DITTO is a supplement brand, founded by PhD nutrition scientist Alice van der Schoot, that is defining a new standard in menstrual health. Billions of us face challenging menstrual cycle symptoms, yet when we search for solutions, we often feel stuck with options that seem like “trial and error”, or nothing at all. We’re caught in a cycle of painkillers or isolation to cope. And when we turn to healthcare guidance, we’re met with dismissive suggestions like “rub your tummy” (yes, that’s really a thing!) instead of evidence-based advice. We deserve better. Clinical trials show that certain nutrients effectively reduce menstrual cycle symptoms, compared to a placebo. What was truly shocking to Alice was how little of this info was accessible. Many of us know nutrition can help, but it gets blurry knowing what to take or how to use it effectively. This became a relentless pursuit to create an entirely science-first supplement, where every nutrient has proven effectiveness in clinical trials. No guesswork, no trial and error, but something you can trust to actually work.

I have diagnosed PMDD
I have diagnosed, severe and debilitating PMDD. Ditto was recommended by my therapist. I've been taking since January and I've noticed the difference, and I will go so far as to say it has changed my life. It has helped me MANAGE my condition, I still get episodes but the intensity has lessened somewhat.
My only gripe is the advertising: I find it insensitive and inaccurate to how PMDD presents itself, and clearly some people are incentivised to advertise - please don't do this as it invalidates real life for those that do suffer!!
If you suffer from PMDD, or struggle with hormonal mood disorders, please do try this. It could change your life.
3 months review
Have been taking it for 3 months and have noticed improvements in my PMS symptoms. I am 40 and have been struggling with migraines, insomnia, coldsores, mood swings, joint pain lately so decided to try DITTO and I am glad I did!

The final puzzle piece!
Having been on hormone medication and SSRIs to manage awful PMDD and pelvic pain for a little while, Ditto has proved to be the last piece of the puzzle successfully ironing out the last kinks and making me feel truly myself for the first time in many years. It’s truly helped keeping my mood and energy levels much more consistent

Life saver!
I honestly can’t recommend Ditto enough. As someone who suffers with PMDD and adenomyosis, it has genuinely been life-changing for me. Before using it, my periods completely controlled my life — the pain, exhaustion, mood changes, and overall impact on my mental health and daily functioning were overwhelming. Since starting Ditto, my quality of life has improved so much more than I ever expected. I feel more like myself again, with symptoms that are actually manageable instead of debilitating.
It’s made such a huge difference not just physically, but emotionally too, because living with conditions like PMDD and adenomyosis can be so isolating and exhausting. Finding something that actually helps feels incredible. I genuinely recommend this to every woman suffering with difficult periods, hormonal symptoms, or chronic cycle-related pain — it’s been one of the best things I’ve done for myself.

I intuitively knew I could trust DITTO…
I intuitively knew I could trust DITTO when I first saw their website. And that’s rare for me these days! So much marketing everywhere, it’s rare for me to feel deep alignment with a brand just from some advertising and their website. So I thought I’d try it out.. and for the first time in decades (except those months I was pregnant or newly postpartum and didn’t have a menstrual cycle), I braced for my day 16/17 slump…and it never came. I told no one initially, assuming it was fluke or maybe I was pregnant. But then it happened again the following month…and I started telling everyone!
Now my period SURPRISES me! I can be so caught up in the beauty of our lives now that PMDD doesn’t rule our family for 1/3 of each month (or more, given I used to have to prep a lot in advance for those very dark days ahead, not to mention the sinking feeling I’d feel as ovulation approached, knowing it would be hitting me soon). I can now be enjoying our lives so much that my period comes and I think “oh! right! Ok. That surprised me!”
I did a lot of work before starting DITTO, I worked through a lot of anxiety, and I worked a lot on healing my gut and allergies. Then I found DITTO, and I believe the combination of all that work was getting me somewhere but it was DITTO that gave us our lives back, as a family. In fact I say ‘back’ - it was brand new!!
I couldn’t recommend it more strongly. And I’m so grateful for all the work that has gone into developing it!

Love Ditto
Love Ditto! I've been taking these supplements for about 5 months and noticed a difference immediately. My leg muscle pains have vanished and my periods have gone back up to 4-5 days from 2 days. I'm not sure if Ditto is helping for my mood swings - I do still get quite agitated and upset before my period, but overall I feel a lot better (content, relaxed and in less pain) than before.

Improved symptoms
I have endometriosis and I’ve been taken Ditto for 3 months now & I’ve seen an improvement in my symptoms especially before I start my period. I’ve noticed I’m becoming less anxious and my mood swings are calmer

6 months in
I’ve been taking Ditto for about 6 months now, and what I noticed immediately within a week of taking it was just a lot more daily energy and vitality which was a really welcome change.
Slowly over the course of the first 3 months I noticed that my PMS symptoms seemed to fade into the background, still present, but way less noticeable, particularly the mood swings! I’m now at a point where I don’t really want to go back to not taking it, because I’m pretty confident that it’s helping my menstrual cycle be more manageable.
Don’t expect this supplement to be a miracle worker that will take away period pain, but it will absolutely help ease your symptoms in the long run.

