Dreame x50

Dreame x50 - bought on 7.7 sale. Overall it's a very well built machine and intuitive app. It cleans fairly well, but it is not perfect.

1. Edge cleaning: It doesn't really slide across the entire edge to clean it. At times it shifts out to recalibrate before continuing the clean, but that leaves a gap that it didn't clean. The auto-extend sweep/mop doesn't work perfectly either. At times, it extends for just 1 second and retracts back, so not much cleaning was done by the extended leg. Hence, I would say it's a 50% efficacy for edge cleaning. My bathroom has 90 degrees straight edges, with no obstacles around, but I still saw hair at the edges after x50 was done cleaning zzz.

2. The little sweeping brush often flicks out debris from its path instead of sweeping it inwards to be sucked up, hence the floor is never 100% clean after vacuuming.

3. The robot got stuck in the bathroom despite the 6cm proleap technology. (my ledge is only 3cm) It doesn't work every single time.

4. I expected the visual recognition to be better, but it still gets confused and stuck at some parts of the house.

5. It doesn't vacuum my rubber mats, although there is a setting to ask it to vacuum mats.

To explain everything I did to try to get it to be perfect:
1. I cleaned the sensors with dry, microfiber cloth everytime.
2. I blocked out reflective surfaces using grey boards (my full length windows and mirrors).
3. I removed all floor obstacles by placing them on my tables and window ledges.
4. I did not follow it around too closely (just peeking around walls from a distance or watching from a chair) as that can interfere with its navigation.
5. I re-mapped several times.
6. I also rebooted the machine (by deleting it from the app) once.

So.. I believe I really have followed all the instructions to a T, as closely as possible (and quite perfectly to be honest), so I'm quite sad that Dreame's performance isn't a 100%.

Hope Dreame can truly solve these issues.

We have bought Dreame x50 ultra and its…

We have bought Dreame x50 ultra and its biggest disappointment in a long time.
Dreame x50 ultra:
1. Damaged wooden floor- marks all over the floor which can’t be removed.
2. Doesn’t perform mopping and vacuuming as indicated in the product technical specifications
3. Doesn’t go under the narrow surfaces
4. Mops the carpet
5. Obstacle avoidance is low – sometimes Dreame is running into the cat
6. Dreame is more than 5 cm distance from the wall when performing the vacuuming.

All this falls under false advertising and property damage, which in this case is the apartment floor. We have been writing to the customer support, but they declined to provide refund for this product. All we got offer to contact technical support. Just awful, we paid so much for this product and no value for money, only damaged floors and wasted money&time!

Unacceptable for a €1000 device – pump failure and zero assistance / Grave malfunzionamento dopo 7 mesi, assistenza assente, costo extra per imballaggio del reso

I purchased the Dreame X40 Ultra Complete in November 2024, convinced I was investing in a high-end product costing nearly €1000. After just 7 months, in early June 2025, it began showing the error message: "Abnormal water level in the cleaning tray."

Despite the base being clean and all components properly maintained, I discovered that the pump no longer drains the dirty water. I was forced to physically carry the entire unit into the shower to empty it manually, in order to avoid damaging my laminate flooring.

I contacted Dreame support but received no response at all, not even an automated reply.

In the meantime, since I was unable to keep the original packaging (the device is very bulky), I had to purchase packaging materials for the return, spending an additional €25 out of pocket.

Beyond the technical failure, I lost time, money, and faced a real risk of water damage in my home. I’m currently returning the product through Amazon, but the overall experience has been awful.
A product like this should not fail after a few months, nor can it afford to have such nonexistent customer support.

Absolutely not recommended.

-----------------------------

Assolutamente sconsigliato.

Absolute criminal customer service

Absolute criminal customer service. Faulty products that has been taking 6 months or more and still no replacement or refund received. With AI customer service. Can't talk to anyone. A lot of money to pay for this service. So disappointing as the robot was good when it was working.

Horrifying experience with their support

So here is how things went into a shitshow for months:

1. The so called Dreame delivered a faulty device which was smelly and felt like an electric short circuit/burn
2. Report it for return..that process took me 3 weeks because they wanted picture of my device burning..they constantly asked for pictures of my problem, and i was like how can i provide a picture of a fault which is not smelling good
3. After a lot of shitshow, they finally give me a RMA number to return the product, and then they expect me to drag a 20kg product to a dropoff point--which I declined because its not my problem
4. They agreed to come and pickup the product, and sent DPD/or some carrier- who came and picked up the product and did not give me any proof or anything
5. I was assured because Dreame customer support confirmed of pickup happening
6. I also received an email from them, which confirmed arrival of product at their warehouse
7. After which things changed, all of a sudden, they changed their tone, and say that the device was never picked up in the first place-- are you serious??

Until now the case is pending and no resolution has been provided from Dreame.

I filed for chargeback with Amex.

Dreame L10 Pro is not cleanable after…

Dreame L10 Pro is not cleanable after it ran over cat poop!

I brought my Dreame L10 Pro in December 2024 and looked after it regularly and maintained it as Dreame intends it.
Yesterday, one of my cats pooped on the bathroom floor and my Dreame just ran over it, smeared EVERY inch of my bathroom with poop.
The Dreame was covered and when I tried to clean it, I quickly noticed that I had to remove the base covering plastic to fully clean it.

