2024, the worst show of the past 10 years

I am not an art critic, but we have been going to Disney on Ice since my daughter is 4 years old. She is now thirteen.

I leave that negative review, hoping that others will do the same, so Disney never massacred again the Show.

It was not Disney on Ice (at least there was ice), but some sort of knockoff of TV Show, using screens to display photos of guests, inviting the public on the ice, and repetitively asking you to twitter with hashtag.

It should have been called Disney Online doing clickbait.

There was no Art in that show, no magic, no emotion, and likely no work.

i’ve been coming to disney on ice with my daughter for over 15 years now, it’s a tradition we do every july for her birthday. it has always been an amazing show with fireworks, fire on the ice, crazy stunts and more however 2024 has been the worst show by far obviously their on some budget there was nothing other cylinder screen moving up and down the ice between performances. They literally used the screen of will smith as the genuine for aladdin poor work and lazy dedication in compassion to previous years. The song choices and overall performance was disappointing, they used the rebranded aladdin and toy story where no kids knew it or want to dance to songs. none of the kids in my row sang along and lost interest mid way. do better very disappointed with 2024

I brought my 4 year old to enjoy Disney…

I brought my 4 year old to enjoy Disney on Ice on a Sunday, at lunch. The show itself was incredible. We purchased the affordable seats at the Long Beach Arena, and the view was great. However, this venue sold alcohol and what I am assuming was a father with a group of teenagers were aweful. He was obviously drunk and the kids were just feeding off his behavior. I felt sorry for the family and did my best to remain calm. I can only imagine it’s someone who struggles with addiction that can’t do a mid day activity without over drinking. I don’t understand why every time we gather alcohol must be included. Especially, when we are there for our children. Do better Disney.🙏

So very sad that the program has…

So very sad that the program has nothing to do with the actual show. A program should tell what happens. It does not! As a teacher, a younger child should be able to take a book (program) home and be able to relive the experience. It helps with sequencing, storytelling, and comprehension. DO NOT BUY THE PROGAM!!!!! It has nothing to do with the show!

I wanted to share how disappointed I…

I wanted to share how disappointed I was with the Disney On Ice show I recently attended. It didn't feel like a Disney event at all. The atmosphere was more like a local ice hockey match, not the magical Disney setting we expected. The food was expensive and of low quality, and the souvenirs seemed cheap, like something you'd find at a Sunday market.

There were no Disney characters to meet or activities for kids before the show or during the break. This lack of interaction was a big letdown for my family. The stage itself was small, which might be why the show lacked a central theme or story. It just felt like a series of unrelated, short performances from various cartoons.

The ice skating wasn't impressive either, reminding me more of a junior competition than a professional show. I wouldn't mind the ticket prices if the experience had been memorable, but unfortunately, it was just a huge disappointment.

The show itself is great

The show itself is great. My major problem is the total ripoff of the preshow meet and greet. Only juice and water provided. The "games" are coloring and cutting out a snowflake. No sing-a-long and each child gets a couple of pictures with the Anna and Elsa characters. TOTALLY not worth $55 a head. That's $165 I'm not getting back.

In comparison to last year this year…

In comparison to last year this year wasn’t as great. Was interactive with the audience last year. Such a focus on princesses and ‘hero’s’. No Toy Story! My boys were gutted, well and myself. Think there needs to be more of a mix of Disney for future shows. Still amazing nonetheless. Merchandise is well overpriced but Disney these days seem greedy.

Very old content, not that exciting and diverse

I was disappointed that the majority of the show "Dream On" was focused on cartoons that were 20+ years old, and didn't reflect the diversity in skin tones or characters that Disney has today. Our show had 8+ princesses, and most of the major segments were on white characters, hetero couples, doing the same routines again. It was amazing to watch the first couple of times, but by the time the 5th couple comes out and performs the same stunts and routine, my daughter (and the whole fam lost interest).

There was a short "Coco" and "Princess and the Frog" cameo, but it wasn't more than 5 mins and honestly the choreo of the segment felt like an afterthought. Really disappointed there was no Encanto or Mulan.

Having seen some new Disney on ice clips online, I know there are better shows, question is why aren't they traveling to major cities like London?

Absolutely disgusted by the cost of food, beverages and worst of all the Disney merchandise. £32 for a bubble wand. The cheapest Disney option was £30. Disney and OVO should be ashamed of what they are charging. This tainted the whole experience. Especially during these hard times.

First time at Disney on Ice

First time at Disney on Ice.
My son and I really enjoyed this show at Wembley OVO arena.
Never been before, didn’t know what to expect. Skaters were so skilled. Show wasn’t too long, around 2 hours including interval.
Only let down are the food drink and merch prices. As a family event family friendly prices would have been great. £27 for 4 soft drinks and 1 hotdog was excessive. £32 for a bubble machine wand thingy.
I’m not sure it’s a for the die hard Disney fans but it’s certainly lovely enough for the children.

Overpriced Merchandise

I was astonished and disgusted at the exorbitant cost of the merchandise for this show.
£30 per wand light
£20 popcorn
£15 snowcone
How can they justify this? I contacted the OVO Hydro, who immediately washed their hands of the situation directing me to Feld Entertainment. In their corporate response, I noted with some mirth that they highlighted that the cups the snowcones were served in were guaranteed for 2yrs!! Really? Was That supposed to impress me?
This greed, at a time of cost of living crisis, has quietly soured this experience. Why charge these outrageous prices when young children are involved?

Son dressed in fav character, no show

Son dressed in lightning McQueen clothing and main reason we booked , no show of Disney cars he was so upset at end and honestly he fell asleep he was bored, told him I’d wake him for McQueen so wasted ticket.
My daughter loves beauty and the beast they started the show with Belle at start but failed to do beauty and beast song and Belle in her dress with the beast, only half this story but at end they came on with everyone else for an end skate, my daughter was confused, no Snow White either a main princess from start of Disney.
Skaters were amazing but rest was rubbish, far too much focus on frozen and forgot the rest, cars,Toy Story etc.
£16 for a candy floss , £30 for cheapest toy, disgraceful, waste of nearly £300 for our family of 5,very disappointed won’t be going again , rubbish

Very disappointed with Disney on ice!

Very disappointed with Disney on ice!
My husband and I spent almost $400 on 4 tickets to Disney on ice in Philadelphia after Christmas for ourselves and our two children. When booking our tickets the seats showed all together. Day of the show we get to our seats and our fourth seat was divided by a railing (not one we could climb over). I reached out to Disney on ice as well as the venue and both said there was nothing they could do. Beware when booking your tickets! I will not be going again!

Left at the interval

Left at the interval, what an absolute waste of time and money. £200 for tickets, £37 for parking, £14 for candy floss. Sounds was terrible, skating was boring and characters were bland. If this is 100yr celebration, they clearly didn’t want to celebrate

Princesses of color were missing

We watched the show yesterday and we all enjoyed it very much! However, Alladin and Jasmine were missing from the show. Not sure if there was any reason behind it. We spent money on it and audience like to see all the characters i.e Alladin &Jasmine, Tinkerbell, Tiana, Ariel, Encanto. Please try to include all of the princesses of color on the show. Thank you!

Poor show

Went with daughter and 7 yr old Grandson for my Birthday.
We had talked about it for years !!
What a let down. Firstly the cost of the merchandise. £32 for a flashing wand.
My Grandson has an access pass but we still had to queue which meant we missed 1st few minutes.
The show was very repetative and I did not know who half the characters were.
Very little in way of lights, props, pyrotechnics etc
For their 100th year it was not much of a celebration !!!
