The latest release of ClamXAV greatly enhances its real-time protection. I tested it against over 150 known malware samples from reliable sources. Not only did it intercept all of them, it detected some before they even had an opportunity to hit my downloads. It outperformed numerous other Mac anti-malware products. Low on system impact.

I contacted support via email and asked a question about my account. I was not expecting to get my question answered on the first pass or for it to be easy. It turns out that I did get my question answered the next day. It was the correct answer and the support rep offered some other helpful information. I was very happy to see the high level of support they provided. If you're reading this, you know how poorly most business do support. You may speak to Guam or the philippines and they read off of a script not really helping you because they don't care. I had the best support i've ever had here!!!

We've been with ClamXAV for a long time. We stay because they have excellent technology and support. We had only one problem, I sent a message, and their support team called me right back! It was operator error of course, but so thankful for their timely and courteous support.

I want to especially thank you for your teams fantastic programming skills and persistence in keeping Apple users safe from digital mishaps. I have had two or three notices from ClamXAV about buried anomalies. ClamXAV has always been a reliable product for me, no failures.

ClamXAV provides all that I require in online security for Mac, enabling a broad range of safety/security checks in a simple, straightforward format that can be easily & instantly accessed. Having it ticking over in the background ensures peace of mind at a very reasonable cost, plus providing coverage for additional computers. Customer service is also excellent. I recommend Clam XAV to anyone using a Mac.

I began using clam about 15 yrs ago. Liked what i read, so I tried it (free back then). Clam has kept me protected, up-to-date on new viruses and alerted thru the years. it runs smoothly and efficiently in the background. it's fast. too. I'm a satisfied Mac user.

Fast and efficient. It only lightly loads the system unlike other AV products. Product support is excellent via their webpage.

Very few folk 'like' their Facebook page.

I used ClamXAV for a long time while it was offered as freeware, and really didn’t have any qualms when it switched to an annual subscription. I see virus, malware, etc. protection as essential, and since I’ve used ClamXAV have never had a successful attack of any kind on any of my Macs. The software operates seamlessly in the background and while it has a simple interface, it allows for a level of customization that I find quite useful. Scans on the SSD of my MacBook Air are slower than I would like, but the software runs in the background and can be set to “ignore” my music folder, which takes up the bulk of my drive. Overall this is a trusted product that is offered for a very modest price, so I’m more than happy to support the developers as they continue to improve the functionality of this software. No doubt there are fancier aniti-viral products on the market that offer more features, but ClamXAV has served me very well, and so far plays nicely with all of my other applications, so I’m not even aware of it as it sits quietly in the background keeping my Mac out of harms way.

I have been using this product since its beta days as a freebie. It has been stable through its progressive iterations and offered consistent updates for potential hostile invasions of my Mac. I consider myself a thankful user for a great product which excels in an abundance of competitors.

I have used AVG for years on my MS Windoz computers but when I got tired of constant crashes in Vista, in 2009, I bought a 27” iMac and looked for a dedicated Apple antivirus system. I knew I didn’t want Norton or Symantec or even AVG again because OSX would not be their main concern.
I like how your product has progressed since then with nicer design and especially having updates loaded every time prior to a virus check. Every single APP file I download gets dropped into ClamXAV before anything else. I’m not sure this is necessary since it is also always on checking all my Internet traffic.
I am happy to be getting a renewal and continued protection (now more than ever!!).

GREAT protection for all of our Macs

Been using ClamXAV for many, many, many years (going all the way back when it was offered as a free app). Even then, I liked it so much that I gave more than my share of donations to support their efforts and the app's ongoing development. Now, it's become an extremely reasonably priced way to protect your computer(s). I find that it locates and quarantines infected files that other apps miss. It's amazingly user-friendly and can easily be customized to suit anyone's needs. It's also extra nice to use something from a small, conscientious and independent developer rather than some big corporate giant who doesn't really care about their users.

Couldn't be happier with great functionality of the app and the wonderful support I've received over the years.

i have been a customer of clamxav since 2016, and their company has been top notch for me. i remember emailing them early on with a question regarding scrolled information i had read during a scan. they got back in touch immediately with an answer even i could understand!

it’s worth repeating that upon getting my 2021 renewal notice i replied “…i am glad to know your software and team are keeping the insanity out of my mac! i will also let my subscription renew automatically. i normally do not use that option, but with your company it’s like water: i need it to survive…”

I've been using Clamxav since 2005, not very often have I had a virus or other bug, but every once in a while it finds one for me. Most happy, nice safety net to have.

I have lost track of how long, over how many Macintoshes, and how many versions of MacOS we have depended upon our ClamXAV subscription to quietly and unobtrusively protect our computers from the Internet's miscreants. We are even warned about attachments that contain Windows viruses that are not a threat to us, but we would not want to pass them along to our friends.

ClamXAV continues to work very well for us and our children and grandchildren as well (we gifted subscriptions to them long ago).

ClamXAV is an excellent piece of software which has helped me a lot and gives me piece of mind. Well worth the modest cost of a subscription. I recommend it to all Mac users.

Clamxav has been protecting my Mac for the past ten years and I wouldn't be without it. It's a small company as, as such, you get a fantastic service; good responses to questions with easy to use, intuitive software and they don't bombard you with spam. This is the reason they have become the respected, trusted market leader. It's worth every penny. The renewal process is simple too.

My recent experience (what TrustPilot asks about) is with an automatic renewal, which went seamlessly. But more interesting is my ongoing experience. ClamXAV offers enough options for me to get what I want done (scan whole drive or folder, auto-scan inserted disks) but few enough options for the interface to stay simple.
I don't know enough to say whether it catches everything, but it has flagged mail attachments, quarantined them and notified me. Otherwise it just does its job, with no fanfare. I'm happy to renew.

I've been using this product for close to 10 years now and I swear by it. It's reliable and accurate, and the software never bogs down your system. Plus, the developers of this software are personable and responsive so it's an added bonus that purchasing a great application also supports great people in this case.

I was impressed by the quality, speed and helpfulness of the technical support I received when I thought I had been caught by a nasty scam and was worried I had malicious software installed on my Mac laptop.
