Disgusted
Absolutely heartbroken. I thought I was booking with easyjet. Its very misleading.
We amended our flights from june to August but we're not informed we would not get the chance to have a voucher or refund once we amended it. Flight goes out tomorrow. You pay more for the so say security of their service and help. Easyjet ARE offering refunds from when your original flight was booked even if YOU cancel and they don't. however directline inform me that if we cancel we will loose 100%.
I made 7 bookings.
Lost 7 peoples well earned money because we cannot go.
I wouldn't of minded if we lost the admin fee. I just wanted something back. Now I have to break the news to the others.
It's a scam!
I understand the industry is struggling but better service will make people book with you again. Directline will go under. Not trustworthy. No security as promised.

Absolutely disgusted with Directfraud !
I had booked two tickets to Malaga in Spain through Directline, however I thought I had booked through EasyJet, but automatically came through to Directline, this was last December 2019. The flight was for 5th April 2020 and was cancelled due to lockdown. I have called several times, And sent emails, and nothing !. I am absolutely disgusted with this company, never have I had experienced such an appalling service. And what I don’t understand is we have absolutely no help from anyone, including EasyJet !. I just want my refund back. And please to anyone reading this, please never book with Directline their service is SHOCKING !

I made a booking with Directline Flights last July for…
I made a booking with TUI last July for my mother in law to attend my daughters wedding this coming September. At the time of making the booking I was redirected to Directline Flights and the booking process was straight forward, the cost of the flights were £379 and Directline added a booking fee of £25. At no point did they mention that service charge was not refundable, so I went ahead and booked the flights. Unfortunately the flights were cancelled by TUI- who were very helpful when I contacted them. I was told that I would get a full refund with seven working days. However, on checking my booking they informed me that they had refunded Directline and I would need to get my refund from them. I emailed Directline as you cannot speak to them, and they came back to me within a couple of days and informed me I would get a full refund. I then had email from them telling me that they had raised a cheque and that they would post it out the following day. When I question them why they were paying me by cheque and not refunding the credit card that I had paid with, they said that their system could not repay someone if booking was more a year old. They then made cheque out to my mother in law and not to me, when the cheque arrived they had only refunded the £379 and it didn’t include the £25 service charge. I emailed asking for an explanation, and added that other flights that I had booked with other 3rd party’s this year have all been fully refunded. Directline response to my question was that they have to cover their overheads and that the service charge is not refundable. This is a really poor service as we didn’t cancel the flights so we should not have to stand to the charge - this is not clear when you make a booking with them.
Hi Careful who you book with
Hi, I wish I`d read the reviews before booking with Directline Flights, we did get most of our money back, but lost £60 booking fee, I don`t remember any bit that said a booking fee, and I too thought I was booking with Easyjet, so please be careful out there, even Richard Turpin had the morals to wear a mask.

No upates, no refund. Annoyed, but sorted now.
Booked a Flybe flight with this company as I didnt seem to be able to book direct with Flybe - just kept being directed to this outfit. Flybe went bust as we all know. Directline said I would have my refund within 8 weeks from the date of travel. Not heard another peep from them since 8th April, and no refund. My friend who booked direct with Flybe has had her money back weeks ago. I'm very disappointed and annoyed that I now have to put time and effort into starting a chargeback process with my credit card company.
Update: I wrote again to Directline and said that I would start the charge back process with my credit card company. Directline responded quickly and have refunded me. They said they had just received a batch of payments from Flybe, but were processing my refund out of their own funds to speed things up, which was nice of them. I have therefore improved their score from 1 to 3 Stars.

Easyjet haven't flown out of East Midlands in forever and Flybe went bust... but directflights are still listing them as carriers on their website. If they're not capable of keeping their website up to date, I'd be worried about using them

Be warned, appalling customer service.
I hadn't realised that I had inadvertently used this company to book easyjet flights. I would recommend anyone to book directly with easyjet & to not use a third party, as you end up paying for booking fees that you dont need to. This company's service was appalling. Each time I chased them or had a question, they just paid me lip service & didn't fully investigate my concerns. I WOULD STAY CLEAR OF USING THEM, AS WHAT THEY DO, CAN BE DONE DIRECTLY THROUGH THE AIRLINE THEMSELVES. PLUS YOU WONT PAY AN EXTRA FEE. I intend to get their name out there, in the hope that people wont use their services. Possibly Martin Lewis could share something.

Flight cancelled - no refund 4 months later
Our flight was cancelled and they have still not given our money back - they ask us to wait 90 days which has long passed and now they won’t respond and you can’t call them.

Anyway, still waiting for a refund even though its been over 30 days. I understand the pressures of Covid, however, these people keep blaming Easyjet and accept no responsibility!
I would be happier if they held their hands up and explained delay but no.... not their fault!!
Will never book again with them

Pity there isn't a 0 star option
I booked a flight way before lockdown with them on 28 Feb with Flybe who of course went bust. I have had several emails from them promising a refund but still no money.

Awful
Awful. My daughters flight by Easyjet to Southern Italy was one of the first cancelled on 11 March. Still waiting for refund from this lot. By comparison we booked directly with Easyjet and got our refund within two weeks. We have been promised the refund within 5 days then two weeks then 1 month, then 3 months and now????
Give them to the end of the month then it's off to the Small Claims Court

They kept some of my refund
I have waited for 12 weeks for my refund and they have paid me £20 short. I have queried this and they say it is a ,"service fee".
Imagine how much they are making if they do this to everyone! I am.so disappointed with Directline flights as they gave such good service pre Covid19. I wont use them again.
Booked a Ryanair flight last September…
Booked a Ryanair flight last September - like many on here, I don't believe I made a conscious decision to book with Directline Flights, but that is what transpired. My flight was cancelled by Ryanair this week and I requested a refund. Ryanair have said they will give me the majority of my money back, less a figure of £30 or so. When I asked why this was the case, they said I should pick this up with Directline Flights. I duly e-mailed them and their response was fairly quick - unfortunately it was equally terse. To paraphrase their response it said, "here are our T's & C's - you will not be getting any money from us." I queried why this was the case, but was again met with the same response. Clearly I don't anticipate that I will get my Ryanair money anytime soon, but at least they have acknowledged that they will refund the flight given that they are unable to provide the service. Directline Flights on the other hand are insisting on hiding behind a very flimsy excuse and have, in my humble opinion, provided very little, if any, actual service. As a consequence it is hard to escape the idea that this company are deliberately profiteering from the current global pandemic. They have provided next to nothing by way of goods or service, but are steadfastly refusing to acknowledge that this is wrong.
If I had had the benefit of these other reviews at the time, I would have avoided the company. I can only hope that others read them in time.

Looking for refund of booking deposit, no chance as stated in T&C’s non refundable. Claims this is clear on booking instruction but not on mine. Have given up hope getting money back. Hope they choke on it. Do not use this company and hopefully they will get their just reward.
