The tutoring itself is great, we really liked our son’s tutor - she was fun, engaging and firm which was a really good fit as he can be easily distracted. He did alternative weeks of maths and Englis... See more

Amazing platform! Cluey matched a tutor to my son perfectly and took into consideration all of my requests. My son is enjoying his lessons and gets along great with Michael (his tutor). The platform is easy to use, everyone is super helpful and I even get reminder calls if I’m running late
I signed my grandson up for the special deal. Ie $50 for English and $50 for maths. After 4 weeks i would be contacted to see if I wanted to continue. The price would then go to $75.
The company took $200 for the special bookings and then took $99 per week. No consultation.
I was assured that the tutor would initially do an assessment to get a baseline and starting point. This didn't happen. Trying to contact the company is a nightmare. All automated with no option to speak to a consultant. I was given the runaround and couldn't get any acknowledgement that I wanted to cancel. In the end I had to visit my bank, cancel my card and start a money recovery process. Not a reputable company, avoid.

The 4 tutors we had in 4 weeks were great. But, there was 4 tutors in 4 weeks. There was no consistency with tutors. Even with the tutors being good, you can not speak to anyone and the chat feature takes ages with little to no resolution. I'm trying to cancel but not optimistic it will be easy - as nothing else has been. The chat has said they will be in contact in 24-48 hours with my cancel request outcome. Again, I'm not optimistic.
Update: They took money out of my account which wasn’t invoiced nor reflected in the hub. I’ve had to cancel my card with the bank and make a dispute payment claim.

What a mistake!! Signed up for Cluey tutoring after kids attended CodeCamp at school. Took money from our card for trial lessons, failed to set us up properly on their online Hub (very, very sus). NO WAY to contact them (spent daaaaays trying eVeRyThInG) to attend/cancel/ make/access bookings or speak to a human. Money just keeps coming off our account - ZERO tutoring given. No way to stop it! Contacted bank, who told us if Cluey had our details, we should CANCEL OUR BANK CARD immediately. Only (magically?) received a refund when we started the bank’s formal complaint/reclaim service. Hateful company. Feels deliberately impossible to stop them taking your money and getting it back - i.e. a SCAM.
Pulled kids out of CodeCamp.

