Special Sarah I always get serviced from her. She's really helpful and understandable makes everything easier.
I just had her help yesterday when I was renewing my policy she was so reliable and gave me the best option I wasn't aware of.

Unfair £40 Policy Cancellation Fee after passing your divining test
Unfair £40 Policy Cancellation Fee.
I am writing to raise a formal complaint regarding the £40 cancellation fee applied following the termination of my son learner driver insurance policy.
My son , Upon successfully passing his driving test, I notified Collingwood in order to update his circumstances, acting promptly and in good faith. I was then advised that the policy could not continue and must be cancelled, with a £40 cancellation fee applied and I was threatened that if we do not pay this cancellation fee then they will contact the debt collection against my son who is a university student.
I dispute the fairness and reasonableness of this charge. Passing a driving test is an expected and foreseeable outcome of holding learner insurance, and the cancellation arose solely as a direct consequence of compliance with my obligation to inform you of a material change in status. The cancellation was therefore not due to misconduct, misuse of the policy, or any failure on our part.
In these circumstances, I consider the application of a cancellation fee to be disproportionate and inconsistent with the principle of fair treatment of customers. I respectfully request to wave the £40 fee as a reasonable and appropriate resolution of this matter.
Please treat this letter as a formal complaint under your internal complaints procedure and confirm the expected timescale for resolution. Should this matter not be resolved satisfactorily, I reserve the right to escalate the complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service without further notice.

Sarah from the taxi department is honestly the best call handler they have. She helped me take out my policy almost 2 years ago and couldn’t have been more helpful. She recognised me today when I phoned up with a query and again couldn’t have been anymore helpful.

The same as many others. It was not made clear that on passing the test you would be landed with a £40 cancellation fee. Since all learners will (hopefully) pass their test at some point unless you pass it on the anniversary of your insurance you will end up paying the fee.
