Poor customer service - stressful experience
Pick up from the airport was very positive - friendly, responsive driver who was in contact with us for 24 hours prior to landing and remained in contact during passport control and baggage collection. However, our return journey (booked at the same time as the pick up) was a completely different experience. Again, our driver got in contact with us (around 15 hours before the pick up time), however, became completely unresponsive from then on. We were not able to contact him despite numerous calls and messages. He then did not show up. I called the company helpline and was told that the driver could no longer collect us due to a breakdown. Neither the driver nor Connecto informed us of the same and instead waited for me to call (around 15 minutes after driver was due to pick us up). The agent on the phone simply said there was nothing she could do and that we would have to arrange alternative transport with another local company. She did not apologise. This was 2.5 hours prior to our flight - including a 1h15 drive from the airport. An incredibly disappointing and stressful approach to customer service - this company appears to have no contingency plan whatsoever in case of issues.

They steal the tip!
Our driver was excellent but I learned that they don't get the tip we are asked to pay when booking. I aked hem specifically. So disappointed in Connecto to be stealing from us customers and their own drivers. He also said that when he worked for them in another country they got the tip but not in France. At least not in this part of France. The driver was ok with it, I am not. He didn't know how it is in other cities. Don't want to mention the city not to get the driver in trouble. (He was hired by Connecto)

Leaving a tip during the booking process is completely optional, and it is not presented as a payment made directly to the individual driver. Connecto works with both our own drivers and local transport partners, all of whom operate under commercial terms agreed in advance, including how gratuities are handled. These arrangements are accepted before the cooperation begins.
The gratuity is distributed across the overall service provided rather than being allocated solely to the driver. Our driver Diego went above and beyond!!
Our driver Diego went above and beyond. Due to the King of Spain visiting a venue only 100 meters away from our hotel all roads were blocked by police but he still parked up and helped us with all our luggage which took a good 10 minute walk. Brilliant service AAA +++
