Purchased refund protection for a work trip through an affiliate site called requestmyrefund.com. A few days after booking, I receive word that due to an unforeseen circumstance out of my company's control (the details of which are covered by an NDA), I had to cancel my hotel booking. No big deal, right? I paid for the package that allowed me cancelation protection. Nope. Wrong. I didn't purchase cancelation protection. I fell for a scam.
This company made absurd documentation requests before ultimately declining my refund. They made no effort to work with me and in actuality, made every effort to prevent me from receiving a refund and hid behind their garbage TOS.
Even the policy from the booking website said I'm entitled to a partial refund if made before a certain date - which I was within those date parameters - and they're still trying to avoid paying me my money back.
Sure, this might be a legit company that technically provides a service. For example, you would probably get a refund if a loved one died as long as you provided a death certificate and a picture of the corpse. But it is absolutely predatory and should be avoided at all costs.

The experience was very straight forward and easy. My refund came through the same day I put in the request. I'm glad I paid the small amount for this service because it was definitely worth it!

The process was straightforward, and easy to understand. Having to cancel was disruptive and a bit stressful, so having the refund process simple was very helpful.

Confused on the wording in the policy regarding how many days in advance was needed from the date of the event in order to receive a refund. They responded to my email within 1 day. Sad that I couldn't run my marathon but oh so glad I purchased this event insurance. It was so easy. Will FOR SURE purchase this insurance again if offered for any event. It was so easy to get a full refund!

We purchased the coverage as a safety, and didn't think we'd need it. After a death in the family they were easy to work with, no concerns, and fast in repayment. Thank you to the team for their work!

I paid for the insurance to withdraw and yet you all make it quite difficult. First asking for a doctor's visit note in a pdf format. Then I send that in and this is rejected and you send the link for the standardized form for the doctor to fill out, again only pdf.
Make it easy and believe people when they have to withdraw. That is why I paid the fee.

The service was terrible nor did they help me and I'm out $150.00. I got food poisoning from a restaurant and I was really sick and couldn't go to Magic Mountain that Monday do to being sick. So I ask for a refund and sent in a doctor's note they told me it didn't support that I couldn't go to the event and I can't get my money. This was a big joke to buy I'm so pissed off how can I go to Six Flags with vomiting and diarrhea and barely can walk. So don't spend the money because your going to be mad it's not worth the protection plan as they claim.

This was my second consecutive time using request my refund. Both times were seamless. It’s was very easy to download the MD form and submit it. My refund was processed within three days.
It’s a bummer to lose
Out on the race itself, so it was nice to have this simplified.
