ClamXAV has helped us keep our servers safe. With our Search and Rescue group, it is imperative we get the messages asking for help.

We have to make sure that all messages are valid and true, so by having them protect our servers, they are protecting the community as well.

I've been using ClamXAV for a long time, after now-defunct magazine MacUser recommended it. I like that it runs seamlessly in the background without slowing down my processor as some utilities do. I use the scheduling feature to run it at night so I wake up to a safe machine.

I first got ClamX years ago, so long ago I can't remember when!
I had been told yaers before that that Macs didn't get viruses ..... but had discovered this was untrue. They just don't get anywhere near as many and nowhere near as often as other platforms.
I ran ClamX and it found and removed a few bad guys. I have found a few bad guys since, but ClamX found them before they could do any harm.
I am one of the few people in my area who can diagnose and repair Macs, and I always recommend ClamX to those who want an antivirus on their machine.

I have use ClamXAV for over a year now to help protect my MacBook Pro. This has been an excellent service with outstanding and highly interactive client support. With so many "bad-actors" on the net, it is essential to bave a "GOOD-TEAM" on my side. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND ClamXAC.

I found ClaXAV in a uni teacher's comments, using it to catch malware from school computers to keep his Mac clean. This after being surprised to hear from a print shop that my usb had viruses. I like ClamXav for it's simplicity of use, I didn't want a program with a VPN & Firewall as I already have both. It's super that ClamXav focuses on eliminating malware from either usb or main drives + that the purchased version does live-scans in email, notifiying immediately for malware removal. Nice addition that we easily can select automatic weekly scans now. Runs in the background with no interference while I continue with whatever I'm doing on my system, notifies when complete, with results. Support was prompt with an inquiry I sent. I like it!

Clam XAV has been protecting my Mac for many years now....I believe since about 2009 or 2010. Originally, it was freeware, so I tried it on the advice of a friend because I felt I had nothing to lose. Understanding that it is costly and time consuming to develop and maintain software and to keep up with the latest threats, I had no qualms about paying a nominal fee once there was a charge for the service several years later.

If you've got a Mac, you cannot lose with this. I've had ZERO problems with intrusions while using this product. The software has caught and isolated anything I've come in contact with. With common sense online usage (don't click on the rare pop-up that wants to hold your machine hostage, just shut down), you will never have a problem. The price is extremely reasonable compared to other options, from what I have seen. In addition, I've never seen any privacy issues or sharing of my personal information connected to this service.

I personally wouldn't use anything else.
