Historically I always used dnb, back in the good old days, when they had some morals and acted like a decent business. But I too have now become a victim of their snidey rolling contracts, so now I stick with Experian and pay for individual international reports elsewhere. They have absolutely no problem in taking money for nothing rather than helping their customers. For what used to be a professional decent company they are now no better than a backstreet scammer. Shame.
I had an issue with Google Developer and needed to update our company info. Followed instructions and ended up on phone with US D&B, who gave me the wrong number for Canada Customer Service (line was disconnected) after waiting on the phone for 42 minutes. The Canada D&B web site shows a "404 Error" on the 'update your company' link, so spent another 45+ minutes on hold and working through a relatively friendly technician who stil treated me like I was a criminal trying to pull a scam. There was NO authentication process; the agent update the file and sent me an email, but there seems to be no verification and I could have been anyone. The agent claiimed "they would do diligence to confirm this". Both these companies need to get their act together and move these services online, with links that work, and MFA authentication, or, close shop forever, since both Apple and Google rely on their information to allow us to put Apps on their Stores. This is unacceptable, and I am not confident my information is safe and cannot be modified by another individual.
I contacted the company through a freelancer site and was directed to contact a recruiter called Elizabeth William via telegram. They propose a project to you and offer a "contract". They offered for you to receive funds through PayPal or Bank transfer so you think it's legit. Then when you submit the project you're directed to a payment manager called Linda Andrew. The payment manager then has you set up the account on Rolly pay which isn't credible to what they say ( I only found this out later). I was gullible and set it up. Then they ask a $150 dollar sign up fee which is apparently refundable so you think it's fine. Then it goes up to $500 for the VAT Code which is also apparently refundable. Then they suspend the account to pay another refundable fee of $250. Then they find a way to get you to pay another fee of $
1300 for a currency exchange. This finally raised too many red flags and I found out that it was a scam far too late. Please don't pay any fees and insist on them using PayPal or a credible bank account. If they try to persuade you otherwise, run.

Terrible website and customer service. It is a requirement to have a DUNS number to register a specific filing with the FDA for one of my businesses. Why the FDA would force small businesses to work with Dun and Bradstreet seems pretty ridiculous to begin with. As soon as you create an account, they offer no help and try to upsell you a bunch of stuff you do not need. So if there was an honest person not knowing any better, they would likely be scammed into spending money on something they don't need. DNB had the incorrect address and code for our business. I tried fixing it online and the site keeps giving me errors and crashes. I called in and the lady on the phone (after waiting for 30 minutes on hold) was not very helpful. She sent me a bunch of broken links that did not solve the problem. So now I am forced to send a bunch of documents to DNB so they can update our profile with the correct info, just so we can get registered with the FDA. DNB should have nothing to do with this process. DNB probably paid someone at the FDA to make this requirement. We should not be forced to share our company information with a scummy 3rd party company just to register with the FDA. Terrible experience with DNB. They literally make money of selling our information, and the government is forcing small businesses to give the information freely to DNB. Such a scam.
Dunn & Bradstreet is complete and utter garbage.
My company signed a year contract to get viable leads which I had to sort through before calling. They were supposed to be legit businesses in commercial buildings. I got home based businesses, PO Boxes and Hollywood phone numbers, you know, (555) area codes that only come up in movies. The time I spent filtering through their garbage was not worth the one or two viable leads in a hundred, and those are not good odds.
My manager tried to get out of the contract within that same week she signed, and they have not listened, tried to make it her fault, and have behaved very unprofessionally. They are as trustworthy and professional as a company as Trump was as a president with his incessant presidential tweets.
Both are a joke.
I will never work with Dun & Bradstreet/Hoovers again!!!! They are BY FAR the worst source for lead generation. I'm not sure how they farm their data but it is incredibly inaccurate. Don't waste your time or money.
