Excellent customer service when a piec

I purchased a case that arrived damaged. On top of that, no notice was given that a $42 customs fee was going to hit - weeks after the item arrived. There was simply no communication about this and they added it to the product listing only after I complained. Then, they claimed it had been there all along.

There is also no useful return policy - for my damaged product, I was told that I have to:

1) Cut it in half (no, seriously - cut it in half)
2) Take a picture of it cut in half (yes, literally)
3) PAY TO SHIP IT BACK ($30+ for a $60 case)
4) HOPE they give a refund.

I filed a chargeback after their support failed to respond in their promised window, and Amex agreed it was valid. However, Decoded then came back to Amex and has been fighting them over $60 and causing nothing but headaches.

Their comms now just copy and paste the same response - it's useless and has nothing to do with your actual issue. AVOID.

I didn’t receive my phone case. The phone case was mistakenly delivered to Z. Liu’s mailbox. I rang the doorbell several times, but no one answered. My mailbox is P. Liu. I request a refund!

FedEx were a week late with the delivery not very good!

I definitely expected the phone case to be of better quality for what the price is. Shipping took a while— about two weeks until it was delivered to me. I also got hit with import duties after a month the item was delivered.. so if you’re in the US, please be mindful of that as this company is overseas.
Would I order again? Maybe if the item is on sale. But full price? Not so much. I’d save it.

Was charge an unexpected duty and tax fee above the quoted price . Very dissatisfied with the product the quality of the leather is not the same as my previous Decoded wallet phone case also when the credit card and cash are installed the magnetic catch will not keep the case closed. Again very dissatisfied and lam trying to return the product for a refund.
