Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 286 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers reported significant issues with delivery services, including parcels being misdirected, delayed, or not arriving at all, often with tracking information that was inaccurate or unhelpful. Reviewers frequently expressed dissatisfaction with customer service, describing it as unhelpful, difficult to reach, and unwilling to take accountability for problems. There were also numerous complaints about staff conduct, particularly regarding delivery attempts and parcel handling. Conversely, a small portion of people felt satisfied with the service, citing reliable deliveries, helpful staff at local post offices, and positive experiences with international parcels. Some customers highlighted specific instances of excellent service, particularly from individual staff members who went above and beyond to assist them.

LPO staff member continues to refused service due to ethnic background

LPO staff member continues to refused service, Performance and Review Assessment training.
Unfortunately the only staff that works at local post, appears to be refusing service continuously since early March 2026.
When asked she simply replied "weve run out of paper label stickers " .
01/06/2026 - Staff claimed printer is fixed, however needs paper label.
29/05/2026- Staff said it's the printer label that is broken.
26/05/3026-- staff claimed paper label jas jist run out, she then said she was contacted Aus Post over the phone twice already. TBA on availability.
Whole month of February 2026 -
3 weeks no label for printer,
March 2026 - I was advised no printing label on sites due to move.

Their automated voice message takes 3 minutes just to get to the option to talk to someone and when they call me back, they make me wait!!! Literally a timewaster and they just couldnt give less damn about their customers

Delivery not attempted or declined - a lie.

Tracking saying parcel will arrive today - a couple of hours later - I am sitting in my front room with a view of my front verandah and pathway - receive a message from Australia Post - "receiver declined delivery" we were unable to deliver your package - no card left - no photo - and no attempted delivery at time stated - have security cameras - why lie ?

Outdated system costs businesses their discount tiers

Review Title: Outdated system costs businesses their discount tiersAustralia Post has a frustrating flaw in its retail system. If you pay for shipping at the counter and forget to scan your MyPost Business account, you cannot add the sale afterward. Even if you have the physical receipt, customer service cannot link it.Because of this rigid system, businesses miss out on the accumulated spend needed to reach higher discount tiers. In 2026, not having a simple digital tool to claim a missed transaction with a receipt barcode is ridiculous. Fix this system so small businesses don’t lose money over a simple human mistake.
It is time for change and get with the times…

My parcel is missing

My parcel is missing. Was supposed to be delivered By the 27th Of May. Then delivery date changed to the 1 of June. Still hasn't arrived.
I have tracked it from north Qld through Brisbane and surrounds, to Sydney and surrounds, back to Brisbane, back to Sydney and now it is stuck in Sydney. No further tracking. Have lodge an investigation and Au Post is not actioning that until after the 16th of June. another 2 weeks. This is crazy. I can get parcels quicker from the USA. I am very annoyed and will try to use a different delivery service in the future. Western Sydney sorting facility is supposed to be state of the art, yet it can't find my parcel.

Australia Post's parcel tracking system sucks…

Australia Post's parcel tracking system is completely and utterly useless. We have a lot of online purchases delivered, several monthly. Without fail, when you hit the tracking link it will tell you nothing you can make sense of. And they provide vague statements about delivery times. We've tried adding instructions on where to leave parcels safely and nothing serms to get actioned. Meanwhile, DHL has an excellent, clear, accurate and simple to use tracking app. I have way more faith in knowing where my DHL-delivered parcel from Outer Mongolia is than one Aus Post is shipping from Perth to Fremantle. Seriously?

Absolutely rude & no friendly customer…

Absolutely rude & no friendly customer service at the Unley Post office.
If you don’t like your job & serving customers, no one is forcing you to work there!
Collected large parcels this afternoon ( that were authorised to leave at my home but weren’t as per authority in black n white on the label) but it was a burden for the lady to walk out the back, put my boxes on a trolley & wheel them out. Lots of huffing & puffing from her. Then the gentleman that came out from the back, certainly didn’t like that my boxes were on his precious trolley & said to me “ you can’t take the trolley “.
Just terrible the way they spoke to me.

For delivering local and interstate parcels

For delivering international parcels I give them 5 stars. For local deliveries, 1 star (absolutely hopeless) I can get parcels faster from the USA than I can from interstate or even here in Vic. One could probably crawl on one's hands and knees to pick up a parcel. Not only that, they are getting progessively worse. (Withdraw the digit please)

Never open when you need them to be.

Open only when everyone else is working and can't pick up their mail, or so early in the morning that everyone is too busy getting ready for work. Their opening hours make it IMPOSSIBLE to collect your mail.

In all my years & have never had any problems with Aust Post & have sent & received many overseas items . This was not their fault Thank You

Lying driver claims attempted delivery to our office...

Driver claims attempted delivery to our office. I was sitting at front window & working since 1pm. Driver claims he came and attempted delivery at 2:30pm. In any case there is a front door buzzer - guess what, no buzzer gone off this afternoon. No Aust Post van anywhere near our office. Summary = Driver lied. Inconvenient for him.

Registered Letter WA to WA Via Dandenong Victoria

Joining the queue of people who have received an abysmal service from this corporation.
Registered letter containing important documents sent 15th April still transiting the country 4 weeks later.
The lies that have come from Australia post after I lodged a complaint are piling up daily.
I have requested a return to sender and they had the tenacity to tell me I'll have to pay $29 extra for their incompetence.
My belief the letter is lost and they will not admit that fact.

Security equipment sent to us Thursday…

Security equipment sent to us Thursday 7 days ago. Tracking says it was in Brisbane Friday 6 days ago, Australia Post chat bot doesn't allow you to talk to a human, raised a complaint they wont investigate until another week. So apparently 14 days is normal to travel 90 minutes? Brisbane to Noosa? I could have walked it by then.

PO Box Renewal Fee

My PO box renewal got buried and I received a reminder in my PO Box. I went to pay and was told I had to pay a "reconnection" fee. Why? Just another rip off so I cancelled my mail box

Very poor service for mail.

I would give half a star if it was an option. Delayed mail. No ability to chase via customer service line, just send me in circles. Staff at the post-office stated "surface mail had low priority", hence the delay.
I'm waiting for a new Mastercard that was received at Strathfield NSW mail centre at 05:54 on the 4th May. Arrived Northgate Qld on 5th 22:24. It's now the 10th evening and it's still in Northgate!!

This is THE WORST mailing company EVER!

This is THE WORST mailing company in the WORLD. If I could choose any other company other than Australia post or startrak I would because they are a useless bunch of idiots! I've worked in warehousing and pick pack before and I've never seen a company screw up as much as them!!
