Appalling communication and service

Appalling communication and service. Quoted a delivery time of 10-15 days, the bike arrived in 30. When it finally arrived it was completely the wrong model. Now waiting for CR to take the bike back for a refund. Contacted Halfords, they didn't want to know. If a company is going to sell products online during these difficult times, the least they can do is provide enough staff to be able to service customers. These current times are absolutely NO excuse for utterly bad service.

Couldn’t be happier

Couldn’t be happier. I ordered my Boardman bike on 14th May and it has just been delivered (18th May). All put together fine, few minor adjustments required on my side but nothing to worry about. The packaging could have been a bit better but bike was undamaged.

I feel for the people who have had a bad experience with this company (likely due to them entering administration) but I have had a great experience.

Should have read the reviews. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM

Ordered and paid for a bike two weeks ago. All emails asking for an update on delivery ignored. Finally received an email today telling me that they couldn't fulfil my order and it was cancelled.

Please please buy from your local independent bike shop where you will receive great personal service - don't use these people.

Absolute waste of time.. Ordered a £900 bike on 17th Apri, paid by card. Received a email confirmation that bike would be delivered in 10 days and I would receive a follow up email with details of my delivery date.. NOTHING, still NOTHING. I have called, held on hold for over 4 hours at a time, I have emailed, reached out on social media, left messages on the call back service. This is an absolute digrace.. I will be notifying trading standards. Managed to get through to a local store where I was told they had gone into administration!! There online service is allegedly still going...

Disgraceful service

Disgraceful service. They've messed up two of my orders. Phones don't work and every email is rejected by their servers. No way to get in touch with them and no way to resolve their issues.

My bike practically fell apart on its second ride. Customer service DONT exist. Refund please on the junk you sold me. No instructions on my model of bike so really what is the point of sending any at all.

AVOID!

Placed an order on the 28th April, paid by card, received an order acknowledgement stating that I will receive a further email with delivery instructions. I've heard nothing since! Written several emails to customer services which have been ignored. I would avoid buying anything from this company.

Better than expected given the recent reviews. Bike was despatched on the 9th working day and arrived on the 11th. Some minor build issues which were easily corrected.

Delayed and lack of comms but bike arrived

Placed an order for a Saracen bike on the 20th of April and received a confirmation that the bike delivery is within 10 days. Then after 2 weeks of waiting, I started checking the reviews and got so worried. I messaged cycle republic through their contact form and took them 3 days to reply and advised that they’ll get the bike delivered within the 15days due to the current situation. Then I received another update on the 2 days later that the bike has been built and dispatched. I received the bike on Tuesday (on the 15th working day after placing the order) and all is good.

Trawled through the website looking for…

Trawled through the website looking for an in stock bike paid for it received the confirmation, patientally waited 4 weeks phoned this morning to find out where it was to be told its not in stock! Now waiting for my refund and i can purchase another bike until i have this. I do not recommend this company to anyone.

I received my Voodoo Marasa Hybrid bike…

I received my Voodoo Marasa Hybrid bike 24/04/20 and it turned up with only one pedal and no panier rack which was included in the specifications. I emailed them the next day with absolutely no response. My next step was to go through "Resolver" which is their customer support and again no response. I know we are in difficult times but i do expect a reply.
I am not happy with the customer service, they took my money quick enough, i bought it online on easter sunday and they had taken it on bank holiday monday. quick enough to do that.
One star is too much but the bike looks good but i can not use it and i am unable to fully test it so god knows what will happen if something is not right.
I have just been in contact with Halfords online chat and they are dealing with all Cycle Republic issues.

Bought 2 electric bikes from them a…

Bought 2 electric bikes from them a while ago with no issues. All of a sudden both bikes have issues that need attention. Found a phone number for customer services and spoke to a polite lady who eventually stated I would have to wait until the engineers were back as they were all furloughed. 4 weeks have passed with no more info so tried to find the number again but it now does not exist. I then find that Cycle Republic have closed down all retail stores permanently so not sure how engineers were going to check my bikes. Emailed them 4 times without so much as a confirmation of receipt email. They appear to have disappeared altogether and I am currently left with 2 heavy bikes. This is not good enough. Would never buy from these again but as far as I am concerned I am nearly £3000 out of pocket. Halfords who own the company do not want to know either. DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE.

Awful - avoid

Delivery arrived in two separate packages, with still one item missing after more than 3 weeks. No mail of apology or detail of when to expect item. No response to my mails for over 2 weeks. Terrible.

They are cousins to Halfords

They are cousins to Halfords. I got a Carrera vengeance. Not my ideal brand but had no choice in the current situation I was in, I need a bike desperately to cycle to work. The bike has done about 770 km in total since January 2020. The only thing which needed replacing was the chain. I received good customer service, honest and said you'd better bike next time due to the mileage and my riding style. They were good bike shop. Plus I was told Halfords knowledge of bicycles are not so great.

Great bike arrived on time!

I read these reviews and was worried but I found a beautiful bike with a great price so decided to give it a go. I placed the order online and received a confirmation email within minutes. I then received a dispatched email very late on working day number 7 and then a delivery email and delivery on working day number 9. The bike was poorly packaged but no damage that I have noticed. I can’t comment on the customer service lines or emails as I haven’t needed to use them but overall I’m very pleased with my experience. The assembled bike had arrived within the 10 working days as promised. I’m not a bike enthusiast so can’t tell if it’s been built perfectly hence why I’ve withheld one star but as far as I’m concerned, it’s great!

Submitted an order for new wheels over a month ago now. One email was responded to, telling me to call a phone number that doesn’t work.

I just want my money back now but no reply to any emails.
