Stay far away from DNAComplete!
Like many reviewers, I have also experienced extremely long processing delays and no answers to when I can expect results. I wish I had checked this site before ordering back in August, I am at the point now where I dont believe I will ever see actual results, just excuses.
Stay away, as far as you can from this company
Due to some genetic-based health issues in the family, decided to take a DNA test last August (2025). I found NebulaGenomics to have some cloud, backed up by George Chruch, renowned geneticist. Little I knew I was purchasing a product from DNAcomplete. After a couple months went by with no news from the results, I started to get in touch with customer service. I didn't check trustpilot or bbb, but my experience follows many of those reported there. It has been 6 months chasing answers to simple questions: what is the status of the DNA processing? When should I expect to get back results? Customer service can't help, the phone number they shared is just a voicemail (not a human to talk with), no callback received. It feels like a scam, stay away, as far as you can.
Paid $495, sample received by firm, still no results months later
I ordered the DNA Complete Pro Test in October 2025 for $495. DNA Complete confirmed they received my sample on 4 December 2025.
At first, the customer portal showed clear processing steps and status updates. After the delay dragged on, those updates disappeared and were replaced with a generic “results are being processed” message. When I asked what happened to the tracker, support replied: “Our IT Department has removed the status tracker as part of planned update.” Removing the tracker has made it even harder to understand what is actually happening with my order.
I’ve contacted support multiple times asking for a concrete update and a delivery date. I still haven’t been given any meaningful timeline. The latest responses I received (11 Jan & 11 Feb) was simply: “Thank you for reaching out please bear with us while we look into this for you.” and "We have had possession of your sample for nine weeks and six days. Once your sample meets all quality metrics, an email notification will be sent to the address on file.
I was not warned about major delays at the time of purchase. I would have never bought this kit with such delay as I needed it for a health intervention, which has long passed.
At this point, I just want a full refund.
Rating them 1 only because there is no option for 0
Rating them 1 only because there is no option for zero. They will take your money, but they won’t ever give you results back. It’s been over 6 months and nothing abd not even a follow up email or anything that would suggest they are putting in some kind of effort. I bought a 23 and me kit around Christmas and already have the results back.
SCAM
SCAM!
6 months, no results and I got the runaround from customer service to keep me on the hook until the 120 days passed for me to be able to dispute the charge on my credit card.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
I wish I would have read the reviews first before I spent $450. Months in and still have not received my results.
Very bad I waited six months to get…
Very bad I waited six months to get their stupid results, generally DNA test is only good for ancestry, don't let them fool you to think
that you can get any health benefits from this test you will not,If you want do a specific test like genesight,I regret paying every cent I paid
STAY AWAY!
STAY AWAY!
The service is already extremely expensive, but the real problem starts after you pay. The DNA report takes far longer than advertised to be delivered. Then comes the shock: a **$450 monthly subscription** just to keep access to your own report, something that is not made that clear upfront.
I cancelled as soon as I realized this, within the allowed timeframe, yet I was still charged $450 and told it was “too late.” I have no use for their service, I don’t want it, and I will never log in again, yet they kept my money anyway.
There is zero empathy, zero flexibility, and zero respect for customers. This feels like a pure cash-extraction model built on surprise charges and rigid policies, not on service or trust. Losing $450 may not hurt them, but it matters to real people.
Avoid this company. Do not give them your credit card. Learn from my mistake.
Still waiting
Still waiting. And I believe for ever. What a scam.
This must be due to the company (almost) going banckrupt. There was a takover from nebula to dnacomplete. That's when the big trouble started.
Months of Lies, No Results, No Refund – Avoid at All Costs
I am writing this review out of sheer frustration and anger at the way DNA Complete has handled my case.
DNA Complete confirmed that my DNA sample arrived at their laboratory in mid-July 2025. Despite this, I was repeatedly told for four weeks that they had not received it. That alone was concerning.
It is now January 2026. Over six months later, I still have no results whatsoever.
Throughout this period, I have been given shifting explanations, vague assurances, and what I can only describe as misleading or outright false statements about timelines and progress. Every time I followed up, I was told to wait a little longer. Nothing ever materialised.
I dealt with Diamond Grayson at Prophase Desk customer service, who has refused my request for a full refund, despite the complete failure to deliver the service I paid for.
This test was not cheap. I saved for six months to afford it. I chose DNA Complete specifically because they marketed themselves as offering one of the most comprehensive DNA packages available. I did my research. I watched YouTube reviews. None of them warned me that customers could be left waiting indefinitely with no results and no accountability.
If you are considering DNA Complete, I strongly urge you to think twice. Based on my experience, I feel misled, ignored, and financially exploited.
I will be pursuing further action to recover my money.
