1 star – A completely unacceptable experience from start to finish
I ordered a plush burgundy super king‑size bed from Comfy Beds, and what I received was nowhere close to the colour advertised. Not once, but twice, they delivered beds in completely different colour to what I ordered. The discrepancy was obvious in the photos, yet they refused to acknowledge it and dragged the issue out for weeks. They called it an acceptable variations per industry standards.
Instead of resolving their mistake, Comfy Beds attempted to impose unlawful return fees and restocking charges, despite UK consumer law clearly stating that no deductions can be made when the retailer delivers the wrong item. Their refund calculation was not only incorrect, it was blatantly non‑compliant.
Communication was dismissive, and unhelpful throughout.
To make matters worse, they sent a single delivery person to collect two super king‑size beds. He struggled, placed the beds on the floor while loading the van, and likely caused damage — all because Comfy Beds couldn’t even organise a safe, properly staffed collection. This was just one more example in a long list of incompetencies.
Wrong colours, wrong deliveries, unlawful charges, poor communication, and unsafe collection practices. I’ve now had to escalate the matter to my bank for a chargeback because Comfy Beds simply refuses to take responsibility for their own errors.
I strongly recommend avoiding this company. They will waste your time, ignore clear evidence, and leave you dealing with the consequences of their mistakes.
Edit:
In their response, I’m glad Comfybeds have finally acknowledged that the colour of the first bed was not what we ordered — this is the first time they’ve admitted any inaccuracy with the colour.It also turns out the second colour was exactly the same as the first. Sending the wrong colour twice does not somehow make it correct.
Shame I can’t post pictures on company reviews — it would be far easier to let the public judge the colour difference for themselves.

Following your concerns regarding the colour, we arranged and supplied a complete replacement bed. The replacement matched the product you had originally ordered. After receiving the replacement, you then decided that you wished to return the product instead.
As this was a return following the supply of the correct item, we advised that the return would be subject to our published Returns Policy, which includes a 50% restocking fee. This policy is clearly displayed on our website prior to purchase and forms part of our terms and conditions.
We appreciate that this was not the resolution you were hoping for, and we’re sorry for your disappointment. We always aim to resolve issues fairly and in line with our policies while providing the best possible service to our customers.

Buyer beware. Shocking customer service.
They couldn’t even deliver fabric samples so beware of this company. Their attitude towards me as a potential customer was the worst I have experienced in years. They said I had to pay for further samples as they had posted them once. Never received nor updated on the Royal Mail tracking system. They even told me to order from someone else. I was polite and professional but got such resistance to look after a potential customer, I had already made up my mind to go elsewhere.
There have been a number of negative reviews recently and I am now wondering if this is a scam company with scam reviews.
Buyer beware.

We’re sorry to hear you feel this way. To clarify, we offer up to 8 free fabric samples as part of our service. From the start, multiple additional sample pack orders were placed, and the extra orders were cancelled as this goes against our sample policy.
Your original sample order was dispatched with tracking, however it appears there may have been an issue with Royal Mail delivery which was outside of our control.
Unfortunately, we were unable to resend further free sample packs, and we’re sorry this was not the outcome you were hoping for. We also want to make clear that Comfybedss is a genuine UK business and the reviews left by customers are based on their own experiences.

Do not buy from this company
Do not buy from this company. The bed frame was delivered to the room as promised, however the delivery guys do not unwrap the bed frame but make you sign that you are happy with the product.
Once unwrapped I noticed scuff marks and tears in the fabric. This is not something you expect from a new bed frame.
I contacted the company with pictures and was told that all they can do is offer a 10% refund. They do not offer replacements for their poor quality of their product and if you want to return it it costs more then the original price.
Really disappointed and would advise others to avoid using this company if you would like to receive a brand new bed that looks like a second hand used bed.
These guys do not stick to the policies stated on their website which says “What Should I Do If An Item Arrives Faulty?
If your Item arrives faulty, please contact our Customer Service team within 48 hours of Delivery. We may ask for photos or a brief description to help us resolve the issue quickly. A replacement or repair will then be arranged in line with your Warranty or Guarantee.”

Delayed delivery, wrong mattresses, still unresolved
Delayed delivery, wrong order and poor responsiveness and resolution.
Ordered zip and link beds and bases on 23rd May, based on quick delivery quoted on website. Unfortunately delivery didn’t happen until 11th June…..we arranged for someone to be in at allocated time but driver didn’t appear - only arrived 4 hours later at 9pm. These things happen.
The delivery was wrong, mattresses are 2.5 feet but bases are 3ft…..
I informed comfybedss who then asked for more photos with a tape measure. Emailed these. Only then was asked to resubmit with a different form…. Did that and received a holding response on 16th June to tell me I would hear in 72 hours. It’s now 23rd of June and no response.
I even offered to buy more mattresses to fit the bases but no personal attempts to discuss it resolve this.
I’m hoping someone senior from COMFYBEDSS sees this post and can call me to resolve quickly.

I was disappointed with the lead time for delivery. The website suggests delivery will be in 8 days, but in fact it was 3 weeks. There was also a lack of communication regarding delivery.
