A Stellar Experience
I'm going out of my way trying to leave a positive review for the Lewisville, TX(Stemmons Frwy) location who provided a stellar and accommodating rental experience from start to finish. There was a very positive spirit with everyone that I interacted with.
My only complaint is with the Enterprise website where I couldn't find anywhere to leave a complimentary reservation.

Absolutely fuming!! Rented a car after a no fault accident (not by choice) I thought I'd get a courtesy car as standard anyway when I picked the car up the customer service women went around the car with me using a little device for measuring scratches /chips she pointed out a particular chip and measured it saying its within the radius so wouldn't class as damage, then she did it on another scuff/chip and said the same thing....I have just returned the car and they have just sent me a bill for the damage. What a scam!!

Had a rental paid for by the person who hit me's insurance co The girl with a baaaad attitude at the east/hanna st location in Indy charged me for tax said progressive didnt pay taxes which is false Then i turned the car in 1 day early and they left the car at the body shop for 3 more days after they knew it was there and charged me for 2 days of rental .Which took from feb 4th until may 7th to get rectified.
Horrible, wasn't a pleasant experience
They charged me an additional $900 for winter tires that I never requested. Every effort I made to resolve the issue was unsuccessful. Managers refused to take calls, I was forced to repeat myself multiple times, and I still received neither a refund nor receipts for the questionable charge. They also failed to follow the instructions provided by my insurance company regarding the vehicle specifications that should have been given to me after my accident, yet they still charged me for a service I never asked for.

i've been renting from enterprise for over 25 years and would consider myself a very good customer. Until now. I will never rent from Enterprise again after the fiasco that they have caused. I rented a car last fall and how to make an insurance claim for significant damage caused by debris on the road. I called enterprise and reported the damage and promptly received a claim number from my insurance company for the repairs. Upon returning the car I explained to the man at our local enterprise what it happened and pointed out the damage. Months later I am receiving angry emails from Enterprise saying that I owed money for repairs. Baffled, as my insurance company had issued a check and I have been charged by enterprise my thousand dollar deductible. Upon looking into it it turns out that the employee only reported half of the damage. Enterprise made an error even after I explained to them what had occurred . even though this was their mistake of course I'm responsible for the rest of the damages. The problem comes in with the employee I had to deal with online with Enterprise. and course of finding out what the real story was I was receiving threatening emails from Enterprise. Even after reporting the second part of the claim (based on Enterprise's error not mine) to my insurance these threatening emails continued and Enterprise put me on the do not rent list when my husband tried to rent they accused him of being me and refused to rent to him ( he has a girl's name I have a boy's name). This is with the drivers license with his information being presented to them. After the insurance company mailed the check the horrible employee with Enterprise that I was dealing with put my debt into collections. This is after reaching an agreement with my insurance company to make payment. All of this is based on an error made by the company not by me. I have to now hire a lawyer to clear my credit and hope that they take me off the do not rent list. The company has been paid and they continue to harass me. I absolutely do not recommend ever renting from enterprise. Clearly they have a staffing problem, listening problem, and a problem communicating with each other.

This review is for the Enterprise Rent-a-Car in Springfield, IL (east side).
Enterprise provided me with the worst rental car experience of my life. I reserved a car over a month before the scheduled 4/25/26 pick up date. When I arrived, they told me they had no cars, but I was welcome to wait in hopes that one would return, which it never did after waiting an hour and a half.
I was under the impression that if I reserved a car one would be there for me.It was like the Seinfeld episode - 'you know how to take the reservation, but you don't know how to hold the reservation.
Horrible, horrible business. Rude employees. But how can a company accept a reservation and then have no cars?! Can hotels do this with room reservations? Can restaurants do this with dinner reservations? If you don't know if there will be any cars available, DON'T TAKE THE RESERVATION!
The manager tried to tell me that a reservation with Enterprise was not a guarantee of a car. WTF! I will certainly not be renting from them again. Fortunately Hertz came through for me with a car, with no reservation and at a lower price!
Don't rent from this horrible company. I hope they go the way of Spirit Airlines.
Excellent experience from start to finish
I recently had a 10-day rental with Enterprise Rental Car out of the Atlanta airport. The Enterprise check-in counter was very busy, and it was a Friday evening, but I was impressed at how well they kept the line moving. The representative that waited on me was one of the nicest I have ever had. He was very quick and efficient at processing my reservation but still asked me about my travels and you could tell he was very sincere, wishing me a good trip. When I got to the rental car pick up area, the representative immediately greeted me, looked at my paperwork and just told me to pick any car in a certain row. It was super easy! The car was fantastic including great gas mileage, which right now was especially welcome. Returning the car was just as easy. Highly recommend.
Stay away from this company
I had a seriously negative experience with this Enterprise Rent-A-Car location, and I would strongly caution others before renting here.
At pickup, I was told there would be a $300 deposit refunded after I returned the vehicle. When I returned the car, I confirmed this again and was told it would be refunded within 3 business days. That did not happen.
The issues didn’t stop there. I was charged for an extra day without a clear explanation, and when I requested a receipt, I was told I had to physically come back into the branch to get it instead of being sent a simple email.
More concerning, there were serious inconsistencies with the insurance claim they said was submitted to Wawanesa. Based on what I was told, the information provided was incorrect, and it appears the claim may not have even been properly submitted.
When I tried to resolve all of this, I spoke with Denise. Instead of helping, she was dismissive and unprofessional. Rather than taking responsibility or working toward a resolution, I was told to handle it myself through my insurance company.
At this point, it feels like I was given inaccurate information at multiple stages, charged incorrectly, and then brushed off when I tried to get answers.
This is not just poor customer service, it shows a lack of accountability and basic operational competence. If you rent from this location, document everything, double-check every charge, and don’t rely on what you’re told verbally.

