All I can say is I've had no hassle with the clamXAV product or the service since I've been a paying customer. While updates and installs run in the background I don't notice any degradation in my Mac's performance. Even when a full virus scan is in progress, no probs.

The subscription is good value, in my opinion.

I've been a user of ClamXav for quite a while. I don't really remember when I first started using it, but it was sometime back when the "Macs don't get viruses" idea was coming under some pushback. I looked at quite a few other applications and saw what the ClamXav folks offered was clean, low-impact, effective, and easy. I appreciate ClamXav and the folks who make my computing experience so much better.

A great software product that gets on with the job. Just install, turn it on, and forget your virus worries. I've run it on several Macs for longer than I can remember. I don't think I have ever had to contact customer service about anything. ClamXAV just works.

I’m very happy with ClamXav. It really doesn’t slow down my computer and I didn’t get viruses so far.
The customer services dept. is very helpful and reacts very quickly.

A down-to-earth company that does what it promises.

The software program does its thing and I have no issues with it. Did have to call tech support one time. Phone was answered promptly and the issue was quickly resolved.

Easy to use and reliable. Have had it for years with no problems. Love it!

For me, one who is embarrassed to mention what version OS and Firefox I'm on, it's one of few computer programs who have not forsaken me.

Over the years I have subscribed to many AV companies (McAFee, Kaspersky, Malwarebytes, and of course Norton). None come close to the value I have gotten from ClamXAV. I have never had any of my computers infected with a virus since I switched to ClamXAV. Even before they had subscriptions, I donated because of how seamless it is to use and update. The truth is I have used ClamXAV for so long I don't reliably remember how long I have used it. At least, 10-15 years.

If there's still anyone who thinks that Macs can't be infected by a virus--HAH! Clam XAV has nabbed a few for me, instantly, and saved me a lot of grief. Well priced, with automatic updates and scans. As for customer service . . . I've never needed it!

The only antivirus software I've used and trusted for my Macs for years now. Constantly updated. Catches and quarantines all suspicious files thoroughly.

I've been using clamxav for years and I appreciate that it's always running in the background, it's affordable and seems like a legit option from someone who is trying to do it right.

By now, my reliance on ClamXAV goes back, I don't know, three or four computers - over a decade, I suspect. During that span, I've had a few interactions with ClamX customer service and tech support - all pleasant and positive. Also during that span, I have had a couple of minor infections, all intercepted and neutralized by The Clam. I regard it as essential as electricity, and well worth more than my subscription.
