Had minor issues with them before

Had minor issues with them before, but usually just a small missing accessory or a missing button. This time I payed for my most expensive cosplay yet that was made to order. After 3 months of nothing I emailed them and got the answer that it was out of stock and there is nothing they can do. They didn't reach out about it, just planned to keep the money and say nothing and never made the thing I ordered. I am genuinely disappointed since their customer service has been great before

They used to be better.

They used to be better.
I've bought so many cosplays from them and never had an issue until this year, I've purchase a cosplay in Jan that was "ready for ship" I paid express shipping hoping to get it for Feb for katsu, anyhow a week goes by no updates y msg them and they state they "shipped it" I was given a fake tracking number and left at that. weeks go by.. nothing. I reached out multiple times for a Refund was refused 3 times and keep been told lies that it was "shipped" 3 months later past the date I needed it for later filed a claim with the bank and got my money back. Never had a issue till now not sure if I would buy again from them after this. truly.

Very good customer service

Very good customer service. One item from my order was sold out and they contacted me about it and when I cancelled my order regarding that item, this was processed fast and my refund is already on way. Delivery (of other items) was efficient and we received what we ordered.

Bad smell and can't return

Wasted $66 here. I had really high hopes, the photos looked great and the reviews were all positive. So when I saw that my package arrived early I was excited until I opened it. I was hit with a terrible smell and the latex/leather felt sticky. The sizing was completely different than the website. And to return the items it'd cost more money to send it back. The customer service sends you to an email to get the shipping address for returns but when I contacted the email I keep getting the run around and still no exact shipping address. I was just told to send it back china, you dont get what you paid in shipping back, and it'll cost more money to send it back.

I like it

The quality of the cosplay was awesome and the shipping only took about two weeks. The rubber bands are a little tight but nothing that I can’t fix and adjust myself. The cosplay is beautiful and I would definitely buy from dokidoki again.

Purchased SSR Mona off their amazon for…

Purchased SSR Mona off their amazon for $160 because they said their FINAL SALE was on their website, and they were out of stock forever. They claimed they would never restock Mona in Medium, and they’d did. For half the price. Fine. However. When I received my cosplay, I didn’t try it on. Until now. The hat clasp is broken. Multiple pieces are completely unstitched. The pantyhose is pilling. The quality is just not there for such an expensive cosplay. I want a refund or some compensation but I don’t even know where to start.

Panty and Stocking/Panty cosplay

Mixed feelings but overall satisfactory. I ordered the Panty cosplay and shockingly, it's almost too big on me. Most reviews claim to order a size up, but I ordered according to my measurements and the top and skirt are somewhat droopy (which can be adjusted). The quality is still really good for the price. There's a lot of pieces that come with the cosplay, and I mean A LOT. If you're looking for a Halloween costume, these are pretty high quality. You'll be paying for the same price as Spirit and Party City. For the shipping, my cosplay came in on time and quick. I ordered from the ready to ship option and had no issues with it being delivered. The tracking however, VERY sketchy. The website linked to track it is down, so I had to use a third party site to get the tracking to work. I would definitely order from them again. However, I would eye the cosplays a bit and look at other reviews before purchasing. If you are doing the ready to ship option, it will be 2 weeks max before you see it out for delivery.

Ordered a pre-sale plushie back in…

Ordered a pre-sale plushie back in March.
I know it's pre-sale but it still hasn't arrived. I tried contacting them 5 times and up until yesterday they didn't respond.

They then claimed the plushie would come out this month, while i already had contact with the original supplier who said it won't be released until october.

Poor communication, and when they do respond they just lie.

Don't order from this place it's not worth the hassle

Wrong measurements on CHART, and gave me a fake address

Wrong measurements on CHART, asks to pay for return fee AND new ship fee for a size exchange
I understood there was a return fee and resend fee, but the sizing was on their part. I have ordered a cosplay from them after they got praised so much by other cosplayers. I have measured and rechecked their chart TWICE and ordered an item in my size according to their size chart. And it was too small in the chest area that not even the deviation in the measurements could excuse.

Not only that, express shipping was paid and it took as long as standard shipping, way overdue and way too late. I e-mailed them immediately but they only answer at the end of their active hours so that it would be more difficult to contact them before the refund timeframe is up.

They said I can “give to a friend for 10% off discount” or pay practically double the price of the cosplay which was $35 dollars, $30 to charge for express shipping, and to pay $40 to return and possibly another $14 or $30 RESEND fee that was already scammed out of. Go to E or Mic instead. Not this company.

Edit to Add, 1 week later of e-mails: They gave me a FAKE address that would not make sense even with translating, refused to show via GMaps, confronted them about it, tried to ensure me the return address they provided was correct. It was not. They also last-minute stated that they would not refund the express-shipping of the initial cosplay ($30) and I was aware I was supposed to pay for shipping to send it back, even if it was late.

