I recently ordered two bespoke Silvelox garage doors from Eastern Garage Doors.
The whole process was professional and efficient, and when the doors arrived from Italy the site team did a great job installing them.
There was a minor problem commissioning one of the doors ,which needed a replacement part to be sent from Italy. Eastern immediately got on to the problem and resolved it with the minimum of fuss and now everything works perfectly.
Top quality and very friendly service throughout all of my dealings with them, and I would definitely recommend them, without any hesitation.

Sorry this review is a long time coming. Back in 2025 we decided to replace our two single electric garage doors with a full width electric door for our double garage. We contacted quite a few garage door companies and were surprised how many would not do the conversion (they only wanted to sell you replacement single garage doors), didn’t return our calls, or expected us to find our own quantity surveyor (for the new RSJ) and our own builder, which would have been a nightmare to coordinate. Thankfully we came across Eastern Garage Doors Ltd., who provided a one stop solution. We also decided to replace our front door, which the company could also provide at the same time.
From the very first enquiry, the company has been a pleasure to deal with—clear, professional, and very responsive. Everyone said what they were going to do, and everyone did what they said, which is a rarity these days.
Karl who came to do the survey arrived on time with small samples. He was happy to answer all our questions; explain the different products and what was involved. As we already had electric doors he checked that one of the units we had would be powerful enough to operate the full double-width door. He could have easily sold us a replacement unit and we would have been none the wiser. Karl also used an App which took a colour photo of our front door and replaced it with any of the Fortis Aluminium door designs we were interested in. This was a great help to see what the designs and colours would look like. We were also provided black and white sketches of the front door as we wanted the three small glass panels over the top of the door replaced with one big glass panel with our door number etched on it.
The quote (Front and Garage Doors) arrived in good time with clear T&Cs. We had quite a lot of questions, which were answered promptly. A site visit was arranged with the installation team, who were very experienced, knowledgeable, friendly, and answered all our questions dispelling any worries we may have had, which just confirmed our decision to accept the quote and go ahead with the new front door and 4-panel sectional garage door.
The admin/office staff, particularly Julie, were very helpful arranging larger samples to make sure we were happy with the colour of the front door and garage door before an order was placed. She answered any further questions we had; nothing was too much trouble and she always came back to us when she said she would.
The whole installation process worked seamlessly. The skip turned up and left on time (unusual – we know). The electrician came and removed the two garage door opener units, rerouted the wiring/sockets, and repositioned one of the door opener units for the new door. Everything was done efficiently and professionally well before the installation team arrived, so there was no delay in work starting.
Jamie and his colleagues took pride in what they did, they were happy to discuss what was happening during the three days. Even the young trainee/apprentice was hardworking, polite and could actually hold a conversation (which is rare these days). One of the sectional panels had a small mark/damage (under the protective covering so not done by EGD), which we had not noticed, was brought to our attention by the team who had already been in touch with head office and a replacement part ordered. The standard of workmanship was excellent and could not be faulted.
A new installation date was agreed for the outstanding items/work (waiting for replacement parts from the manufacturers for the front door and garage sectional panel), which was convenient to us. We were kept informed of the progress and the workmen who came to do these remedial works were, as everyone else had been, skilled professionals and genuinely friendly tradesmen.
Payment terms were fair and final payment was only requested when all remedial works were completed.
We would not hesitate to recommend Eastern Garage Doors Ltd to anyone looking for a reliable company with skilled tradesmen and professional staff throughout its organisation. Such a rare combination. It was a pleasure to do business with them.

From start to finish, Chris was brilliant. We called him in an emergency, the door having partially dropped and seized up. Friday evening he came over quickly, fixed the issue and serviced the door as well. Quickly resolved and for a good fair price. Would highly recommend.

2 new doors fitted. An excellent tidy job from start to finish. Very pleased with them and I must complement the fitter / installer he was first rate.

From start to finish - initial measure & advice, through installation, to finishing touches - Karl and his team were brilliant, friendly, polite and professional. We've got the right door, fitted 1,000% better than the previous company's awful attempt, and our home is now warmer, better looking, and more secure. The extra care and attention was really noticeable, and the finishing touches/making-good weren't a problem either. This company really understands customer service for people who need them in a hurry - cos their garage door is not opening but not locking. We keep lots of things in our garages, and nothing ruins your day as much as a broken garage door. I chatted over whatsapp (which made responding to their questions with photos - so very easy) with an actual engineer. And also they coped admirably with the perils of dealing with customer's schedules. Will always go to them everytime I need a repair, a service or heaven forbid a new door someday. Well done Eastern Garage Doors!

They fitted the garage door wrong and locks now working properly, i chased them for months to come back to sort out, still no chance

Anyone can make a mistake - its how you deal with it.
The surveyor came and measured up for an electrically operated awning and external blinds, but unfortunately measured the drop for the blinds incorrectly.
When it came to the installation, the problem was found by the fitters, who re-measured our windows and after a further delivery delay, returned to fit the blinds.
On both visits, the fitters were very professional, explaining the problem and apologising profusely, leaving the work area clean and tidy on their departure.
We are very pleased with the end result and would recommend EGD and its awning & blinds products. It was a shame about the incorrect measurements - hence only the 4-star review.