So I screwed 4 screws lose then discovered a warranty sticker on on of the srews. So to clean it, I had to ruin my warranty… Great.
Tried to clean it without taking it apart but in the end I had to. Now my warranty is ruined after 5 months because Dreame designed
a cleaning robot that can’t be cleaned properly if it gets dirty… Worst part is, the two big wheels arent removable and
so I had to scrub the wheels rubber with a toothbrush instead of being able to take them off and just rinse them.

I was a really big fan of the robot, but now it still stinks even after I tried my best to clean it properly.
What am I supposed to do Dreame??? I paid way too much for a cleaning robot that I can’t clean properly without taking it apart.

Absolutely Appalling After-Sales Experience - Buyer Beware!

I rarely leave reviews, but this experience has left me with no choice. I purchased this product for over $300, expecting it to deliver on its promises. Instead, I received a defective unit that malfunctioned from the first use — leaking water, failing to dispense properly, and not drying as advertised. But as frustrating as that was, the real nightmare began with the company’s after-sales service.

I contacted support immediately and was subjected to an endless loop of emails, apologies, escalations, and hollow reassurances. It took nearly a month of back-and-forth just to be offered an exchange — which would require me to return the defective product first, wait for them to receive it, and then wait another two weeks for a replacement. So for their faulty product, I was expected to go without a cleaning device for 2+ weeks — with kids at home — and on top of that, purchase alternate cleaning supplies out of my own pocket.

They deliberately disabled the Amazon replacement option, which would have let me receive a new product first and return the broken one afterward — a basic convenience that any decent company provides. Instead, they dragged their feet and offered a laughable “dust bag and mop cloth” as compensation for my time, inconvenience, and added expense.

After 27 days of communication, they sent me yet another canned apology and claimed their customer service team has no power to do anything — so why even bother? I finally escalated the matter to Amazon, who confirmed that they are already investigating multiple complaints about this company’s after-sales behavior. That says it all.

This company does not stand by their products, does not respect your time or trust, and certainly does not deserve your money. I will never purchase from them again — and if you value your sanity, neither should you.

Warranty is a scam and horrible customer service

The products can be great—when they work—but the warranty process is a complete joke. I sent in my warrantied item back in February and still don’t have a working machine. They did send a replacement, but it was also malfunctioning and never worked. Then they made me jump through hoops to prove it wasn’t working. As of 4/22 they want me to send this back and refused to send a box etc and still no clarity on when I will have a wording mop vac. Beware of this company; I wish I had:(

Better stay away from this brand

Although products are really not that bad , company seems completely unable to supply product accessories, which you do need to purchase on a regular basis.
To top it all off, customer service, although responsive, is really, really, extremely slow if not unable, to provide any relevant help at all.

I would be researching other brands with a more adequate supply

Great vacuum let down by terrible customer service

Great vacuum, let down by absolutely shocking customer service!

Reached out to Dreame regarding a fault with my D9 Max back in February, took about a week to get a reply, lots of backwards and forwards... Last communication was March 27 after I submitted the fault "proof", and was told:
"We will now endorse your RMA ticket to our Service Team, who will get in touch with you shortly to provide instructions on the next steps".

Today is April 16, and I have not received a further update yet. I have followed up multiple times, very very frustrating!

Awful Customer Service! Truly Awful!

I hate having to leave bad reviews but very few companies pull out all the stops and I can't make the effort to write reviews for those who just about manage to do what they are paid to do.

But every now and then, I have an experience like the one I had with Dreame Technology and getting it off my chest is slightly therapeutic.

I bought a D10 Plus in August 2024 and being the first device of this type, I was initially quite happy with it, though had some questions. I contacted customer support and it was like talking to a brick wall. I got replies but my questions were never answered and I just kept getting replies telling me how to return it (I wish I had taken the opportunity to do so now). Questions which were answered were later contradicted, particularly whether there is a sensor to indicate that the dust collector is full - as it seemed to be a possible cause of the problem. I was initially told that there is but just before posting this, that there is not.

The D10 Plus performance slowly deteriorated until in January 2025, whilst some dust had been collected as could be seen in the dust collector, the carpet looked like it had barely been touched. I spent a lot of time trying to figure out the problem, cleaned every component that I could access but it just kept getting worse.

I tried to contact them via their app's so-called forum but my first attempt just advised me to increase the number of passes it made during cleaning. I set it to do two passes but that made no difference even after running the programme twice.

It reached the point that I was spend so much time manually vacuum cleaning after the D10 Plus and cleaning it out manually, that it was less bother to just vacuum manually to start with.

I tried to contact them again via the forum but it was a complete waste of time. I somehow found myself e-mailing who I thought was customer support but only after they had asked me to make a video (which I spent a lot of time editing with captions so that the problem could be seen as could all the clean/empty components) along with all my details, did they inform me that they only support the US market. They gave me the European customer support address to which I forwarded the video and all the other information.

In reply, I was given a pro forma list of questions all of which had been answered in my e-mail and/or the video I had sent a link to.

I am totally exasperated with Dreame Technology. The item supposed to be still under warranty but with a company so scattered across the globe, I don't know how to go about asserting my consumer rights or even if it would be worth the stress given their lack of response.

Not only do all the posts on here about their customer service confirm how poor their customer service is but so does Dreame Technology's failure to respond to ANY Trustpilot posts.