Major shipping issues/random cancellations

Order at LEAST 7 months prior to your event if you’re planning on getting a pre-sale cosplay. That’s the only (somewhat safe) way to ensure it’ll get there on time. Do not trust their estimated delivery unless it is a wig! Those take around 2~3 weeks to arrive!

Dokidokicosplay has not once, but twice delayed/cancelled my order without informing me. I order a cosplay in March 2024 for it to arrive around Late July (pre-sale, stated in email it was going to be shipped in early july), only for them to delay it significantly and set the delivery window to October or November. I now cannot wear that cosplay to a convention in August.

The second incident is when they continued to mark items on their website as “in stock” or “ready to ship”, when in reality it is not. I ordered a cosplay that was “in stock” two months prior to the convention, only for the status not to be updated, and being informed only AFTER i emailed them about it (like 3 weeks later) and them telling me it went pre-sale. Their costumer service is fine but it’s not great.

Dokidokicosplay IS a reseller from taobao hence the long shipping times. But despite that, there should be no delays/cancellations without informing the costumer.

Very poor customer service and don't trust shipping times

My order was supposed to process for a max of 15 days and instead took 85. I understand mistakes happen, however they have done nothing to try and make it right, even after I emailed them. Now, they've been taking down my negative reviews about the experience which I find very sketchy.

You just get scammed

I would LOVE to give 0 stars actually. I feel totally scammed by this company. The miku cosplay was okay, but the LED headset & LED hairclips.. pls for the love of god, DON’T buy it! Its just a terrible knock of product that from the AlieExpress website and I really thought I had a great opportunity to buy it from DokiDokiCos but hell no ><. It came in bubble wrapped paper bag together with my cosplay in a bag so the headset and hairclips were totally scuffed. Never buying here again.

I’ve looked into reviews from other cosplayers so I am really sure I cannot return these bad accessoires :).

I do NOT recommend buying from this company unless you want to get scammed!

They want me to cut the Cosplay into pieces...

I bought an Power Cosplay (Chainsaw Man) from DokiDoki and I bought it in an 3XL, I'm not that big but I wanted tobe sure that it fits. When I received the Cosplay it was way too small and it fit's a Friend of mine, who is just an S. I mailed them and told them about my Problem. They wanted some Photo's and they got some Photo's. After that they wanted me to send it to the US or Spain. I told them that I could do that, but that I'm only gonna send it with a tracking number and insurance. It was too expensive for them. So they just told me to "cut the Cosplay into pieces or Donate it" and to send them Pictures afterwards, to proof to them, that I actually destroyed it or got rid of it.

This was the last Time that I bought from them.

We ordered a cosplay (Elysia Herrscher of Human Ego Costume) that costed over $400 CDN and it came with 3 broken pieces (we found 2 and notified them via email WITH PHOTOS; my daughter found a third broken piece this morning, less than 12 hours after emailing them).

This was their reply to me this morning:
Hi dear

We are very sorry about that .
Please accept our most sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused.
This is the last batch of this costume,so we don't have extra replacements~
Do you think you can fix it by yourself?
We can refund you $10 as compensation ,and if you place a new order on our website ,we can send you a small gift .

Please feel free to let us know.

I told them I wanted replacement parts (their email said what do you think? )they refused to send replacements, citing; "This is the last batch of this costume,so we don't have extra replacements~" .

When I went on their website (today), the costume link was still selling, so they obviously have parts, they just didn't want to break up a set. If I could post pictures here, I would, but not possible. One part was very large and broken in half.

We have one pin broken, one pin missing a pin wire altogether and a chest plate cracked completely in half.

We have been ordering from Dokidoki since 2020. Be aware that if something happens to your costume in shipping, that is your problem, because they will not help you fix the issue.

BUYER BEWARE.

After posting this review and sending dokidoki a copy, I received this reply:
Hi dear
These are sold as a complete set. This time we will remove one piece from the complete set and send it to you for reissue. We will pack it in a box and bubble paper, but the delivery process cannot be guaranteed. If it is still broken this time, we cannot replace it. What do you think ,dear~

Dont buy unless you have 7 months time to wait

I have bought quite a few things from here and it's become a habit to always count at least two months wait on top of shipping time and the estimated time they'll have things in stock. They will not let you know if the item you bought is late and if you're buying from their AliExpress, you cant count on them having their stock up to date. Recently ordered in November with no response before mid January that it now apperantly was preorder and to add at least 100 days to the estimation of shipment.

Cosplay Heaven !!

Bought a Kokomi outfit for my daughter. Quality of the dress is amazing. My daughter is thrilled with it. Customers service team are brilliant answering any queries I had in super quick time. I will absolutely buy from Doki again. Thanks a million Doki team.

Really beautiful cosplays

Best cosplays I've ever purchased, will be buying all my future genshin cosplays from here. I have bought and worn Ayaka and Kazuha SR versions, currently waiting for my Xiao one. The wigs were great too! Expensive but you get what you pay for. Sometimes little parts fall off but it's nothing a bit of glue can't fix! Highly recommend, just be careful with sizing.
