My experience was perfect. It was really helpful and very easy to use. I would defiantly recommend to anyone

Today I noticed a deduction from my bank account for £19.99 from Credit Engine. I visited the website as I had no idea who this was, and wanted to contact them to discuss this, as I never authorised this payment, and never gave permission for them to take any future payment, and nor did I even set an account up with them. This is compounded by not having any login details, and when using the "forgot password" feature, nothing comes through no my email address. Called the 03330030082 number, and this is just a run-around to make fill in the "contact us" form.
I'm not sure how legitimate Credit Engine are, but they clearly are just out there to empty peoples accounts without authority, and then make it as hard as possible for people like myself to get this resolved and your money back off them.
Move to today (14/05/2026) and the complaints department call me regarding the review, and they were very professional and discussed how I was signed up etc, but ultimately sent me a full refund - to which I was grateful. I've updated the review to 4 starts, as when this initially happened it's quite hard to get a response, until I posted on here.

This company took an unauthorized £19.99 from my account today using card details they kept from over a year ago. When I complained, they tried to avoid a refund by telling me to "call the police," even though it is clearly their own billing error.
They are stalling for time and refusing to provide written confirmation of a refund. I am now escalating this to my bank for a chargeback and reporting them to the Financial Ombudsman. Predatory practices—stay away!
I'll keep update if they could solve my issue
Said I was getting a loan then never sent the money

Helpful but it wasn't easy to cancel.

Terrible service, preapproved for £300 loan if i agree to £19.99 per month. Then once they have all my details the approval is lost and when you reapply it was for a minimum of £1000, scam

They don't tell you, you're signing up to a subscription service. You don't even get an email because they want to be sneaky about it.
You just get a bank charge and you start to wonder were it came from.
They also make deleting your account not so obvious

Quick set up and easy to access portal, but found confusing when applying for a loan application not saved on my account which has been approved in principle, so had to reapply and was then denied a loan - so unsure of process other than to initiate creating an account with false loan approval decision
