Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 89 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers report significant delays in receiving their product results, with some waiting months or even years without any progress or communication. People frequently mention that customer service is unresponsive, unhelpful, and provides only vague or canned answers, making it difficult to get clear information or a timeline. Reviewers also express frustration with the refund process, stating that the company often refuses refunds despite the lack of service delivery. Though some customers also noted issues with mislabeled samples and the company's inability to provide the services they sell, a few other people also felt that they eventually received a full refund after persistent contact with support.

They are a complete fraud, I notified my TD bank and they have refunded my VISA the $740 dollars I paid to DNA Complete. DO NOT BE SCAMMED again.

18 months and no results yet

18 months and no results yet. Bought my kit when they were Nebula Genomics. The reviews back then weren't so uniformly negative and the price was reasonable. After about 9 months they said they couldn't process my sample and I had to pay $40 to submit a new one. That was about 9 months ago and still no results. Their "refund" policy states "DNA Complete does not issue refunds due to delayed shipments of kits or deliveries of kits, data, or reports." But I would say that they are only "delayed" if they ever do anything, so far I have no indication that they have.

They are a scam

They are a scam. I uploaded my ancestry dna data and they claim results can take up to 7 days. They charged me 19$ - 7 days went by and no results. I spoke with 2 different people via email. They told me to re upload my data and it would work. 7 more days went by and still nothing. I reached out multiple times through the contact support section on their website and no one has responded. This company is terrible. They wont refund your money and they wont help you

Do not send them your money!!

Do not send them your money!!

I did 8 months ago and have nothing to show for it. They don’t even answer when you write and won’t return the money. My money is probably going to bankruptcy lawyers right now.

Dnacomplete is a scam. They’ve changed names at least once. It used to be called Nebula (that’s where my money is right now, in a nebula somewhere), but that went bankrupt, run supposedly by a Harvard prof (George Church). You might have seen him in the news lately promoting his latest self promoting crap about cloning extinct larga mammals.
Well, I guess Harvard should look into an ethics investigation for this clown.

Never received services.

Sent in sample on January 28th, 2025. It is now August 15th, 2025. The company refuses to give a refund and refuses to give any status updates regarding the processing of my sample. They just keep saying "delays", "quality issues", "we need to reprocess", "we can't give you an estimated timeframe", "we don't issue refunds for delays". Make no mistake, this company will steal your money. Go read all the complaints on the Better Business Bureau website. I am trying to get a refund from the fraud department at my credit card institution. They advertise 5-8 week turnaround time and I followed the instructions to collect my sample EXACTLY. There should be ZERO quality issues. This company is a scam. How are they even allowed to legally operate with so many complaints of being a giant scam?

Costly Mistake…

Im disappointed and frustrated! I strongly advise others to steer clear of this company. Despite their promises, they’ve failed to deliver even the most basic service. My sample has been sitting with them for over five months without any progress or communication. I’ve reached out multiple times and still have no clarity on when — or if — it will be processed.
I trusted them with $1,000 and my DNA and have nothing to show for it. Please do your research and choose a reputable provider that stands by their commitments. This experience has been incredibly disappointing and costly.

I would give it 0 stars if I could.

$1000 completely down the drain. Our kit has been sitting in their lab for 32 weeks now with no sign of ever being tested. Trying to get a refund is hopeless. Their emails are passive aggressive and lack any info on why this expensive product is taking so long. There is absolutely no expected timeline at this point. I hope nothing but the worst for this absolutely garbage company.

I'm sorry we didn't read the comments before buying (we trusted a friend that did the test and receive the results) but seems to be the only one that actually received them.

We sent the package in January and the same reply as the others,: there was a problem, this doesn't normally happen...

They don't refund because they keep telling us it's arriving and it's not. We will sue the company.

SCAM? Four Months Later...Still Waiting for Results

Despite checking online reviews and recommendations, I would NEVER recommend this company. Their website states "In just a few weeks, you'll receive an email notification that your results are ready. And then you can access your detailed health and ancestry reports through our secure online portal." FALSE. I submitted my DNA sample the first week in April 2025. As no update had been made to my account by July 2, 2025, I emailed asking for an update. The reply was that it was no uncommon for samples to require reprocessing, which mine was undergoing. I again followed up on August 1st, requesting a refund and was told no. I truly feel this company is fraudulent and misleading. I would never recommend their service because they do not do what they promise, they do not provide communication and at this time I wonder if the results will even be truly accurate or if this is all a scam.

Total sham

This company sprung up as something of a relaunch of Nebula Genomics by ProPhase Labs. I had to take a leap of faith since, when I purchased the test in February of this year, there were no reviews anywhere, just the horrible reviews of Nebula.

The original timeline provided for my $495 sample was "5-8 weeks," which then turned into 12 weeks (according to the website). Now it's been nearly 5 months with nothing.

Customer support was terse, unhelpful, and used confusing language. I don't know what the plan here was, but considering there isn't any credible evidence that *any* number of samples have been processed, I'd love to see a formal investigation or even an explanation of what is going on here.

DNAcomlete is a scam!

This company is a scam!

After a wait time of 6+ months for a WGS service package that was USD 995.- back in January 2025 I have not received any results at all. Nothing.

Customer service acknowleges that my DNA-sample has arrived at the laboratiry. It claims the sample is being processed but has never told me of what stage it is in. DNAcomplete refrains from giving specific dates for delivery, nor do they provide any updates on the status of the sequencing process.
