Our Philosophy

At Daylesford, we’re dedicated to growing, producing and cooking seasonal, organic food. It must be fresh, and full of flavour, packed with the many vitamins and minerals that come from natural food, picked and eaten at its peak.

As part of a mission to reverse the industrialisation of our food and the pollution of the land that nurtures it, we practise organic, sustainable framing with far less pesticides and herbicides on our crops. We do not use artificial growth promoters and hormones on our animals, and maintain the highest welfare standards.

Above all, we believe that when people eat natural, organic food, they can taste the difference. It’s a chain of goodness that begins with healthy soil, and finishes with healthy animals and people.

Our Farmshops

From high-quality larder staples to indulgent treats for special occasions, our farmshop shelves are full with fresh seasonal fruit and vegetables from our organic Market Garden, artisan bread made by hand in our own Bakery, award-winning cheese from our Creamery and fresh organic meat from clover-rich pastures.

Our Homewares collections are made by makers who are as passionate about sustainability, quality materials and elegant design as we are to create one-of-a-kind items for your homes and gardens, from the softest linens to the signature scents of our home fragrance range.

Our Cafés

Our organic cafés are the natural showcase for what we do on the farm. Here, our chefs make our produce the star of each plate, with seasonally changing menus and daily specials highlight what’s good to eat right now.

Terrible experience at Daylesford Notting Hill.

Terrible experience at Daylesford Notting Hill. The WORST experience i have encountered in any retail, customer-focused organization. Butcher on duty refused to offer me any meat at 1915 forgetting to understand i am a regular client during the weekend. After complaining to the manager who offered to help, I simply refused and did not want to take the original plastic packaged meat. I REFUSE to set foot in this organization again. If i were Lord Bamford i would want to assess how his stores are performing in person.

For a premium brand it was shocking

For a premium brand it was shocking. The tree was delivered in a container minus its top and without any instructions/information. It was a birthday present for my sister in law who reported that the tree was damaged. She contacted Daylesford and agreed a refund. It took 2 attempts to get that right. Lesson learned, I won’t online shop with you again.

I was able to order an item and then found out it wouldn't ship to me.

I was able to order an item successfully but it wasn't until it was getting processed that I found out you don't ship from the UK store to the US. Sad because my wife was really excited about the tote bag.

I was a little disappointed that the…

I was a little disappointed that the zero waste box didn’t contain more fresh food that was at the end of its life. Obviously we signed up for the surprise. However, I wasn’t expecting Easter biscuits, sweets and eggs. Maybe we will have better luck next time.

The product was dropped off at the end…

The product was dropped off at the end of the drive without notification. It sat there for likely two hours in the heat. Quite disappointed.

Mediocre

Packaging is wonderful. Almost fully recyclable and made from natural products (apart from the cool packs).

A number of the items I ordered had a very short shelf life.
The tiffin lacked flavour. The brownie tray was also pretty standard although plenty of chunks of white chocolate helped.

Offered a small discount code for signing up to the newsletter however the discount code wasn’t able to be used (I tried a number of times on a number of different options).

Really poor

Really poor - late delivery of over a week even though I paid to secure delivery date - no apology and no refund of delivery fee and no additional product offered as gesture to make up for the late and missed delivery very poor customer service.
