Great Service – Avoided an Unnecessary Hospital Trip
I had a really positive experience with Doctor Care Anywhere. The doctor I spoke with was extremely knowledgeable, patient, and reassuring. Although she wasn’t able to change the medication prescribed by my own GP, she took the time to explain my condition clearly and gave me practical next steps to follow. Her advice put my mind at ease and saved me an unnecessary trip to the hospital. I felt genuinely supported and listened to throughout the appointment. Highly recommended.

5 wasted appointments
Booked first appointment waited 30 mins past booked time until the appointment cut off and was told to call customer services, was then told that doctor must be sick and just didn't turn up. As I had come off a plan and was pay as you go , they can't rebook an appointment I have to pay for a new one which is an absolute scam. Second appointment booked waiting the video call accepts with no video of doctor no audio just blank screen, call stays connected for 5 minutes before cuts off and I receive an email saying I wasnt present. Call customer services again make complaints and told to rebook and pay again. 3rd appointment I have tested my phone on their system everything is verified, Im in the waiting room for 5 minutes past the appointment time and it cuts off again with an email saying I am not present, I have screen shots and recordings to prove all of these. Again call to complain and nothing they can do, make another appointment. 4th appointment im waiting and customer services call me to say there might be an issue and just to wait, I wait over 25 mins with no reply and I call back for them to tell me the doctors computer has crashed and there is no way to be seen. This is an absolute disaster and should be ashamed of your service. They agree to make a final 5th appointment voice call only which I accepted with actual minimal hope of it actually working at this point. But thankfully 5th time lucky the doctor was fine and got my cert which should have happened on first appointment. Absolutely furious with the rest of the service and having to pay for 5 appointments.
Made formal complaint received a call the following week, very apologetic for service and agreed to refund me the 4 appointments that had failed as it was all their fault. Please wait a week for refunds i was told, over a week later on the 17th December I had only received 3 refunds, I made a further complaint and was told that would be investigated. It is now the 12th January and still haven't heard anything back from them. Disgraceful service, will never use them again and I hope others do the same. Will be following through with a chargeback from the bank.

They want copy of my passport - NOT a chance!!
Can't do anything without sending them copies of your photo ID (passport or driving license).
For security reasons I'm not comfortable uploading copy of my photo ID to some random website.
Medical providers can ask to see identification, such as a passport or National ID, to confirm identity or eligibility for state-funded healthcare, but generally cannot force you to provide or retain a copy under GDPR.
They have no business obtaining and holding a copy of my passport. Utterly ridiculous.

Useless
Clinicians are often late, and the website was down during my last appointment. I just couldn't join.
Also, I was referred to do a blood test recently, but they didn't send proper info to my GP and only said "blood test" without specifying which one.
I had to call my GP to find out, and was asked to ask DoctorCare to send more info
I made another appointment and asked them to contact my GP with more info again
Then I called my GP a week after, and apparently they didn't receive anything
How many appointments should I have to be properly referred to do a single blood test? 10?
I spend my time and energy to get something out of this service, and every time it's so disappointing. I wish my company's insurance were using another service that could actually be helpful

Thank you so much! My experience was great and my doctor Farida Mirza is absolutely amazing! The only reason I took off one star is because the doctors take a LONG time to log in and I have been left waiting for 5-10 minutes at a time due to "technical issues" so maybe that is something they can work on. You should definitely book here and it is super easy to get appointments for the next day but they usually don't do same day appointments.

The appointment came through for the same day with a choice of probably 8+ online doctors and Lewis, the guy I chose could not have been more helpful. He referred me to an Orthopaedic Consultant much, much quicker than would be possible with NHS.

I could have easily seen a GP the same day but opted for the next day. There were even appts available through the night.
I saw a really competent doctor who gave me a referal but he also went above and beyond in sending me written advice and follow up reading.
Very impressed with the whole service.

Really poor experience on my call to doctor to discuss back pain, did not listen to what I was trying to explain regarding, advice was to seek NHS even though I have private insurance and would be seen much quicker. Did not listen when I explained the waiting times over 6 weeks and refused to refer me to a consultant. Would not recommend, the consultation was a pointless waste of time
