I did the forging course at hammer and hounds and loved the entire experience. Getting to do something amazing like forging and then you get to keep what you make and use it every day as a memory - it’s by far one of the best things I’ve ever done. Alex is a great guy too, I probably just could have spent the day watching him make it look incredibly easy. It’s worth every penny.

Was a good day out, very educational. He was very willing to step in and help people at the various steps knowing when to step in and when to step away. Great day, very educational.

Wonderful course. Fiona is a whirlwind of energy, determined to give us as much hands on experience as possible. Amazing to be printing so many examples of paper and making two books in one day! Highly recommended if you like to learn by doing with someone knowledgeable and extremely well prepared, so that you can get on with the doing.Also if you like going home with something special to show for your efforts!

I had a lovely class with Jo, going through the basics of making resin pendants. It was very relaxed and at a great pace for a complete beginner. Many thanks

What a lovely way to spend a morning. We had a great time making soap, ably taught by Claire and Diane. They provided such a great choice of essential oils and colours, and taught us how to make, and cut, soap loaves, as well as individual soaps. We were even provided with pretty things to wrap them in, to take home. Thoroughly recommended.

Bertie is very good at delivering the course with knowledge, enthusiasm and patience.
The course is very useful for someone like myself, looking to diy in off grid solar.
Having taken the course and with the detailed handbook to refer back to I feel confident in tackling a system that I can build and add to over time.

Louise is a fabulous teacher explained everything very clearly and I had so much fun doing botanical casting Id booked for another of her courses for next week before I'd even left this one! Loved this and would recommend to anyone wanting to get away from everything for the day and just relax ❤️ "

Did the two day basket weaving course run by Eddie Glew. He was a fantastic, helpful and facilitative teacher. The setting was great and the refreshments and meals were superb. A memorable day, highly recommended.

I attended the Stool Making course on 14/6/26 and was pleasantly surprised to find just 2 of us on the course.
It was a great day and numbers allowed a lot of 1:1 support which was fantastic!
Matt has a great teaching style that was encouraging and supportive and never condescending.
Will definitely consider doing other courses with him!
Facilities were basic but great, enough for what you need and supportive of the environment etc.
I still have quite a lot of sanding to do to finish up but the day reinvigorated my desire to get back into woodworking! Thanks.

Very enjoyable course learning about lino cutting, designing. Inking and printing. Hywel was very helpful and did a lot of translating as I was slightly nervous about letting loose with my pigeon Welsh. Lovely venue too.

"I had an amazing time making my hare with Jo yesterday. The whole day was immensely enjoyable. We were given such a warm and friendly welcome on arrival and both Jo and her husband Andy looked after us all so well, it was such a joy to be with them at their beautiful home. We all came away with a fabulous hare sculpture and am so pleased with the end result. I would highly recommend anyone to attend one of her many workshops."

Friendly tutor. Very knowledgeable, ready to help where needed, but not interfering. Very enjoyable day, so I am booking on other courses.

My dad a friend and I booked ourselves onto this course ss it was something we hadn't come across before and loved the experience. Will has over thirty years experience and it shows. He smoothly took us through all the stages, guiding us and helping us to make some beautiful pieces. Watching the patina form was fascinating. A fabulous course!

A really hands-on course which teaches you some great techniques and gives you opportunity to practice, in a relaxed and friendly environment. Jo is very knowledgeable and has tons of experience doing DIY, so has real examples to learn from. Such a relaxed class and lots of explanation about tools. There’s also a handy notes pack provided to take away. This course & Jo’s enthusiasm has given me confidence to ‘have a go’, an excellent course!

I thoroughly recommend this course with Hamza. He has so much skill and knowledge and takes you through the process of binding a book with patience and care. And you come away with a beautiful embossed bound notebook – completely from scratch. Brilliant!

A great session with plenty of hands-on experience at making a wide variety of tapas. Phil’s input was at just the right pace and his instructions were always clear and precise. The course was fun, I really enjoyed it and came home with plenty of food at the end. Highly recommended

Absolutely fantastic experience, from friendly and kind interaction to the brilliant teaching of the skills. Took 5 people with little to no skill at all and helped them make something real and tangible. Would reccomend this to anyone even remotely interested as it will be more than worth it

My husband and I did the Playing with Fire workshop a couple of days ago. We had great fun and loved everything we did and learnt!
We made a lovely moon phases hanging window decoration for our motorhome.
Helga's a great teacher and made the experience really enjoyable.

Had a wonderful afternoon with Carol at La Jade Jewellery Academy and made a fabulous spinner ring. She is very friendly and a great teacher, really enjoyed learning the techniques and making a very beautiful ring that I am really proud of! Thank you Carol!

Excellent craft day with ample time to create several pieces. You don't just apply glaze to a few pots - you get hands-on experience of every stage of the raku process (whilst wearing fire-proof gloves!). With relaxed, informal instruction, a lovely garden setting, and lunch & cake provided, it's a great introduction to the art of Raku.
