I got an electriQ 12000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner - P12C model which is my first air conditioner unit from Applicances direct. Everywhere else seemed to be sold out or delivery in a few weeks before the recent end of June heatware hit. I really struggled in the last heatwave and could not face the prospect again of 5 days or more of 30+ temperatures in my home, especially since I work from home usually. The unit arrived the next day after ordering in perfect condition and working order - delivered by DPD. So far it has worked faultlessly and has been a game changer. It is the difference between unbearable and bearable. In fact it makes my lounge and bedroom quite comfortable. It's a bit loud to be able to sleep well, but some sleep is possible when it is all but impossible when it's too hot. It cools my bedroom down from 30+ to a comfortable 23-24 degs in 2 or 3 hours which is enough to then turn it off and sleep ok the rest of the night. I wish I'd got one years ago! Now I can go into the rest of the year with confidence that I can finally cope with the heatwaves which may well get more frequent and severe.

The item was delivered the next day quite early before Noon so ready to go within an hour.
The transaction could not have been easier.
But best of all the Ice maker also cools the water down as well as making 3 sizes of ice GREAT in this heat of 35 Degrees plus.

Top rate service, when I needed it most.
I ordered a portable AC unit as the temperatures soared, not really expecting it to arrive in time to help my wife and I cope with unbearable heat.
I did some hasty research on the product specifications, the electriQ website provided succinct detail, on range, availability and price.
I should add that my wife had an eye operation on the day I ordered the unit and I suffer from Parkinson's disease . Both conditions leaving us vulnerable to the heat.
I duly ordered the unit , immediately received an a confirmation of my order, their availability and the delivery date 2 days after.
We then received despatch notification and as if by magic the unit arrived and we within half an hour we were feeling the benefit of a good quality product, from a quality company, that understands it's market, the meaning of customer service.

This air conditioner is fantastic, it’s quiet, and cooled down our living room really nicely even in a 35 degree heatwave. Great price and super fast next day delivery, couldn’t be happier!

The speed in which it took to arrive was good.

Aircon arrived as scheduled. Excellent communication regarding delivery date and times. I was emailed a user manual in advance.
Aircon works well and is supplied with a simple window kit.

Easy to order, easy to set up. The electric cable is quite short, I had to buy an extension to be able to position it close enough to the window. It’s noisy like every other reviewer said but my room is now cool. The delivery was exactly as they promised, just in time for the super hot days, very happy

In the hottest summer ever I was offered next day delivery for an extra £20, having already paid for a 2 day delivery. With record temperatures I accepted only to be told it would arrive next day but between 5.00 and 6.00pm…..not great…!