Likely scammers
Update: I am coming back with an update to say that I received a full refund after I contacted support and they responded fairly quickly as well, which makes me up my stars to 3/. I still believe the lack of transparency upfront is a major issue, and considering how much money they're likely making, an investment into a proper (transparent) website and communication strategy is overdue.
****
Yeah, these guys are terrible. Zero transparency. I went to reactivate my account on DNA complete (I am ex-Nebula) and after I put in my credit card details, they went ahead and charged it right away with an arbitrary amount. I had no "preview", no info on how much their memberships are, nothing. I contacted their support but the contact form seems ambiguous. I never received an email confirmation acknowledging I had reached out, luckily I took a screenshot of the window that said "ticket submitted" for my bank because I am disputing the charges. I also asked DNA completed to cancel everything and reverse the charges. The lack of transparency is shady as heck.
Scam! Do Not Use
Scam! Do Not Use this company. They mislead you into thinking that you will have results in "just a few weeks" and then not deliver. I am now in my 6th month of waiting (beyond the time that the credit card company will dispute the charge). Before you purchase - check reddit, and facebook - search DHAComplete Scam. Update: 2/16/2026 - still waiting. I have filed a scam complaint with the BBB.
DNA Complete Unprocessed September 2025 Sample
I submitted a sample in September 2025.
The site showed that the sample was received and had passed quality and integrity protocols. After 8 weeks, I inquired about the status, and they said it was still being processed. At the same time, the site suddenly changed, becoming generic in its description of the sample's status.
Several weeks and multiple checks later, the portal provided no further updates.
At 3 months, I reached out to the support team, and this is their response:
"Hello,
Thank you for contacting our Support Team. We completely understand how frustrating this experience has been. Right now, your sample is going through a reprocessing step as part of our quality control procedures. This is necessary to ensure we deliver the most accurate and reliable results possible. Because this stage can vary depending on the specific characteristics of each sample, we’re currently unable to provide a definitive timeline for completion.
Here’s what you can expect moving forward:
If your sample meets all of our quality metrics, your results will be delivered to your account, and you’ll receive a notification as soon as they're ready.
If your sample does not meet those standards, we’ll contact you directly to coordinate a recollection kit
We genuinely appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to resolve this. Your experience matters to us, and we remain committed to providing you with the highest level of service throughout this process.
Kind Regards,
Kathie
Support Team"
Based on the other reviews on this site, I now understand that I might never see results anytime soon.
Sample was submitted 7 months ago and…
Sample was submitted 7 months ago and still no results. Their customer service keeps quoting “quality control” issues. They refuse to give a rebate.
I have for this test twice with NO…
I have paid for this test twice with NO results. I sent the second one to them in August -- four months ago. From other reviews, this company is a disaster. I doubt that I will ever get results or a refund. For a company backed by George Church, this is severely disappointing.
Order DNA kit (Order # 89698184) with…
Order DNA kit (Order # 89698184) with analysis from DNA Complete powered by Nebula Genomics on July 1st, 2025, 12:14 PM and I still have not received the service after multiple follow ups. They sent the kit and we sent it in, but the analysis part as not been conducted and its been over 6 months and I paid $195 for service and it only should take up to max 6 weeks to get results. This is there reason: "As mentioned previously, your sample was affected by the lab-wide delays that occurred during our transition from our former in-house lab to our external sequencing partners. Your sample has been rerouted to our primary sequencing partner and is currently in active processing at that facility. We are continuing to monitor its progress closely."
If i could give zero stars i would
If i could give zero stars i would. Never received report. Its been more than 6 months! I assume they stole my money! Do not fall victim to this scam.

i bought 2 DNA Complete Pro package at $995 USD each.
it has been 6 months in the processing... and still no results availalble yet.
i contacted support, they said "we are sorry" so i asked for the membership portion, their package comes with 1 year membership. i was told that membership start WHEN the PACKAGES are bought. which means, to this date, i have lost 6 months of update reports.
i am thinking to file in a complaint and ask for a refund WITH MY VISA card. as i paid a service that i have not still received.
Scam in plain sight
I’ve read the reviews and I’m experiencing the same problem. My sample has shown “processing” for four months with no results, and customer support says there is no promised processing time. How can a company operate and charge fees under these conditions? I found this if anyone wants to file a complaint: ReportFraud.ftc.gov, IC3.gov, CMS CLIA
DNA Complete is a terrible company
DNA Complete is a terrible company. You would be wise to get your DNA sequences elsewhere. It's been 8 months or so since I sent in my kit. They continue to take peoples' money knowing that they can't service customers. If you Google them, you will see their financial troubles, they claim to have a lab partner at the moment but there were at least periods of time that they didn't, etc.