They cancel at last minute and can’t get your money just make you reschedule and cancel again don’t book them
Parents beware
Don’t give your card details and call the police immediately also Netsafe and your bank if you do.This company is a SCAM and FRAUD company.
Great tutors suited to my child's needs, and enjoys her tutor lessons
Cluey are hopeless. No improvement in maths for my two boys. The “ hub “ is a mess. Can never speak to a human being… to cancel my subscription I had to cancel my credit card. STAY AWAY FROM THEM
This company is a rort. I do not question their tutors but their business plan and customer service is despicable. I joined on a "trial" for $200, $50 per lesson for maths and $50 per lesson for English, to give me some time to see if it suited my child. A few days later they debited $99 from my account for the next lesson which I had not agreed to but was apparently in the documentation they sent me but not what was discussed on the phone. There was a no refund policy so I was stuck with the charge. On another occasion I needed to reschedule but wasn't able to do so with the same tutor, after trying numerous times and getting in contact with them they said they didn't have a cancellation but then a few days later said they were processing one and I could not reschedule or get a refund. Do yourself a favour and find a company that is not just in it for the money!
I gave 1 star because the tutors are great, they are knowledgeable, skilful at adapting the learning materials to your child’s needs and relatable. However…. The company itself offers below standard customer service, there is no way of communicating verbally with anyone (live chat is NOT verbal communication!) and their terms and conditions are woeful. For $89 per sessions, you cannot cancel EVER (or lose your money) but Cluey can cancel with 0 notice anytime they need. If you tutor is not available for the session, you CANNOT opt out (or lose your money) you HAVE to take whoever is available (and therefore someone who has no history with your child). There used to be an option to suspend the sessions for the school holidays, but that is no longer available. Now Cluey gives you a credit for every cancelled session. Sounds good? EXCEPT you CANNOT use these credits towards future sessions you would normally have with your tutor because Cluey make you pay 4 WEEKS WORTH OF SESSIONS IN ADVANCE and the booking calendar does not go beyond the 4 weeks, which means you are stuck with credits you can only use as added sessions on top of your regular ones. Genius. If you can find another company who offers one on one tutoring sessions online, AVOID CLUEY! And send me their names pls!
Cluey are a rip off. I signed for a trial lesson which is $75.00, they charged me $120.00. I`ve canceled all sessions then they took another $200.00 out of my account. They are still having sessions for my daughter, even after I`ve cancelled all sessions. Now they want more money off me.
You can`t even speak to anyone. It`s all recorded messages.
Worst customer service I`ve ever had to deal with.
Stay away from these clowns.
For anybody looking for online tutoring for their kids - AVOID Cluey Learning . they call repeatedly while they are trying to sign you up and then as soon as they've taken your money they never speak to you again. Their phone systems are all automated and emails un monitored. If you can't access your online account for whatever reason like me - your screwed. By far the worst colostomy service I've ever come across. 0/10 would not recommend
Buyer beware. In my experience was offered two discount sessions to see how things go with phone operator insisting “you can stop at any time” and that after those two sessions I could fully decide how I wanted to move forward - within an hour, had access to the Hub noticed I was charged for the first two weekly session, was going to be charged for the 3rd session (three weeks away) in four days time, could not cancel (oh they forgot to mention I was on the budget plan which precludes cancellations) so I asked for a full refund on the same day I signed up and this has to be agreed to by a manager! What I was told by the operator was not the full transparent truth, I got a lot of little surprises once I signed up. E.g., you can’t stop at any time, you can stop but will be charged for two full sessions; your first sessions are non/refundable; you have poor flexibility with their plans and their plan are levelled which they don’t mention either and unless you pay for many sessions up front, you have poor flexibility. In my opinion this is commercially predatory behaviour you’re not a customer they have everything set up to their benefit and your cost. Very shady.
We signed up with Cluey for both of our children and paid upfront for four sessions each. Three weeks in, we’ve only had one successful session, one failed session, and nothing else delivered—yet we were still billed again!!!!
The process has been stressful, a waste of time, and most importantly, our children have not received the support we were promised. Communication is terrible—you can’t get hold of anyone easily, and resolving issues is far too difficult.
Sadly, I cannot recommend Cluey to other parents.
I second all of the one star reviews. I am incredibly unhappy with them and would give them zero stars of possible. They chased and chased me, gave me the hard sell, and I signed my child up and paid $300 upfront. I had told them about my child's neurodiversity, struggles, and school absence. The tutor did not acknowledge this at all, nor did they ask appropriate questions to understand why my child needs tutoring. I watched from the side as my child tried not to cry for the session as they were peppered with way too many questions and opinions for someone with their diagnoses, which Cluey had been informed about. Ultimately the tutor told my child that "none of this is worth killing yourself over", which is abhorrent on many levels. I have made written and verbal complaints to Cluey, but no one in management will speak directly with me. I will not put my child through any more sessions, so I have lost $250. I am currently lodging complaints with NSW Fair Trading, ASQA and the ACCC, and am considering going to the media with my concern. My daughter will never give tutoring another chance, thanks to this horrendous experience. Cluey is not an ally for children needing help or their parents trying to help them.
Really unhappy with the experience - paid, did just one mock conversation, and it was totally useless, it may work with english, but with other languages, its not working. It said it work with Polish - but it isnt. Asked for a refund immediately - didnt get one. Do not recommend. :(
Terrible support by the business themselves. The tutor was great but if you are a no show (no 4 hour notice) they charge you full fee but if they are a no show and you sit waiting for them they don't give you a lesson credit. All one sided and you can't contact or speak to anyone once they sign you up and start taking your money. Avoid at all cost!!!!
A really good option for time poor parents. My son enjoys logging online and sitting with his tutor doing fun maths activities (and my son doesn’t usually think maths is fun so this is big!)
I was a tutor for this company and it was an awful place to work. I had been with the company for 3 years and only stayed for my wonderful students. As someone who was a qualified teacher, I was paid a minimum wage. When I needed to take some time off, they "punish you." I had the same students for 3 years and they only stayed because I was there. They really don't care about quality and standard. I definitely would think twice before signing up to this company. For what you pay... not worth it. But if you are LUCKY to get a great teacher, then that makes up for everything.
We have been using Cluey for a few years now for two of our daughters for math's and english. We have seen an improvement in their grades and are overall pleased with how thigs are going.