They contacted me through Fiverr. They asked me to copywrite 94 pages with the promise that I was going to earn money. After I delivered the job they transfer me to a USA Bank, Pantheon Prosperity Bank. In the same moment I got an email from this bank asking me for a refoundable fee of 200usd in order to get a VAT. That apparently was correct so I did it, when I got my vat and could send money they sent me another email telling me that I have to pay for a 500usd refoundable fee in order to upgrade my account which I didn't pay. I'm still waiting for my payment.

We used their service for a year or two and didn't find much value. We cancelled our subscription and yet they continue to try to bill and send threatening letters. Stay away from this company.
An utter mess of a company, virtually every bit of information they have on our company is either unbelievably outdated or flat out incorrect. For instance, listing the owner as someone that passed away more than fifteen years before, when the owner has changed hands twice since. Company website changed in 2013 and they still have the old one listed. Multiple claims of late payments or a laughably low credit, lies about payments being late or money owed that has never been true. Where do they get the information from? They don't say, and much of it I suspect is just made up to make companies look bad so they get suckered into paying D&B large amounts of money to fix things. Even when you try to update the information, much of it doesn't and talking to anyone they just constantly try to sell you on monthly payments or various things they try and rip you off with.
Honestly it borders on slander given that they are providing incorrect information to make our company look worse to anyone that would actually trust them, and doing so for the sole purpose of trying to get us to pay to remove the negative information. We won't be paying (obviously) and I can only hope this company closes down and anyone involved in this horrible scam gets what they deserve.
Any time I called for general information for my business, they try to sell me some expensive program that I CANNOT USE and check with my bank, after my initial conversation with one of the agents I found out they stuck me in a program I do not know what it is and they have been pulling off my checking account 166.58 for a long time, month after month so I will call tomorrow and rectify this situation, I want all the money back in my account.
DnB used to be the source for B2B information. They're worthless now. Most of the contact information comes from filing for LLC's. And then no follow up. Well if you've ever started a business, you usually get the LLC first. Then you get your business address. So for B2B sales your home address that you used to get the LLC is useless. It's no wonder why you have to sign an annual contract for their information. Because if it was monthly they'd be out of business. I spent $6000 for an annual subscription and it was wasted money. Their sales people also used deceptive practices. They show you valuable features. Then once you sign, those features are extra. DnB is a scam.
D&B Not Valid
D&B poses as having "accurate" information on companies, but so few companies report to them that they deceive their listings. For example my company purchases $3M of materials annually, but our highest listed credit line is shown as several thousands of dollars. They show in some cases payments as being slow, when they are not. Sometimes with a dispute they will drop it but there have been times when we need to continue to dispute to push more information. In my opinion, they provide impartial information about companies that is misleading in an effort to try to get you to purchase their services so you can "upload" your payment history to them instead of them collecting it.
This is the worst company I've dealt with. They just are liars
We have tried to resolve some company data that is incorrect on their website - but we have to register for services first! Hard to believe this company has integrity. STAY AWAY!
They asked from me as a freelance to write documents and pay a secure fees. They are scammers
Same happen to me and when I look at the info from Kivra it Shows: A customer to Dun & Bradstreet orderd a kredit info on me Riverty GmbH Purchase via Faktura on Amazon ??????
I never pay with invoice payment is set to my credit card this smells far away Dun made over 24 of these just this year totally destroying my credit status when I make over 400.000 a year and have no loans or credits what so ever. Typical Sweden and your broken system causes by all you weak Swedes not having cuts to stand up for yourself letting the government rule and manipulate you. As my very first Swedish I meet here in Sweden say 14 years ago What are I doing here Sweden is broken. Oooh yes very very broken.
I have been attempting to deal with D&B for years and every time I reach out, I get slapped in the face (figuratively). The employees are extremely unhelpful and only try to sell their services. Some of the information on my company was incorrect, but would they fix what they obviously got wrong? NO! Today I got sick of receiving stupid emails from them saying my company's credit rating changed, but when I tried to Unsubscribe, nothing happened. Now I have to call. I filled out the form completely, but the button to complete the form didn't work. I tried 3 times. I HATE THIS COMPANY. .
