I was scammed by this company when I was underage just wanting to get a job, and after reading many similar reviews, it’s clear they have a disturbing pattern of targeting minors. They offer a CV service with hidden charges and then threaten legal action if you don’t pay, even though no card info was given upfront.
They use intimidation tactics to scare young people into paying fees that aren’t clearly explained, including cancellation fees. This practice is unethical and unfair, especially towards vulnerable teens who might not fully understand what they’re signing up for.
If you’re a parent or teenager, please stay far away from this company. Their shady tactics and aggressive threats are well documented by many victims. I hope this review helps warn others so they don’t fall into the same trap.

This message is intended for anyone considering using the CVneed service.
The website is considered a phishing operation. Their service is marketed as the ability to create a CV for free, but in reality, all the information you enter during the CV creation process is collected as personal data. This collected information is then used to try to get the person to pay for a subscription to which they are not legally obligated. The coercion is directed at the person assumed to have created the CV.
The actual coercion occurs through sending invoices, which is the core of the phishing activity. You are not legally required to pay because you have neither signed any contract nor provided credit card information. The company claims they have the right to demand payment because the user accepted their terms and their IP address was recorded, but this is insufficient as legally binding proof of who actually accepted the terms. Their claim is therefore based on assumptions and the hope that the recipient will pay despite lacking legal grounds.
To confirm the dishonest and fraudulent nature of their operation, we ourselves created fictitious profiles with false information and email addresses to simulate real users. Despite these individuals not existing, CVneed sent invoices to them and threatened with debt collection and legal enforcement, which clearly demonstrates poor control and unprofessional business practices.
Minors have also been affected, as they created CVs believing the service was free. Subsequently, invoices were sent with the argument that the user accepted the terms and declared themselves of legal age. However, this is not consistent with how a legitimate service should operate, since identity verification should occur before binding agreements are made. When this was pointed out to CVneed, they requested the child’s personal identification documents, which violates privacy laws and GDPR, constituting a serious breach of data protection.
The operation is said to be based in the Netherlands, but attempts to trace IP addresses point to distributed and encrypted servers in various parts of the world. This suggests the source is concealed to avoid accountability.
Finally, CVneed has already been reported to law enforcement by many users in several countries. Despite this, authorities have had difficulty acting because the operation is conducted internationally. CVneed is currently flagged as a high-risk entity and is regarded as engaging in fraudulent and unprofessional business practices.
Recommendation: We strongly advise against using CVneed and urge great caution when sharing personal information online.

CVNeed stealing personal data from uploaded CVs and harassing by sending bills at the address given in CV. On contacting they promised to put me in touch with their data protection officer to file a complaint to European Data Protection Agency but they are shameless bunch of people giving a fraud response everytime. Such a shame that they get away with such a fraud in Netherlands.

My 16yr old ASD son was scammed by this 'so-called company'.
He found them online offering a FREE CV build in June, trying to find himself a little Part-time job before College in Sept.
He did not enter any Card details or Download the CV, yet they somehow accessed his account.
They have taken out two amounts of £12.78 from his bank account. They have clearly, illegally compromised GDPR.
This company is using people's details without consent.
We have contacted the Bank, who have put it down as a Dispute to the charges, and have blocked this company and any associated, from taking any more out.
CV NEED- You should be utterly ashamed of yourselves for targeting innocent, vulnerable people.
You will not be getting a penny more from my Son, and any Emails or Letters received will be happily reported / blocked / burnt.

Scam site with hidden charges!
CVNeed is a fraudulent website. It tricks you into building a CV for free, but once you're done, it suddenly demands a subscription fee to download it. There’s no clear pricing upfront, and they charge you for a recurring subscription without proper notice. Total bait-and-switch!
Avoid this site – there are plenty of legit and free CV builders out there. CVNeed is just trying to steal your money.

Scam Alert: I have never used the CVneed website, yet I keep receiving unpaid invoices. They have even sent me letters for three months in a row, despite the fact that I never made a first payment or subscribed to anything. I continue to receive these messages even though I never registered on their platform. I am reporting this as a scam and show your all negative review, as they keep threatening me without any valid reason.

SCAM
A year ago I got an e-mail from cv need with the saying that I was subscribed and needed to pay 30 euro and If I don't pay there where going to be extra charges
I didn't pay, I contacted them they and didn't hear anything
A few days later was there a extra charge of 15 euro with the 30 that I needed to pay.
I contacted them again and they said I needed to pay, I searched a few things up and I was in my right.
You need to get at least a mail that you subscription is going to start, and You must clearly indicate that you want a subscription.
I heard nothing from that mail, and yesterday(again, a year later I need to pay more than 70 euro).
What is this, it is clearly a scam!
Reaction on cv need answer:
They just send a mail With a change in amount suddenly it is 30 euro now. This just proves that this is a scam, do not pay!

My 15 year old daughter has just received a demand letter stating she didn't pay £29.45 for a CV writing service, and that £40 fees have been added for non payments. This is a scam, she has subscribed to nothing!, and will be paying nothing!.. DO NOT USE this company they are praying on children and using bullying tactics to try to get money out of people.
**UPDATE.. I've received your reply and find it very strange that you can't find her details but can send her threatening letters?! We will NOT be contacting you so that you can bombard her with threatening emails.. as far as we are concerned this matter is over, WE WILL NOT BE PAYING YOU A PENNY!

I’m only 16 years old, and I honestly feel overwhelmed and completely out of my depth. Cvneed is saying I signed a contract with them in may, but I never received any emails or communication from them until June — that was the first time I even became aware of their existence. There was no confirmation, no information, nothing to explain what I was supposedly agreeing to.
Now, all of a sudden, they’re demanding money for something I didn’t even know I was involved in. I never saw a contract, and I was never clearly told what I was signing up for. On top of that, I’ve started receiving threatening letters at my home, warning that debt collectors and collection agencies will get involved if I don’t pay.
This has caused me so much stress and anxiety. I don’t have the life experience to handle a situation like this, and it feels completely unfair to be treated like an adult when I didn’t understand what was happening in the first place. I’ve tried reaching out and explaining, but they just keep sending the same responses and putting all the blame on me.
I just want people to see how much this has affected me. It’s been a really upsetting experience, and no one my age should be left to deal with something like this on their own

Keep trying to take money from a child’s account. My 14 year old had no idea she had signed up for a subscription and they keep trying to money out of her account. Managed to get £10 but have said to cancel the subscription she needs to pay the remaining £90! She is a minor. You are a horrible, robbing firm.
** Update - now been in touch and have cancelled the subscription and refunded my daughter the amounts they had taken. Thanks for the good communication to resolve the issue
