Went here on 2nd may 2026. Met some of my favourite actors ever. The staff were amazing and helpful. Although the prices were a bit overpriced it was definitely worth it . Thank you

Great event just needed a little more organisation
A truly magnificent event for which one day did not seem like enough because of so much on offer not just with the guests and panels but with cosplay gaming and merch!
We had a blast meeting all the four hobbits and J and Silent Bob as well as talking to fellow geeks in the queues and sharing con experiences. Everyone under the roof for the same reason and making memories
I couldn't rate 5 stars because of the organisation with the time slots for autographs and photos. Clearly too overbooked and too little time for the guests to finish autographs so the time slots ended up meaning nothing after queueing for awhile to be turned away and come back another time having a knock on effect and upsetting alot of people

Good event, but be prepared to queue
Big venue and layout, which was both a blessing and a curse in that it was nice and spacious, however negotiating it in a hurry could be tricky.
I would say the autograph queue system could do with a little review. Pre-booked slots were mixed with people who turned up on the day, which caused large queues and, consequently, carnage.
A suggestion from another long-standing comic con I have attended would be a ticket/number system for those who turn up on the day, and then only allow say tickets 1-50 for a period of time, then 1-100 and increase this as the day goes on. Those who have pre-booked time slots would only be allowed to enter the queue from their allotted time onwards. This might not be a perfect system and may require refinement, but could make things more manageable for staff in some way (as they came in for a lot of abuse from some, which was sad).
All in all though a very good event- lots to do, good guests and a decent venue and location.
Also a classy touch for the LOTR guests to do a little tribute for Bernard Hill during their panel.

Great photo ops and stage performers
Great photo ops and stage performers. Costumes around were amazing.
Queue management needs a lot of improvement. My wife only managed to get her 4 autographs because I queued for her in 1 line while she was in another. 6hrs of queueing over the day, being turned away from the front and unable to see the rest of the con. Then constantly being pushed back by diamond passes. 20min sessions only seemed to get 10 people through as they were letting people buy extras at the desks. Gotta be pre-paid 1st and have to re-queue if you want extras. (Autographs are charged for and number of tickets sold to ensure the event makes money.....any on the day purchases should be bonuses and not get in the way of prepaid customers...but......greed)
Plus the website said info about selfies would be at the end of the queues, but this was not the case for Red Dwarf.
Card machines and ticking people off paper sheets really slowed down lines.
Cash only might help speed this up.

Unreal
I have been to a few comic cons but Liverpool 2024 was the first one I attended ran by Monopoly.
The decision to get a ticket came when Kevin Smith was announced, a cult hero and could not miss the opportunity to meet someone I regarded so highly.
When I arrived I was so impressive by the sheer size of the event and how much effort the staff and organisers had put into the event, there was truly something for everyone, there was a lot of photo opportunities for sets props and people in costumes that they didn’t charge people for meaning that even people attending on a budget could enjoy themselves with the price of their admission.
From my perspective the event was run well, obviously when an event happens their are dynamic changes that have to be addressed on the day that can effect peoples schedules - unavoidable and didn’t affect the experience.
There were some problems with egress with exiting the convention centre with only one escalator out. Eventually the staff responded by opening a fire door to ease the pressure. In terms of feedback this can be fixed next time by possibly opening up arena doors and more stairs to exit from. I imagine these kinks can be reviewed in any event debrief to improve on for next time.
Thank you to Monopoly events for providing an amazing event in the city, I really appreciate what you have done and will certainly be attending your events in this city (and possibly others) in the future. You’ve certainly set the bar, just have to maintain it.

It Needs To Be Made Better
The atmosphere was good, but that's about where the positives end.
The lack of food options and refusal to allow people to take their own food was one of the biggest issues, as someone with health problems I had no choice but to starve for the entire day. The people I was with who will eat pretty much anything were also majorly disappointed with the minimal options. Either learn to cater for everyone or let people take their own food, no matter what that food may be.
Waiting in line for a guest (Craig Charles to be specific) was chaotic, priority and standard ticket holders merged into one queue and people waiting for 2 different guests (the other being Costas Mandylor) also ended up all in the same line. Staff didn't have a clue what was going on.
It was far too crowded, the event was advertised as being bigger but that doesn't necessarily mean it'll be better.
I'd like to go to the next one but these issues need to be fixed first, I would need assurance that myself and the people I'm with will enjoy the day without having to fight our way through huge crowds or spend half the day looking for food that doesn't exist or is barely edible.

