Great Day Out - BUT, watch out for the exhorbitant side hustles

This is an excellent day out .... BUT with caveats. Firstly, tickets are not too bad up in the "Gods" - actually not a bad view - but choose the side, you see more (Paid £41 per seat - family of four). 10 and 8 year old so excited about the Dome, etc. The show itself is great, really good sing along, etc.

BUT - as per others, the side hustles are exhorbitant. If you have a plastic flashing wand at home, take it (£32 is absolutely disgraceful for the piece of rubbish you have to buy there - nearly as much as a ticket. O2 should be ashamed).
- Programme guide - £14 (really!!) - shame on you.
- Also, two bags of sweets from pick'n'mix - £17.
- 2 x small waters £6 and they remove the caps.

So, a great show - just take your own water and snacks for the kids, do not buy a programme - you don't need it ... and take your own plastic flashy thing (fiver in most tacky high street shops).

My five yr

My five yr. old absolutely loved it and sang along to the songs, swaying her arms back and forth. My only complaint is the food and toys are TOO expensive. We will definitely go back and pack some snacks in our bags. 🙂

Absolute racket

What an absolute racket. Be prepared to be totally ripped off!!! Ridiculous. Spend your hard earned money else where! Three hours pay before tax, so after tax you will have to work 4 hours to buy a flashing wand @ £32. Hope this gives an idea! Lots of empty seats speaks for itself.
The amount of unnecessary plastic waste produced is unbelievable. Disney obviously does not have a sustainability policy. Disney state 'Its a day Ill never forget'........but I will try!

Disney needs sorted out

So what I mostly disliked is the extortion that was in Disney ice I have just went I am shocked on how much it cost just to get 2 flashing cups and food and the parking space cost £8
Which is ridiculous and the two cups cost £16 each I also got hotdogs their which were thankfully on other even though it just knocked off 20p or 30p
The 3 packets of sweets cost £3.80 which is raising the prices and being expensive even in this living crisis and they want to rip you're eyeballs out also the flashing light toys are expensive aswell when they are made out of cheap material I am unimpressed by this but the shoe I watched was good even tho the seat I was sat in didn't surrport my Back and I hunched also their was this woman sat infront of a pillar so she couldnt see the show and I'm appalled by that bcs their should not be a seat their at all if it blocks your view so I had a bad experience where I sat was pretty good but some of the seats are way to far up so you can't see the show that well the show was all in all good I'm 15 years old and it was a bit disappointing when I saw they used the screen more than practical effects which really dosent show the magic I'm sorry disney but this year disney on ice was a bust even on your 100 year anniversary

I just been to Disney on ice at Sheffield arena tonight and I have to admit last years show was better. This year is rubbish..

First part is more the same has last year's.

But you bearly see cinderella or anything to do with beauty and best. And no sleeping beauty this year at all.
But have ariel do a main part not being funny but ariel ain't a first princess that pops in mind.
Why don't you put disney Cars as a act you got finding nemo and toy story again.

The ice skating itself was amazing but the show wasn't as long as expected. A lot of money for not even 1.5hr show. We didn't see the lion King, or beauty and the beast plus sven or the beast. Abit disappointing but my child loved it!

Excellent entertainment

Disney is “not my thing” - but I really enjoyed it. First time I have been to an ice show, and I thought this one was excellent. Tacky and truly American in its OTT glitziness… but you cannot fault the professionalism, nor the skill, of the ice dancers. Brilliant - gorgeous -costumes and simple but effective staging. Lovely special effects, including fire, and snow, & impressive computerised moving ships and things.. Some fabulous aerobatics as well as ice dancing that would have gained an Olympic Gold metal. (especially the dancer who played Mwana/Elsa). My only problem (apart from horrendous queues to get out of Exeter Westpoint) was the dreadfully loud & unbalanced sound - too much bass - and you could not hear some of the dialogue or vocals. But otherwise (you don’t need to buy the food or overpriced merchandise!) a joyous, exuberant & fairytale entertainment. I felt I had been transported to Hollywood and the world of Walt Disney.

Hugely Disappointing!

Awful. Dismal setting with tacky metal scaffolding at stage area, No props, no animals (except a few fish) no dwarves, Snow White was most definitely a dude and the 6’ Elsa was also suspect. With just a little more effort it could have been passable..eg not even a HeyHey on the boat, Sven or Beast. Worst production by Disney to date and definitely not worth the money. Half price would have still been too much for this lack lustre performance. Don’t bother!

