I’ve just found a debit on my bank account for this company? No email to say they were renewing a policy and no authority from me to do so... I have no idea what they’ve taken the money for and I certainly don’t want anything from them. Insurance companies seem to be the worst for automatic annual renewals without referring back to the customer. This is theft and I’ll be taking this company to task - if needs be in the courts

My angst was with the automatic renewal policy employed by many companies and not just Coverwise. I’ve now spoken to their customer service dept and was impressed by the professional response from the staff. Credit where it’s due.

AVOID. They use AXA, who are terrible to deal with. They make things difficult in the hope you'll give up. Had to cancel holiday due to a death. The form sent was so difficult to understand. Hard to understand most of the call centre staff. I sent everything off, death certificate, cancellation certificate etc etc, but now they want a 15 minute phone interview with me!! I was told this is normal procedure. What other proof can they want??!! My partner claimed on his Nationwide insurance, sent the evidence and was paid straight away. Look at AXA reviews before taking out a policy.Shame because Coverwise themselves are OK and at least they reply to people's complaints

Rang to make enquires as husband has had a stroke and so possible claim to be make, spoke to someone for ages and asked a few questions, gave them my policy number , she said she would call back! still awaiting the call , dreadful customer service, i will try again tomorrow i guess?

I thought I had finally come across a reasonable travel insurance company who may actually provide you with support when needed....turns out I was wrong. This company won't consider paying for flights which involve an interconnecting flight, even if you have been put on the flight due to an original cancellation. Customer service not helpful and feel that as with most insurance companies they will happily take your money but find any excuse not to pay. Shambles. Avoid this company

All reviews for Coverwise are for buying only but honestly don't bother booking with this company. The website is great and they are friendly at buying but that's it..

I've put a claim in due to missing my flight with bad weather in December. Claim is being dealt with Axa travel based in Mauritius who only want to deal with you by email. I honestly don't see this company accepting any claims. Waste of £55 paying for Gold insurance and waste of weeks chasing for some kind of information why claim is being declined. They just want you to give up chasing them. Please see Axa travel on trust pilot before wasting your money.