The worst convention experience …
The worst convention experience I have ever had had, booked time slots meant nothing, they just let anyone in, nobody checked anything. We were forced to keep trying different time slots with no success. Several of them also clashed and were in different buildings. They told us unbranded bottled water was okay, nope... they still took it off us with nowhere labelled to fill up a bottle. Only one member of staff wasn't rude, we had driven 6 hours to be in queues for the entire day, we didn't even get to explore due to the time slot issues. I'm sorry but this has put a VERY bad taste in my mouth about attending any Monopoly event in the future, truly awful.
Poor Organisation in general
Love Comic Con in general. Hate Monopoly and their lack of organisation. Never runs smoothly or as per the schedule, which ends up being stressful. Some of the staff on the day are really helpful, others couldn't care less. Someone needs to set up a rival convention company and show Monopoly how to do it right! It's not all about fleecing the 'fans' for as much money as possible! The people doing consignments for others are an absolute joke as well. That needs to be handled better as it massively impacts the rest of us trying to get a single autograph for ourselves!
Very poor for disabled people
Not great for disabled people! The guests were meant to come down at 9.30 for autographs. They didn't turn up until 10.10. The venue was very very crowded and very hot. There were no clear signs about how to exit the venue when we were finished and we ended up walking round and round trying the get out. By this time I was aching all over. No disability fast track tickets were available when I booked for the con in February so we had to queue which was near impossible. Absolutely appalling time was had at comic con Liverpool. Plus side the guests I managed to meet were absolutely fantastic and so nice. Thanks Shadowhunters!!
Also on a side note the King's Dock car park was absolutely awful. NO clear signs that's the ramp is for going up and down levels. Everyone coming up was driving up the middle of the ramp and I couldn't get down. I was being shouted at by several drivers saying I was going the wrong way when in fact I was not. I was going the correct way. Please improve the car park and venues for next time.

I’ve been to Liverpool comic con a handful of times and it is a great day however very badly organised. Some of the staff were really rude, lots of delays in meeting the guests I’d pay a lot of money to meet. Please can you review the ‘time slots’ you put up as most of these were not stuck to at all and it made the day disappointing due to lack of organisation. I waited in the queue to meet a guest, they came out 20 minutes late and had to leave shortly after to go to a photo session meaning I had to wait another hour for them to come back, poorly organised
When’s the next one ?
Loved it .. carnt wait for next one , it would be nice that if we wanted a autograph pay on day the sign posts at the queing areas would say if the celb would sign after the pre booked,

Not Inclusive/Accessible
I loved the event and everything, but as a disabled patron i was shocked to find the staff turning certain disabled patrons, myself included, from the doors and making us walk around to the other exits when they could clearly see that I had a walking aid and that I was in agony.

Amazing guest line up but so…
Amazing guest line up but so disorganised. People lost auto/photo tickets despite already buying them prior to the event, no priority for those who pre-bought and queuing with those who are paying on the day. Spent 9 hours across three queues and by the time I got out of the queues it was too late to look around so I literally spent money to queue all day. Too many people allowed in at once, it was impossible to move anywhere on Saturday. Rude staff telling people to plan their day better even tho time slots weren’t adhered to and that’s what pushed everything back. Had poor guests taking ten minute breaks instead of an hour to make up for Monopoly’s overselling of tickets and lack of organisation. Very let down.
The best comic con in UK
The best comic con in UK! As title says, it is the best comic con in UK. We have been in Saturday at 9am, absolutely no queues to get inside the venue, as there were 10+ checkpoints to get through. Amazing props, lots of good vendors. 5/5, will come back.

1st time at con
1st time at con: Overall good.
Liked the effort on costumes people wore, great chatting to people and stall holders who were mostly friendly.
Did not like some of the logistics and organizing. No emails sent out about paid Q&a and then finding sold out. The tickets cost enough, Im used to it being inclusive. Having to walk around 2 buildings back to rooms for the next panel is insane. Bad design and...
There was only one place to hear and see video of Q&A that you could actually hear it and even then they did not have it turned up til towards the end LOR.
Not enough comics...especially silver age.Not everyone is 10, us babyboomers dont care for the post 80s art.
Best part was the conversations, but the nember of stall holders and what they were selling, disappointing. Been to better.

I go to comic cons a lot and I plan very well for these things but due to a death in my family, it now meant it had to leave early to catch a flight home. This obviously messed up my schedule and I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to get the autographs I had pre booked. I explained my situation to the staff and they were BEYOND helpful and understanding. I tried to not inconvenience anyone too much of course but by Sunday midday I managed to get all my autographs sorted with the help of Katie and Kevin, there were some other wonderful ladies at the autograph tables who were so understanding and helpful, you simply can’t fault the staff. I also want to thank Georgina who was a big help during one of my photo ops. You guys have all simply been great. Thank you so much for a great weekend considering the circumstances

Wasn't allowed to queue with my daughter for her photo. Was told only 1 parent allowed and I was made to stand outside.
As a family, we'd been looking forward to this event for months. Waiting in line for the anticipated photo and sharing the excitement is part of the experience.
This was robbed from us.
I could understand if it was busy, but it wasn't. We didn't have to do this the last time we came and there was no mention of this at all when we paid for the photo.
We spent a LOT of time saving up to attend this event and this this was our family holiday for the year.
Really, really upset & disappointed. Months of anticipation and excitement was instantly taken away from us and it ruined the whole day.
Liverpool Comic Con Fan
We have been to every Comic con Since lock down as my daughters love meeting their favourite actors from tv and film. The props are always fantastic to see and we love the panels and enjoy looking round the stalls later in the day when it’s quieter. I have seen the whole set up improve each event and you can clearly see that they have taken note of any issues that arise during the event and make improvements for the next one, so can not fault monopoly events for what they do. The staff and volunteers have always been friendly and happy to help . It is a very busy event and you do have to walk and stand around constantly waiting in ques, but we go knowing this and plan our days/ weekends to fit everything in as it’s always worth it. Last spring event My daughter had to attend in a wheelchair due to a leg injury. I worried about how we could do the event but had to try as she really wanted to meet TVD cast. Anyway staff were fantastic throughout the day and once we worked out how to navigate around using lifts we had no issues. We always have an amazing time and we can’t wait for the next one.
