Can't fault the product i bought (estarli 28.9), or the delivery of it, and the helpfulness of the Estarli staff when I've contacted them. Five Stars.
A brilliant bike, quiet, light & easy to handle. Well worth the cost. Take no notice of the date they give for building it, 6 week turnaround. Definitely pay for front suspension.Delivery & set up good. Please note that you have to buy the phone holder separately which is odd as the website/advert gives you the impression that it’s included. A great UK company.
Following an earlier complaint, they dealt with my issue quickly and effectively and even sent me a box of goodies which was very generous. I feel a little embarrassed that I complained now 😒
But thank you.

First off, in appearances, the bike is stunning. The colour is gorgeous. Another plus is that the motor is smooth, and the gears shift beautifully. But as soon as I began riding the bike after receiving it, I was surprised to hear light rattling as I went over any small bump. Then within days, I could hear a distinct rubbing sound coming from the front wheel. There's also intermittently been loud creaking between the pedals. These are the kind of issues you might expect from a five-year-old bike, not what you should hear from a five-day-old one. And after the manufacturing delays and the absence of communication around this that other reviewers have noted, this was really frustrating.
In spite of my frustration, the email I sent to Estarli seeking help with the mechanical issues was polite and patient, and I took the time to describe what I loved about the bike as well. I got back an AI-generated response telling me to remove and reinstall the front wheel myself. I ignored the suggestion, because you surely wouldn’t really ask a customer to do that; you either fix it or cover the cost of a professional repair.
The email said a human would review my ticket and respond. So I was expecting someone to get in touch to offer more meaningful support. They didn't. Two days later, Estarli closed the ticket and marked it resolved, having sent me no further follow-up.
I now have to spend another £100+ on top of the £2000+ spent on the bike, taking it to a shop to diagnose and fix problems that shouldn't exist on a brand-new purchase. But the key worry for me is that I chose Estarli in large part because of their marketing around reliability and customer service. I hoped that if something went wrong with the bike in the future, I could lean on their customer support to be able to resolve issues and keep using the bike long-term. I no longer have confidence in that.

Love our foldable e-bikes! Ordered a few items to go with our bikes. Initial order was slow to be delivered but overall customer service was excellent.

This was a warranty claim. My evidence was fully accepted and a new part sent without delay.

Great communication and quick dispatch. My wife's new trunk bag was perfect, so much so she ordered me a new estarli bike the same week!

I recently complained about poor customer service. The following day I received a phone call from Estrali wanting more details, so I explained why I was unhappy, which the gentleman took on board and apologised and explained the short term difficulties they’d be having which caused the problem. The following week, I received a box of goodies, which was so generous I now feel embarrassed that I complained at all. So thank you.
The mark of a good company is how they rectify an error, after all everyone can make a mistake. So a massive thank you for your generosity and just to say we love our bikes.
Martin.

We ordered an L20 2.0. There were a few hiccups with getting the bike to us, but nothing that couldn't be resolved quickly by a human which is a lot better than other companies nowadays. It was clear they are very busy, undoubtedly because the bikes are actually very good - and great value compared to anything else in the same class. My only feedback regarding the bikes is the warranty period, it would be great if Estarli offered a longer warranty on the cargo frame on par with some of their competitors. We've had our bike for about a week now and are really happy with it. Would recommend Estarli bikes to anyone, especially as they are made in Britain too. I'm really excited to see what they come up with in the future, and will be following them with interest.

After some initial issues with aquiring a paint colour match for my Estarli the company went out of their way to resolve the problem and successfully matched the shade of orange. All done in quick time. Top marks for customer service

Estimate given for build time and delivery were severely underestimated (more than 2 months longer)
The design of the fold means it doesn’t stand steady when folded, which is awkward both for carrying and stowing, and results in a lot of unavoidable scratches.
The magnets holding the fold aren’t strong enough to securely hold it.
The light was not functioning when it arrived, so quality control was clearly not completed
The dimensions also mean it can’t be carried on a train legally without booking a bike space, which defeats the point of a folding bike for me.
I wanted to love this, but so far I am seriously disappointed. Particularly as this was the biggest investment I have ever made for a bike, and I did my research and picked a UK-built bike intentionally. Huge disappointment!

Needed a replacement part. Service was great, part arrived on time, and wrapped well. Cracking job 👍

City belter well engineered, comfortable and very easy to ride. Would recommend the air forks, suspension seat post, Dutch bars and 3 speed hub. Good quality brakes, paint and having a belt instead of a chain is an absolute bonus as they're is hardly any maintenance which means more time for riding. Make sure you use a decent lock to secure this excellent piece of equipment. The only issue I had with the purchase was the customer service ie wasn't kept up to date with build and delivery time but I should imagine this has been addressed as I contacted them and they were most apologetic. All in all I would totally recommend purchasing an electric bike from this company. Happy riding 🚲.

Firstly, I’d like to caveat my major gripe with the fact that customer service is generally excellent with this company. I really appreciate the time they took before I made a purchase to explain the different options in an honest way without it feeling like a sales pitch.
My only gripe is the lead time. Upon purchasing I asked the customer service team for an estimated delivery time. They advised 4-5 weeks. Nowadays lead times are pretty accurate for most businesses, so I booked a biking holiday for a couple of weeks after the estimated date under the assumption that that was plenty of time. As I hadn’t heard from Estarli by the end of week 4, (looking back I haven’t even received a confirmation email!) I emailed them requesting a more accurate delivery date. They advised my bike would be delivered by the end of week 6. One week later than advised wasn’t horrendous, so I was happy to wait.
Again though, I’ve heard nothing from Estarli so have requested another update, only to find out the there are no chargers available for my bikes and therefore delivery is not available until at least week 7. Looking at the Facebook group, it appears I am not the only one. When you are asking customers to put a months worth of their hard-earned salary into your business, this is very poor service.
Heres my issue: if you are genuinely a British made “in our factory” company, surely you have an understanding of your lead times. The lead time itself wasn’t an issue. Had you advised that it was a 7-10 week lead time, I would have gladly waited - I would have even been impressed if a sooner delivery was suddenly available. I note that your website still quotes 4 weeks
Please Estarli, you’ve let yourselves down on the communication front. I’ve had no email confirmation, no accurate lead time, and when the lead time was adjusted I was not contacted. Please look at ways you can improve this for the future, because in all other aspects you are fantastic.
Please note: I still have not received my bikes and I still have not received email confirmation of my order.

Fantastic service from a small British company. Bikes are great as are the staff. Thank you. Ronnie
