My experience with Hiive has been fantastic. I had been looking for a way to sell pre-IPO shares for a while, and Hiive was by far the easiest to work with, the most transparent with the current state of the market, and my deal was executed smoothly with fair transaction costs. I would gladly work with them again in the future and hope to get the opportunity to do so.

I have been investing private companies’s shares with Hiive platform for couple month Eid now, and I find it a very great platform and convenient to use. The communication from staffs there are extremely helpful, commutative, and clear on every step I need to take. I had listed my holdings on other private market sites for over a year and had no success. Hiive managed the entire sale process from attracting a willing buyer, assembling the necessary volume of securities and the vital and difficult step of securing Board approval of the share transfer. Job well done.

Trading private equity (in my case a sale of stock) is something that has been traditionally very difficult to do. It is still not easy and you must navigate very limited liquidity, fluctuating valuations, and a process that in the end requires legal contracts and exchange of funds between 3 parties (buyer, seller and company) and could be blocked/fall through along the way. It is just the nature of the transaction.

With this in mind, the process of selling shares on Hiive was as transparent and smooth as could be expected. I appreciated the ability to list my shares easily and get liquidity when I needed it. Overall, Hiive did what they promised.

Hiive provided useful resources and made what could have been a complicated sale feel secure and easy. I would recommend it to anyone new to navigating the secondary market.

The Hive is a great system. I recently wrote a review regarding scheduling which I was very frustrated by. However, I am back to manual scheduling and finding it much easier.

While watching Moore's law is dead I did a bit of research to see if Light matter were public. It turned out stock was available through Hive. Checking on Hiive took me to Trustpilot. There wasn't much information but it was enough to make me avoid Hiive. Thank you Trustpilot.

Most offers Im interested in are private sellers of future contracts or a fund the private person manages. Some bids are way, as in 50%+ above the ask, and nothing happens. Update: support did reply but still the shares I want are not actually available for direct transfer.

Hiive charged me $25,000 to introduce me to a thief, Owen Meyer. Meyer was arrested a year earlier in New Jersey on multiple drug charges and Hiive never did any checking on him. Now I have to get a lawyer to go after those incompetent bunglers at hiive.
hiive can be a total ripoff!

My experience with Hiive has been nothing but a disaster.

1. Poorly designed user interface (cumbersome and messy).
2. Deals available on the platform but already 100% subscribed (waste of time).
3. Your investment may not go through even after signing an agreement with them (via Sydecar) and funding it before the funding deadline because it has been oversubscribed (not a trustworthy intermediary).
4. Poor communication from Hiive: even if your investment has no chance of being accepted, Hiive won't automatically and promptly inform you about it. So you will wire the funds in vain. Then, you need to go through the refund process (waste of time and money). The refund was processed right away by Sydecar, which is a good thing.

I cannot in good conscience recommend Hiive to any serious investor.
