I order a Sainsbury’s chop shop. 2 items the same brand that was on offer. They sent me a substitute of the same flavour charged me one at offer price and one at normal price despite them being on off... See more

Shocking service !
Shocking service !! First time user and delivered to wrong address.Offered me a refund within 5 working days Ordered from Sainsburys main delivery service for last 5 years and never had problem . I was told previously that Chop Chop service is a farce . I should have listened but never use again .

If I could give the company zero stars
If I could give the company zero stars, I would.
Order placed, accepted, monies taken. Sat waiting for order, which did not arrive. Checked emails to see order had been cancelled, saw another email saying order delivered. Called help desk to be told order was cancelled due to personal shoppers, however the app was still taking orders. Was told I would have to wait 5-7 days for refund, which was over £40. Called on day 7 and finally got monies returned.
Emailed sainsburys to complain, to be told chop chop operates independently and therefore call chop chop.
I am appalled that Sainsburys would put their name to this company/app as it obviously does not work. I can see most customers have experienced the same issues as I have.
First and last time I use chop chop. I have also stopped using Sainsburys as they must know how poor this company is working, yet still continues to work alongside them.
What a mess chop chop is.
I shop regularly online at Sainsbury's and deliveries are perfect. Today I tried Sainsbury's chop chop. I received my order but it was absolutely wrong, they sent me someone else's order. I phoned customer service and I think the customer service call center is in somewhere like the Philippines or Vietnam, the girl could barely speak English and in the end I couldn't understand her and she hung up on me. I phoned back and spoke to another operator whose English was just as bad but she was more polite and she seemed to understand after I struggled and struggled to try to explain. While I was on the phone with her my order turned up, the correct order. I told her, but I don't know if she understood. After a while I managed to let her know that I had two orders delivered, one was correct and the other one was somebody else's. There was nothing at all on the paper bag to identify it except handwritten "London". She told me to take the incorrect order down to the store myself today and hand it to them!! I told her that I wasn't going to do that. Firstly I have no idea which store it came from, secondly I have no information about who the order was for, and I can imagine trying to give it to customer service in-store, they would think I was insane was no identification on the paper bag. Also, I am disabled and can't walk well, I use crutches, which is why I order online. There is no way I would be able to carry the order down to a store even if I knew which store it was. I told her that was out of the question she must send a driver to pick up this incorrect order. She put me on hold for a while, and then she came back and in the worst broken English told me something about a driver coming. She struggled to try to tell me something. And I said "Are you trying to tell me that the store is sending a driver to pick up this incorrect order?". She said maybe yes maybe no. I asked her to try to explain. From what I understood she said keep the order if someone comes to pick it up give it to them, if they don't come keep it. Absolutely outrageous service trying to deal with customer service who have almost no English is a nightmare. Surely if people are going to be employed as customer service operators in an english-speaking country they should at least be able to speak English?
Then when I checked my bank account, and yes, I was actually charged for the error order. Fortunately when I phoned back I spoke to a customer service operator who's English was excellent who was able to begin the process of refunding me the amount in error.
I will never use chop chop again. It's an absolute mess!
Wish I'd Read Reviews
I order from Sainsbury's nearly every week but thought I would try ChopChop.
I got a text to say the driver was here and that was the last text I got in English. The rest were in Portuguese. I can read a little Portuguese and with the help of Google translate, I managed to work out, after going round in circles, that he was 2 miles away. I gave up in the end and rang to cancel.
Sainsbury deliver drivers are amazing but ChopChop appears to use freelance drivers who think they are doing UberEats. Surely someone at Sainsbury's sees these reviews and they must be bombarded with complaints every day of orders not received. How can they still be so bad?
DO NOT BOTHER WASTING YOUR TIME WITH…
DO NOT BOTHER WASTING YOUR TIME WITH THIS SERVICE!
My mum placed an order for items needed for dinner for my non verbal disabled sister. We were left 2 hours with absolutely no communication. We rang to find out where our order was and got the most disinterested customer service agent I have ever come across in my life. Told it would be about 20 minutes. More than 20 minutes later received a text from Uber telling us our order was cancelled.
We rang the number on the text and got a customer service agent who honestly sounded like a robot parroting back a textbook continuously repeating sorry for the inconvenience. They then tried to give the reason behind the cancellation of the order (completely brushing over the fact we told them my autistic sister now didn’t have something she needed for her dinner) as there were no drivers available.
We live near one of the busiest shopping centres/retail parks in the country with Uber drivers by the bucketload. So to try to use that as an excuse was just a blatant lie.
So all in all this service is beyond useless, I would NEVER use it again and now we have a very upset non verbal adult who we can’t explain why she doesn’t have something she needed this evening. Waste of time and money and then 5 days to get a refund is beyond disgusting.
Absolutely hopeless service
Absolutely hopeless service and certainly wouldn’t use again!!! Left 2 hours waiting for my order to be delivered and then cancelled!!