Got a lovely car via breakdown assistance from branch in Cork
I was talked into buying the half tank of fuel because they sell it 10 cent cheaper per litre than local garages ! 48 euro ! He sold it that this was my cheapest option as they are much cheaper than petrol stations. Good salesman but incorrect information. Buying 1/2 tank was far more expensive than refilling half a tank as I found out when stopping to refuel an extra €10 euro. The range increased by 100km so my 260km journey cost me 58€ instead of 26€ . I also checked the journey with AI and approx 25 to 30€
Always take care of your own fuel is my advice! They are clearly on commission to sell a package.
Also had to make 2 calls for return of 50 euro deposit which I was told would be immediate once car returned.
The will try to rip you off
This is the first and last time I rent a van from these THIEVES! I rented a van from these thieves for 24 hours, when I returned it the next day, I was charged for a period of 48 hours, not 24 as I booked on their website! The website does not mention that if you return a rental car outside of business hours (as I did in this case, I returned it 30 minutes later because their office was not open at the time I was supposed to return the car), you will be charged for another 24 hours!!! They should mention this on their website when someone rents a car and wants to return it on Saturday or Sunday before the office is open, no matter 10 minutes or 1 hour, they will be charged for another 24 hours! When I went to the office to ask why I was charged for 2 days, and not 1 as I should have, they replied that they could do nothing and told me to call the main office! I was unable to contact them several times and decided to protect others who might become their victims!

From the customer service to the quality of the car I rented, I WISH I could give ZERO stars. Even their "escalation" department agents have a terrible attitude.
There are enough one star ratings here to PROVE that NO ONE should ever rent from Enterprise.

I reserved the car off Market Street in Wilmington NC..The team there has always been top notch, professional and courteous, right down to the pleasant young man who is involved in Martial Arts, that dropped me after the rental.I will continue to rent from them in the future, they are always on their game.

When every other location failed to do the basic, the Oak Ridge TN staff led by Ms. Samantha went above and beyond in providing an exceptional service. A terrible experience
What a contrast in service! We had booked a car with Enterprise at Chambéry Airport, expecting their counter to be open as advertised from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Instead, it was closed. The phone number on our booking never answered, and no one returned our messages.
We then went to their office in central Chambéry. While one management trainee was professional, the rest of the experience was disappointing—the manager refused to assist us in getting a refund for their no-show and was quite rude. Not ideal when you urgently need a car.
Fortunately, Car Go was nearby, and their friendly, helpful staff resolved everything within 20 minutes. We’re very grateful to the two wonderful women there. If you need a car in Chambéry, skip Enterprise and head straight to Car Go!

Reserved an rental at the memorial drive stone mountain location at a crucial time that I needed to have the truck, an staff member called me twice to validate the time of pick up i arrived 10 min before for them to tell me that they did not have any cars or trucks available i sat their for 2.5 hours waiting because i took an Lyft their. I ended up missing my window for the reason I needed the vehicle in the first place. This situation would not have been as bad if they would have communicated before my rental time saying they had no idea when they was going to have any cars in our have been more accommodating. I waisted money and time and for that I will not rent from them again. Maybe they either need better training or an better system
Unsafe and Unprofessional
I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with a recent experience at your Atwood branch location In Cranston, RI.
I had a confirmed reservation for a midsize vehicle on Friday, April 17th at 12:00 PM. I arrived at approximately 11:50 AM, expecting my reserved vehicle to be available and ready. Upon arrival, I was informed by the branch manager, Tanisha, that the only vehicle available was a very small car that did not meet the specifications of my reservation. I was also told that inventory was extremely limited.
At that time, I respectfully shared that I would have appreciated a courtesy phone call prior to my arrival, informing me of the low inventory. This reservation was not casual—I needed the vehicle to officiate a funeral, and timing was critical. With advance notice, I could have made alternate arrangements.
As time passed, there was still no suitable vehicle available. I inquired about a small SUV on the lot and was told it only needed an oil change. However, after briefly accessing the vehicle, I personally discovered what appeared to be an oil leak—raising serious safety concerns that had not been identified by staff.
By this point, it was well past 1:00 PM, and no resolution had been provided. The situation was further delayed when the branch manager and staff had to leave the location to retrieve vehicles, temporarily closing the office and causing additional delays. This significantly impacted my ability to leave on time.
When the manager returned, I was informed that the originally reserved vehicle—now identified as a Nissan Altima—had just been brought in from a service station and was being cleaned. After waiting an additional 15 minutes, I made the decision to leave due to the excessive delay and the urgency of my obligation.
As I was preparing to leave, the manager approached me and offered a Dodge Durango, which had not previously been discussed and did not align with my original reservation. At that point, given the experience and concerns regarding vehicle safety and preparedness, I no longer felt confident accepting any vehicle from that location.
Throughout this interaction, I remained respectful and simply reiterated that a proactive courtesy call could have prevented this entire situation. Instead, I was met with explanations that reflected a lack of preparedness and accountability. While I understand that challenges arise, the level of disorganization, lack of communication, and potential safety oversight was unacceptable.
I have rented from Enterprise, including this location, on several occasions without issue. However, this experience was deeply disappointing and directly impacted a significant professional and personal responsibility.
I strongly encourage Enterprise to review the management practices, communication protocols, and vehicle readiness standards at this branch. Customers should be able to rely on confirmed reservations, timely communication, and safe, properly maintained vehicles.

First I had to cancel as the documents weren’t available, waiting for the reimbursement now for almost a month.
Second try the Van was almost an hour late, had to reschedule the eurotunnel.
Had a tyre failure on the way out and a lorry clipped the left door mirror- had reduced liability but, although directly linked E handled this a 2 different issues with two times the excess amount!
Never E again!