Been taking my granddaughters for 9…

Been taking my granddaughters for 9 years now and the shows are getting worse and worse. They are costing more and more. We use to buy wands outside the venue and everything else inside, but you can’t buy anything outside any more. They don’t sell anything outside. Not sure if I want to spend the money next year or not! Very disappointed.

Not going back

The performance itself was fantastic but I won’t be going back. Despite choosing a night performance I could barely see the show through the sheer size of the Moana hook the boy in front of me was waving above his head and his mum told him to hold it lower but did absolutely nothing when he kept doing it. At interval I swapped seats with someone I went with and this time my view was blocked by bored toddlers who decided to stand on their seats and their mothers reaction was simply to laugh and take photos as though it was the cutest thing ever rather than get them to sit back down. I left extremely disappointed and frustrated having paid the same as everyone else and having a restricted view due to poor/lack of parenting these days and will not return unless they start doing 18+ shows. I get kids get excited but I’m not wasting my money on something I may not be able to see because kids can’t behave in a society that becomes more selfish by the minute.

Brilliant show...... EXTORTIONATE PRICED FOOD, DRINKS AND MERCHANDISE!!!! BEWARE!!!!!

Brilliant show. Ice skaters and acrobats are very talented. Costumes and props amazing. Sadly though we were disgusted at the EXTORTIONATE prices for food, drinks and merchandise. Bought my granddaughter a light up stick wand.....£30 !!!!!! Hot dog....£9.50 !!!!! How on earth can those prices be justified????? It's meant to be a family show! Thankfully I could afford to pay this and did not want to upset my granddaughter. Everywhere you turn, the minute you walk through the door, there's stalls selling the extortionately priced goods. I feel so sorry for families who have saved so hard to treat their children, to then turn up at the venue to find that any drinks or food taken in WILL BE CONFISCATED. So they have no option but to pay these dreadful prices. There is no way the companies can justify them. You would think that the state the economy is in at the moment, better efforts would be made to make shows like this more accessible financially to more families.

Paid over $400 for 2 adults 2 kids for VIP seats. They were that far away we could hardly see. People next to us only paid $320 for the same seats as us. When I questioned it they said it was "dynamic " pricing. What a load of codswallop.
Was nothing like as good as it was 20 years ago. Take your $450 and go for a nice weekend at the beach instead. No value at Disney on ice

Disney on Ice resort World Birmingham

The show itself in the words of my granddaughters was amazing. We all had a great time BUT as others have said the merchandise is so over priced and BEWARE of what drinks you take with you. Our cans of pop were confiscated and the metal drinks bottles had to be handed in and collected after the show so take plastic bottles as this is what they sell inside. 2 bottles of Fanta, bottle of Oasis and a clipo £11.35 same as you would pay at the cinema.
Plenty of food halls portion of chips £4.15.
RIP OFF is the popcorn and 2 slush puppies which come in a lovely Disney plastic cup that can be taken home and reused and the popcorn in a Donald duck cardboard box cost a grand total of £35 which on top of the price of the tickets makes for an expensive but enjoyable afternoon. A pair of flashing mickey mouse ears £25 and nothing you can't get from a cheap shop which we didn't get. My advice is go prepared to have a lovely time and a pocket full of money and allow at least an hour and a half to park up and get to the arena

The show itself is fantastic BUT

The show itself is fantastic, the actors and dancers are brilliant, the costumes are amazing. We really enjoyed the show and the tickets were worth the money. The merchandise they sell though is absolutely extortionate-unbelievably, £25 quid for a light wand WHICH I wouldnt mind if it were good quality but it's the same tat they sell on the streets outside so bear that in mind if you go...you won't be getting anything better quality for your buck inside the venue. Of course these reviews won't bother disney because they will make a mint regardless but I will remember for next time. I would go again just wouldn't buy anything from them.

Disney on Ice Glasgow

Disney on ice Glasgow Excellent show took our granddaughter ( 5) she loved it. Well worth the ticket price. However the souvenirs are so overpriced it’s just not fair on people with 2 or 3 or more children !! We have attended this show for many years and have saw the prices go up and up.
