Very organized
I love how organized and tailored towards students it is. It shows when stuff is available, all the various features, a map, and a great filtering system. I had a fair bit of rejected bookings but by just keeping at it and by requesting one actually recommended to me in an email regarding a rejection, I found what seems to be a great place. Definitely would recommend!

SHAME !
the announce was incorrect on “spotahome” (70€ more than the price of the announce) and the owner told me after paying all the reservation fee of the app so 300€. Amount that will not be reimburse for a mistake that THEY made on the offer. It’s a shame as a website for student to make those kind of mistakes. Loosing 300€ as a student is a LOOOOOT and I still don’t know how I will manage that.

I booked a room and I found out there are 4 of the exact same rooms in the exact same appartment on different locations. I emailed erasmusu, but for a week I didn't get a response. I also cannot reach my landlord, so I think I got scammed and I have lost over a 1000 euro.

I wanted to find a cheap accommodation…
I wanted to find a cheap accommodation for my 5 weeks travel, and for this purpose, I think Erasmusu is good way to find it. The feature I was really surprised is the flexibility where I can apply several flats at the same time and all of them except for the one I am accepted will be automatically canceled. The negative aspect of it is the rejection I got several times by the landlord which depress me more or less at that time. Anyways, I do not have fear to have no flat so I am looking forward to the journey. Thank you very much!

Problem partially solved
A service I would not recommend. The owners (at least in my case) are not reliable as claimed by the platform. It is not obvious to get the security deposit back. Also, in my case, the information provided about the apartment, turned out not to be entirely true (I had been confirmed that the owner was not living in the house and instead even lived there with his/her child; the rent charged by the owner was higher than the rent stated on the website).
Update:
Unfortunately I won’t be able to get all the deposit back, but I want to thank Spotahome anyway for the assistance given. Andrea, the customer service agent I have been in touch with, was kind and helpful. I hope this kind of inconvenient won’t happen again but I felt I could trust Spotahome for something to be done. In the end, they care about their customers.

It was okay, clear information and multiple options, however I think it would be more trustful if we could reach the advertiser before paying booking money, so we can maybe clarify some missing information if given the case or just to know what kind of person the advertiser is. The rest is good at the moment, it looks well organized.
PS. Note by the time I write this i haven't moved-in my just booked room, so my review is entirely related to booking only.

Erasmusu is guiding with icons and filters through the process. The payment summary is also very helpful. I love the video tours. I got useful info from customer service.
Not everything I would like to filter for had a filter (e.g. independent key), and some info wasn't reflected in filters (e.g. only for students, only for men)

So bad and I don’t have my accommodation. Spot home scammed me. I payed the reservation fee and got told that my offer got accepted and later the landlord told me that she canceled it because the room was already taken. I have emailed them because I want all my money back and they didn’t respond,so I want to report them. So disgusting. They ruined my happiness because I was so happy that I found the ideal place.

Impossible to cancel, scam
I tried to cancel the booking two months before move-in to get a full refund (cancellation policy) But they did not reply to my email nor they deleted the history of booking from my profile. I have a proof about my booking in my email, but they do not do anything about cancellation.
Villa De Vallecas - Single Bedroom
I rented a room in a 3 bedroom house (with landlord and lady in the house) in Villa de Vallecas, Madrid through Erasmusu. My stay was unfortunately extremely uncomfortable, so much so that by the last month I would only come to the house to sleep, and sometimes even sleeping would be difficult because of anxiousness. My landlady was a very problematic person:
1) I left the keys to the house in a friend's bag once, and even though I informed the landlady right away that I would get them tomorrow morning, she insisted I get them right now (it was past 11pm), and I agreed. When I agreed, she suddenly changed her stance and said that she was going to replace the entire house's keys as she doesn't trust my friend (my classmate) with whom I had left the keys. I ended up paying 105 euros for key replacement.
2) Every room in the house had locks except mine, and I caught my landlady entering my room in my absence and without my permission twice (because she later messaged saying that I needed XYZ so I entered your room). I told her that this was unacceptable, she didn't respond.
3) The listing mentioned the landlady speaks English and weekly cleaning is included. None of these bullets were true.
There were several other issues that made living 4 months in this house a great challenge. I contacted Erasmusu after the key issue, and even though they took 2 months to reach a resolution (I was refunded my booking fee), customer support assistant Giorgia was very helpful and empathetic (she is the only reason for 3 stars instead of 1 - she was amazing). After sharing all of these issues I was informed that the listing has been removed from Spotahome. However, the landlady has 2 rooms up for rent on spotahome, and the second room is still up on the website. I think the main reason my booking fee was refunded was that I could prove explicitly that the ad mentioned 2 incorrect details, and when Spotahome representatives tried to get in touch with the landlady through email and phone she completely refused to respond, making her character questionable.

It's more about the transparency of the offer and terms than about the platform or people that I exchanges with. Cancellation policies tricky because depends on days no matter when you booked so if under 30 days before you check-in you will be charge anyway. No retraction possible even the same day.
