Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 286 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers reported significant issues with delivery services, including parcels being misdirected, delayed, or not arriving at all, often with tracking information that was inaccurate or unhelpful. Reviewers frequently expressed dissatisfaction with customer service, describing it as unhelpful, difficult to reach, and unwilling to take accountability for problems. There were also numerous complaints about staff conduct, particularly regarding delivery attempts and parcel handling. Conversely, a small portion of people felt satisfied with the service, citing reliable deliveries, helpful staff at local post offices, and positive experiences with international parcels. Some customers highlighted specific instances of excellent service, particularly from individual staff members who went above and beyond to assist them.

How useless

How useless, these people know blueys collectibles will get a lot of traffic on their website when released and the website has gone down. Only useless would not have had the website prepared for this. Unbelievable.

I live in Alkimos WA 6038

I live in Alkimos WA 6038, and there is currently no Australia Post office within a 10 km radius. Australia Post relies on StarTrack to deliver parcels in this area. However, when delivery is unsuccessful, parcels are taken to a StarTrack depot in Yanchep, approximately 10 km away.
The only option provided is to collect the parcel from this depot, which is located in an industrial area that is difficult to access and not easy to find. Additionally, the collection hours are extremely limited, typically between 5:30 am and 8:30 am, which is not practical for most people.
This situation makes it very difficult for residents in this area to send or collect parcels. The reliance on StarTrack without adequate local Australia Post facilities is not an effective solution.
When I contacted Australia Post to report this issue, I was advised to contact StarTrack directly. I find this concerning, as I paid Australia Post for the service, not StarTrack. From a customer’s perspective, Australia Post should remain responsible for the service provided, regardless of any subcontracting arrangements.
I would also like clarification on responsibility in such cases. If an issue occurs with the parcel, is it handled by Australia Post or StarTrack?
I believe this matter requires review, particularly the lack of accessible postal services in Alkimos 6038 and surrounding areas.

I have had 4 missing packages

I have had 4 missing packages. 2 are lost in transit one didn't match tracking number and the latest the delivery driver took picture of leaving the package in a safe place, the picture of safe place was left near the letterbox on the ground on the footpath. Hence it was stolen. All the above I have lost both packages and money with no compensation

I use my Australia Post app like most…

I use my Australia Post app like most people to track my parcels. A few months ago somebody's parcels showed up on my app. I live in Singleton NSW and these deliveries go to Hobart in Tasmania. There is no sender details and no recipient details. I have contacted Aus Post several times asking them to contact who ever they need to to get these parcels removed from my app. All I get back is "contact the sender " I mean WTF I don't have access to that information because if I did I would have already done so. They are absolutely useless in helping me solve this issue. Yes I can delete it off my app but with my husband's bad memory he doesn't know if it is his parcel or not. And secondly why should I have to. I may have to do away with the app as it's driving me mad and Aus Post doesn't want to help!!

Rude courier must hate his job.

Around 8.15 am today a Parcel Post courier delivered a parcel at my daughter's place where I am staying on a visit from the UK. Getting dressed I got to the door pretty quickly. But apparently not quickly enough for this joker who, in the few words he uttered, proceeded to do nothing but complain. (Apparently he got tired of waitin'). No hello. No goodbye. He was so rude it was almost funny. The only thing I can think is that laughing boy just hates his job.

Postal charges for normal mail increased but service not always trustworthy

I posted some Easter Cards to my son with some scratchies in and grandchildren small amount of money and over a month later still not received and probably lost or stolen in transit. My son has a locked letterbox The cost of postage has increased for normal mail but not guaranteed sadly . The moral of the story is that you need to pay more for tracking to safeguard your mail

Parcel posted 9th April

Parcel posted 9th April. Three weeks later still waiting for its arrival when a timeframe of 6-7 days was given.
Very little information forthcoming from Aust Post.
Back to shopping in person for me after this extremely disappointing experience.

My package containing glass was thrown over our fence which is almost 3m high into an unsafe area, this caused it to become damaged by being run over. Delivery driver was clearly careless and chose to throw the package rather then place it in a safe area.

Spent $100 posting a gift to the USA on…

Spent $100 posting a gift to the USA on the 10th April. Parcel should of arrived between 5-9 days. The tracking shows the parcel left sunshine coast next day for Brisbane and then sat in Brisbane for 14 days. It now shows day 15 it has finally been transferred for a flight. Who knows when it will actually get to its destination. But definitely not within the 9 days and way too late now for the birthday surprise gift I had planned.
How can a company get away with charging for a service that is not provided in the timeframe they quote. Especially when that timeframe is written on their website. Any other company would have fair trading on their case with a please explain.

They will turn you into a Karen when trying to get answers. Absolute classic today. Was reading my senders inquiry with his headset on then said he can not access the inquiry. I called Patrick a lier & was hung up on. Ombudsman will appreciate your patience. Don’t waste your time, unless you like narcissistic responses with no accountability.

Delivered to the wrong address…. whoops

Delivered my medication to the wrong address and then said there is nothing they could do nothing about it. Delivery drivers that literally can’t read the letters and numbers and “support” staff that just try to fob you off. These guys are next level incompetent.

The delivery system isn't working

The delivery system is a huge problem. Even after I told the driver over the intercom, just leave it downstairs, he said, "I can't do that." [update: this is even though my instructions to couriers are printed on the label, and even though the label has "AUTHORITY TO LEAVE" from the sender, so BOTH parties have given the same instructions.] I have filed a complaint with Australia Post and they basically just said "oh sorry" and that they will take it up with the manager of the driver. However, the driver still told me his manager said, you can't leave packages at that address, while the complaints system says it is up to the driver.

The worst delivery service

The worst delivery service in Australia. I received a notification that my parcel would be delivered today, without any time range (as other delivery services provide), which has forced me to stay at home all day, waiting for the parcel. It is now 4pm and I have yet to receive my parcel, which according to them, is scheduled to be delivered 'today'. I urge merchants to avoid AP where possible, and choose other delivery services.
