I will give 0 starts if I could
I’d give zero stars if I could, they ’ve been holding our revenue from products sold on using their platform since July 2024 and never paid us a cent. Then they had the nerve to shut down our account without warning, there is absolutely no way to contact support.
Withheld our revenues for months before bankruptcy
I know this company is bankrupt and now defunct. But months before bankruptcy they refused to pay us our revenue from products sold on their MyCommerce platform even after nearly 20 years of a business relationship with them. They then shut down our web store weeks before their closure with no warning and made us waste our time involving our legal and finance departments as they knew full well they were going out of business and had no intention of ever paying us. In the 1.5 months our web store was down, we had to scramble to create a new web store with Cleverbridge while having to give our products away for free to customers needing them. Shameful acts of an unscrupulous business that screwed us over after nearly two decades of partnership. I feel bad for the employees that got laid off in the end but if they were at all complicit with this unscrupulous behavior then it doesn't reflect well on them and their values and professionality.

DO NOT BUY anything from this company. They are nothing but bullies with ZERO regard for the law. Even when you provide clear legal proof that backs your claim—and even when Lenovo itself agrees—this company blatantly ignores it and tells you to "contact the manufacturer."
The manufacturer wants to help but can’t because the order was placed through Digital River, the actual seller. Yet Digital River keeps pushing you back to the manufacturer, while Lenovo is left wondering how they’re supposed to assist when they have NO record of the purchase.
To make things worse, this company is run by people hiding behind fake Western names like "Daniel" or "Joel" while doing everything they can to reroute, deny, and frustrate customers instead of actually solving problems.

As you may know, we have been navigating a challenging period in our business for some time now. While we’ve worked diligently to consolidate our operations and strengthen our focus on our Digital and Subscription businesses, unforeseen factors have intensified the strain on our financial resources. The rapid contraction of key customers, combined with the headwinds presented by new deals with shorter payment terms and U.S. trade policies that impacted one of our largest customers, have exacerbated the pressure on our available capital. These challenges, coupled with rising operational costs, have affected our ability to sustain operations.
As the crisis has intensified very recently, Digital River GmbH and Digital River Holding GmbH were unfortunately obliged to file for insolvency today. Moreover, we also suspended services to our customers for the time being. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

This company stole my money also
This company stole my money also. They charged me for an auto-pay subscription (which I was assured was cancelled.) The amount was Two times what I had payed for nearly 10 years, when the subscription was handled by the Best Buy Geek Squad. Also was charged 11 days before the normal expiration date. They used PayPal, which I have NEVER used for recurring payments on anything. I have been battling this for over a month now. This company needs to be shut down for its business practices.
Extremely Negative !!! MyCommerce Digital River
I want to warn everyone who is considering working with MyCommerce Digital River, a company based in the USA with offices in Europe, including Germany. Since the summer of 2024, serious issues have arisen, and the situation continues to deteriorate month by month.
The company fails to pay authors their earnings, which often amount to tens of thousands of euros or dollars. Personally, they owe me around €2,000 for the past six months, but they have yet to pay me a single cent. Numerous attempts to resolve this have led nowhere — only empty promises and endless delays.
As others have already mentioned in their reviews, the company forces authors to use so-called "support portals" to communicate with their staff. However, these so-called "staff members" are most likely automated bots, not real people. Their responses are meaningless, unhelpful, and provide no resolution. The entire process is intentionally dragged out for 1–2 months, during which authors are forced to pay €1,000–€1,500 for supposed "assistance."
I have worked with this company for over 15 years, but I absolutely cannot recommend them anymore. They are rapidly heading toward bankruptcy, firing many skilled employees, and their current practices are outright theft.
MyCommerce Digital River:
- Steals money from authors.
- Fails to assist customers with even the simplest issues.
- Pretends to offer support - while charging outrageous fees for useless services.
- Completely disregards their partners and contributors.
This company can no longer be trusted. If you value your money, time, and reputation, do not registerwith them or engage in any business. They are dishonest, steal money, and are driving their operations into the ground. Save yourself the frustration and stay far away from MyCommerce Digital River.
They stole my money
I have canceled my account because of the outrageous fees and the unpaid sales proceeds. I received 2 emails on December 11th, 24 with the notification that the money would be transferred. No money received to date. I have just found out that my account has been blocked because supposedly no mail could be delivered to me. In total, these crooks stole €420 from me.

Same here - they are holding and stealing my vendor revenue. Nothing paid since July 24, sending me made up support invoices to consume what is currently owed by them, and told to wait 180 days. I'll bet the company will be dissolved by then.
Stay away
Stay away. Stay away. As a satisfied user for many years, they suddenly start taking all your proceeds, disguising it as a "platform fee" or "client support fee". I closed my account per 1 November, while they still had all my proceeds for September and October. Then, for November and December, almost 700EUR charged for no service and no support.
This is simply appalling, and someone should take them to court. As a small business, I don't have the resources.

This case is really silly, I do not understand how you can seriously ask me to cancel my claim with PayPal.
To summarize and repeat. I ordered a hardware with you for an immediate payment of 33 Euro on Nov 28. I pay and get an order confirmation, no more. Upon my support request 10 days later, you tell me you are sorry for the delay. No more. No infos, no shipment, nothing. I open my case with PayPal 14 days post order. Nothing happens. 8 days later you lie to PayPal stating the shipment has arrived, supplying fake data to PayPal making them close the case and inform me that you have delivered, which you have not. No ducking communication on your to me again, NOTHING. I reopen the case. YOU CONTACT ME AGAIN WITH NO INFORMATION AT ALL, instead now stating the order status is "in discussion". I let you now my frustration and what do you do? You ask me to close the case with PayPal! Are you kidding me?!

Not paying their publishers since months
This company is not paying their publishers since July 2024. When I asked explanations, they gave evasive answers and charged me Euro 218.55 as client support fee, although I asked help for something that is exclusively a their failure. There are lot of publishers in the same situation, it is enough to make a very simple search.

We have used their service for many years to collect credit card payments from our customers purchasing software online.
They have stolen our money and have not paid us since June 2024. Several times they wrote that they unilaterally changed terms of the contract, adding ridiculous fees for support that we have never used for anything else than solve their mistakes.
Several times they wrote us that money was transferred to us, but never anything arrived.
They are plain thieves and scammers. We will participate in a class action suit against these criminals. We hope that the responsible individuals, in particular new owner Barry Kasoff will be held personally accountable.