I called after an hour and a half and got the most uninterested customer services agent…honestly felt like I was keeping her up. Second agent not much better!!
All that time wasted…no shopping…and got to wait 5 days for a refund!!!
Please don’t waste your time…especially considering this service is ‘run’ by Sainsburys!!
I wish I would have read the reviews…
I wish I would have read the reviews first .
If Sainsbury’s read these order number 60DC61.
I normally get my monthly shopping via Sainsbury’s online never had any issues so I needed so bits and decided to use there chop chop service thinking Ss it’s the same company I assume that it will be just as good as my normally online orders NO!
Same as most people ordered Sainsbury’s took money from account it’s not pending they actually took it then they cancelled order after waiting hour and half no explanation they sent a email saying order cancelled we haven’t taken payment lie they took payment ,
So I waited as you do with most services for a refund to be issued seven days later still no refund , contacted them no apologies said I will get a email today confirming that they will refund and that it will go in my
Bank no email still no refund , quick to take your money for services goods not recived but don’t automatically refund .
I’ve never from a company with such a big name had such a shocking service super unprofessional, and I’m sure illegal to take consumers money for nothing .
No goods .
Really put me off even wanting to shop via there traditional online shop .
I would rather go elsewhere in principle now.
WORST SERVICE EVER
WORST SERVICE EVER! I ordered for my disabled mum. Shopping never came!! I called 3 hours later to be told the shopping had been delivered but it hadn’t. The bar that shows ordered then being picked, then out for delivery never moved! Absolute lack of communication with them. Have spent 6 weeks trying to get my refund! They said today I will get a refund nearly £60 they owe me. I can only hope. My advice DONT BOTHER!
Don’t touch it !
On the Sainsbury’s website they advertise a service called “Chop Chop” which offers up to 30 items delivered within the hour. As we both have limited mobility, I thought I would try it out . BAD Mistake !
Within the hour I got a message saying that my order had been cancelled by “my shopper” and I wouldn’t be charged for it .Wrong ! They have taken the full amount (almost £60) from my account meaning we are now that much short for groceries . My telephone calls get grovelling apologies and assurance that it will be refunded in five days! My advice is do not try this service unless you are willing to do without the groceries ( or the money to buy replacements elsewhere for five days) .I have now reported this to my bank to try to get my money back .
We have used Sainsbury’s for our weekly shopping delivery for the last six months but given this service and the poor response when spoken to on the telephone we are looking elsewhere .
Absolute waste of time
Absolute waste of time! Order accepted at 3.45pm - still asking at 5.05pm - order cancelled by personal shopper at 5.08pm. What a joke. Will stick with Ubereats or Deliveroo from now on. Sainsbury’s - not a good look for your brand…
I shop at Sainsbury’s all the time but…
I shop at Sainsbury’s all the time but I need a few items so I thought I would try the chop service this is the first time I used this service and I was shocked I had someone else’s shopping turn up so I phoned them they said they would get back to me in half hour the man did phone me back said I won’t be getting my shopping I can keep the other person shopping and he is going to refund me I have had no email about refund and not been refunded yet will never use this again
Avoid avoid avoid
I would give zero stars if this were possible. Took my money and confirmed the order and then just didn't show up. I called customer services and was promised a full refund. 11 days later, still no refund. Shocking service. Avoid!!!
First time user, Never again!
First time user. Chopchop Harlow only brought half the items. I believe you achieve the 60 minute time limit claimed everything else was not in stock like pickled onions, baked beans and bacon but they were in stock I went there to check. Eggs are old eggs flat when fried. Date is to 6 June Are they from Sainsburys? Wasted my freebie delivery on 3 items one substituted one old. Won’t use again!
Rubbish Sainsbury’s Chop Chop
Tried Sainsbury’s Chop Chop for first time and what a poor experience, totally unreliable. Confirmed post code was in area, made order and paid at 16:30, delivery due at 18:30. At 17:50 we had a notice saying order was cancelled. When we rang it was because we were 0.3 miles outside the 3 mile radius, despite all being ok when ordered. In addition, the system took £5.05 extra in case we were not in, and now we have to wait for its return despite the order being cancelled. Absolute rubbish, put us off using Sainsbury’s again let alone this ChopChop nonsense!
Food is good
Food is good. Bit pricy but the portions are large. I like the environment.
I’d have given minus if i could
Thought I’d try chop chop what a mistake I made. Ordered on 1st May at 12-05 waited till 1-50 still saying picking on the site. I phoned chop chop and told them to cancel the order I was going out and already late. As I was going out the door the man came I told him I’d cancelled it. He took it away. The payment said pending at my bank and they still collected the money. I’ve waited till today 12 days later for them to refund me, I’ve just rang chop chop and they say nothings online to say I didn’t get this order!! They’ve rang the store and the store dont keep records of orders. I’ve been made to feel I’m lying!!!! In the end she said I’ll get a refund in 5 days. Never again will I use chop chop. If I could I’d have given this review minus.
