant and aggressive pressure: daily harassment through emails and social media, public accusations, and — most concerning — you contacted other satisfied clients directly to discredit our brand. This kind of behavior is not only unacceptable but legally actionable as harassment and defamation.

Despite this, and after several warnings, we shipped your order in the state it was at the time, as you demanded. Under normal conditions — following our internal standards — this model would have been fully redone, because we prefer to delay than to deliver something that we don’t feel proud of. But you left us no option.

We acknowledge that every handmade item can be improved. But we cannot accept the ongoing abuse, exaggerations, and public accusations, which have caused real harm to a small team working with honesty, passion, and dedication.

We stand by who we are: an artisan footwear brand that may not be for everyone, but is wholeheartedly committed to those who truly value time, detail, and the soul behind every design.

SCAM! Call your bank immediately

Call your bank immediately, they are scam. They are not the previous Charlotte-luxury anymore, which was a good company. They sold the website. They pretend still selling the DiMarni but the real DiMarni is already close due to the Russia-Ukraine war. They are liars. The website currently makes fake DiMarni with poor quality and that’s why they have so many complaints about the quality. Before you pay, they are nice and gentle. But once you have paid, you will have a pure nightmare with them.

2. DiMarni has not shut down.
DiMarni is one of our design lines. It’s true that part of the production was based in Ukraine, and the war forced us to reorganize. That’s when we built our own atelier in Spain, where we now craft each pair with even greater care and higher quality standards than before.

3. We are still us.
Our designs haven’t changed hands. If anything, things have only improved — more materials, more models, more craftsmanship, and more attention to detail. We don’t sell imitations or work with third parties.

If I could leave zero stars I would

If I could leave zero stars I would. First, a $1,200.00 pair of boots for my wife, a year and a half wait, poor communication with the seller and reps then five minutes into wearing them the heal breaks. Emailed customer support with my complaint and photos of the damage and still haven’t heard back. That’s been about a month now. The worst quality and shopping experience I’ve ever had.

I think they are a scam.

I am not sure if company is real or an internet scam. I ordered a pair of shoes in May 2024 and still have not received them. Over 7 months have passed since I placed the order. I have sent several emails and they rarely respond and when they have, they just make excusses for the delays. I will never purchase from them again.

Took 2 Years And They Still Got it Wrong

Short version: This is the most cursed purchase I've ever made and still isn't resolved at the time of writing. They delivered over a year late. They lied to me constantly about delivery dates, then lied about needing this time to fix quality issues; the boots finally arrived, and they sucked (details below). They took the boots back and have ignored my emails for 2 weeks now. At worst, they are scammers. At best, they are so incompetent they look like scammers.

Long version: I placed the order in July 2023. After saying "just 20 more weeks" 2-3 times, they finally arrived in September 2024. The materials were beautiful. The craftsmanship was trash. Seams were very wonky, edges were ripped or scuffed, excess glue was everywhere, and after their second wear INDOORS, the sole actually started to come off. They charged £700 for these boots, after a 30% discount.

I sent them photos. They agreed a return. The boots were collected. I never got a collection receipt and they have stopped replying to my emails.

Their biggest excuse for needing the full year to make boots they sold me, is they wanted to open their own "atelier" to fix some production quality issues they were having. After waiting over a year for them to fix their quality issues, they sent me a rush job anyway, which they admitted (in writing) should have been re-made before sending to me.

They hide behind the excuse that these boots are "custom made" and so they cannot give a refund. They then act as if this gives them unlimited time to hold up their end. As if picking a colour, a shoe size, and a model, is anything like bespoke.

I was going to wait until I got my order, or a refund, before leaving this review, but it's been 18 months since I placed my order and I've had enough. Next if I don't hear from them, I'm going to my bank.

Update: 17 Jan 2025 - They've replied to the email, say they're still making a new pair. They're weeks last the point they said they'd have the new pair to me, of course...

Update: 06 June 2025 - The re-made pair arrived. The finish quality was better, but overall the leather wasn't as nice and they made them with the wrong lining colour. Literally 2 years and they still got it wrong. Avoid these morons.

How are you? We understand your frustration after a process that took much longer than expected, and we sincerely regret the issues with the first pair. While the defects were minor, we made the decision to remake the boots from scratch because we hold ourselves to high artisanal standards.

Regarding the second pair (June 2025):
• It was fully handmade in our own atelier using full-grain calf leather from Italy, the same tannery used by several major luxury brands.
• The finishing and stitching passed our double quality control.
• We acknowledge that the final lining did not match the requested tone. It was an internal oversight, although it does not affect the structural quality or comfort of the boots.

On timing and communication:
We work 100% made-to-order, and each model requires a different process—design, pattern making, cutting, assembling, finishing—which makes it very difficult to guarantee exact delivery dates. We always provide estimated timelines, but never fixed ones, as each pair presents unique variables that can shift production.

We never “disappear”—we always respond, although during intense production phases, replies may take a bit longer.