PMDD symptoms have changed!
I have been taking DITTO around 4/5 months now, I’d really recommend giving them time to work - every body is different. I’ve definitely noticed changes along the way, and more so over the last month.
I have ADHD and I am being reviewed for PMDD - which is highly likely given my symptoms.
I have pain for roughly two plus weeks, throughout my body on the run up to the time of the month, not only this but my mental state changes dramatically, and I feel like my whole world is ending! - I’m now learning that there are so many more of us that feel like this, which is comforting. However I didn’t want to feel like this anymore, and getting a gynaecologist appointment seems impossible. I’d seen DITTO flying around on TikTok and like everybody I was sceptical. But here I am 4/5 months in and still continuing my subscription! Definitely recommend. And just give them time ladies 🫶🏻

I have endometriosis
I have endometriosis and this supplement had been a game changer for me in terms of dealing with the brain fog and tiredness that I get with it. It also helps with mood too. It's not cheap but its so worth having and I can't do without it .I'm now around 6months of taking it but noticed a difference in the first month.

Unfortunately ditto has not worked very…
Unfortunately ditto has not worked very well for me. I have a PMDD diagnosis as well as severe pmt. I have been taking ditto for 3 months now and I haven’t had any significant changes from taking them. I truly wish they did work for me as I would love the miracle of living without hell week. Also I wasn’t subscribed and the charged me £79 a couple of days ago. Luckily their customer service team is on the ball and got me a refund within a couple of hours.

Not being paid to write this...
Not being paid to write this - which I was sceptical of with all the amazing reviews I read before buying. But, they REALLY do make a difference! I was taking most of the ingredients seperately before making the decision to buy DITTO, and not only is it easier to not take 23459 pills a day, but I feel the effects of DITTO way more than when I was taking all the others. Their ingredients must be really pure and bioavailable! I have been recommending them to all my friends with period struggles. Took about 2/3 months to feel the difference.

I really wish I had known about these…
I really wish I had known about these sooner. I have always had PMDD, and fully thought there was nothing to make it better. Literally the week I started taking these, I noticed a difference in my symptoms and now am in my luteal phase and it feels s amazing to finally
feel 'normal'. I had seen an ad for them but thought it was a bogus scheme or something but after reading the hundreds of positive reviews I gave them a try and now I'm never going back!

I have been taking them for a few months now and it has helped me a lot on my period. I’m able to work and go gym by day 3 of my period. Super recommended!

Ditto aren't being honest about their clinical trial results
This is a long one, so TLDR for all of us ADHD-ers:
-Ditto haven't been part of over 100 clinical trials like they repeatedly say online as their "proof"
-Ditto keep quoting the one clinical trial they have actually done as proof for their supplement, but the trial specifically EXCLUDES any person with a reproductive health condition.
Their whole claim is helping people with PMS, PMDD etc and people with PMDD are literally excluded from their clinical study. It's not ok to take advantage of a community without the evidence but pretend like you have.
Long version:
I went on Ditto's website to review purchasing their supplement after seeing an instagram ad. I'm really concerned at the misleading claims they've got on the site which are NOT reflected in their actual trial data.
On their website, they say the following:
(homepage)
-BACKED BY 100+ CLINICAL TRIALS
-Proven through Clinical Trials
(shop page)
-Clinical Trials: PMS, PMDD, PCOS, Endometriosis, Perimenopause
I took from this that Ditto have been part of over 100 clinical trials since they are saying they've been proven in them. This is NOT the case.
Ditto have taken research papers that reference ingredients in their supplement, and have positioned those papers as "clinical trial evidence" for their supplement. I'm so annoyed because a) they're making out like it's their trials and they aren't, and b) because the ingredient amounts in the other papers are WILDLY different to Ditto's ingredient amounts. EG - Ditto have 600 IU of vitamin D in their supplement, but they're relying on research papers that study the effect of 5000 IU !!
Second massive issue - they have actually done a clinical trial, like ONE trial. I read the trial protocol for the study, and it excludes anyone with a known reproductive health condition. That means it excludes anyone with diagnosed PMDD, which is insane when every other instagram ad is claiming it works amazing for PMDD.
Ditto - you need to be real about the trials you've actually been part of vs haven't. You need to be clear where you've selected an ingredient dosage and type based on research vs where you're referencing papers which are completely different to your supplement. You need to be honest on your website and actively flag that you haven't done a study with the communities you say you're trying to help.
I'm not going to be purchasing.

Thoroughly recommend
This product has helped me loads just to feel in control of my mind and body in the week leading up to my period and then in the first couple days bleeding. I can think clearly rather than catastrophising every ache and pain or wobbly emotion. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still in pain and I still get emotional, but I just feel like I can observe it rather than letting it take over. Honestly felt it within the first few weeks of use!
