This was my second trip with Josh and he organised a another fantastic trip for me in Zambia, split between 2 parks and lodges. His knowledge of the area, lengthy time for preparation and briefing, coordination, and dedication all made the trip amazing. The level of service throughout our stay was impeccable, the lodges themselves were amazing, the sightings were fantastic, and I really appreciated that he sent an email asking me how the trip was. Would highly recommend Josh and Faran Travel and will definitely be using them in the future.

Josh expertly organized our trip to Botswana, arranging stays at three exceptional lodges. His extensive knowledge and meticulous planning ensured that our experience was nothing short of perfect. Every detail was thoughtfully addressed, leaving no room for oversight.

From the get go Josh understood our expectations and interests for our honeymoon to Namibia. We wanted a mix of self drive camping and high end lodges - and the routing and accommodation was great, and within our budget. He had great knowledge and advised us when we wanted to squeeze too much in. Very good local recommendations too. We will be visiting Namibia again!

We considered a number of travel agents before choosing Josh to put our trip together. Even though we are in Australia & Josh is in the UK, he came out tops.
Josh made the whole process super-easy. He listened to the places we wanted to see and put together an itinerary that covered everything. We changed our minds a number of times through the process but Josh took it all in his stride.
The accommodation and food throughout Tanzania & Uganda was outstanding, and the guides Josh organised, particularly Nomad in Tanzania were fantastic.
Josh checked in with us just before the start of our trip, again whilst we were travelling and once we arrived home, to ensure everything was ok. Incredibly personable and efficient, we will definitely use Josh again.

We have just got back from a fantastic self drive holiday in Namibia. Josh helped putting together the perfect itinerary and recommended really magical accommodations. Definetively one of the best trip ever.

Faran Travel booked our group of 8 into a three-camp safari in Camp Moremi, Savute Game Lodge and Chobe Safari Lodge February 17-24, 2026.

The booking process was done by our group lead, so I can't comment on that, but the communication leading up to the trip, the trip details, tips and advice shared and available in the App were super helpful to ensuring we had everything we needed and knew what to expect.

The areas we visited had had above-average rainfall and airstrips into the safari camps were too soft to land. All was handled ahead of our arrival substituting helicopters for land cruisers in and out of the camps, making our trip all the more memorable.

12/10 would book again!

Josh listened to our endless list of places we wanted to visit and put together an itinerary that covered everything we wanted and more. His attention to detail and we stayed in some of the most incredible accommodation. We have travelled a lot and our trip to Namibia is one of our most memorable trips. We will be looking to book more trips through Josh.

Faran Travel planned us the most INCREDIBLE trip.
This was our honeymoon so it felt super important and it exceeded our expectations from start to finish. Josh planned us a safari trip in Ruaha Park (I would highly recommend, the park is the size of Wales with only 8 camps so there were times where we wouldn't see another vehicle for hours on end!) It was just PERFECT - we had to get a fair few small flights to the camp which I would never have known where to start with booking, these were all so seamless! We then went to relax on Pemba island and again, the organisation was so seamless and the accommodation was the best we've ever stayed in! We can't thank Faran Travel enough for the most perfect, incredible, 10/10 trip - absolutely no notes I would book with them again in a heartbeat! THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts, memories to last a lifetime!

From start to finish, working with Josh at Faran Travel was an absolute pleasure. Always available by phone or email whenever we had questions or concerns during the planning process. He listened to our interests, seeing the Big Five, migration crossing, comfortable accommodations and reasonable budget. He crafted a personalized itinerary for that once in a lifetime experience that perfectly fit our schedule. His knowledge of East Africa and the combination of luxury and standard more authentic accommodations exceeded our expectations.
The trip itself was seamless. All our transfers, flights, and accommodations were handled well. Guides were thorough, knowledgeable and tried to go the extra mile at each location. A major highlight was seeing all the Big Five in Kenya and when moving to Tanzania and the crater we got to see some of the same animals in quite a different setting. Absolutely amazing and wonderful experience.

We have just returned from our amazing self drive holiday in Namibia followed by Botswana and Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe and it really was the trip of a lifetime. The itinerary that Josh put together for us following some initial discussions was superb. We loved the variety of the different places we stayed, no two were the same, but all equally special. The whole trip ran like clockwork thanks to Josh's planning and the support from the local team in Namibia. We were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary and were made to feel really special by all the lovely people we met.
We will definitely return to these beautiful countries and absolutely book with Faran Holidays for our next adventure.

We started off as a party of 2 retired couples that wanted to pursue our dream of going on an African Safari. We contacted 3 Safari Tour Specialists, and briefed them on our aspirations, requirements, and the challenge of getting the best, most encompassing, and most memorable Safari experience if we only ever do the one trip. Josh Flatman at Faran Travel came back with an amazing itinerary that stood out from the other two. He patiently took me and my fellow travellers through the details of the programme, highlighting the special features and experiences we could expect, and answer our questions with expertise and reassurances. As first-timers on Safari, and even to Africa for some, the advice and guidances for what we would need to prepare and when were invaluable.

The itinerary was so attractive that as soon as we shared it with some other relatives of ours, our party quickly grew to four couples, and Josh managed to secure the additional rooms and places quickly and efficiently; we imagine not an easy feat given that our itinerary of 11 nights comprised 1 hotel, 6 camps/lodges, a lake safari, a balloon safari, 2 domestic flights to help shorten the journey crossing from the Masai Mara in Kenya over to the Serengeti in Tanzania, and 1 international flight to get us from Kilimanjaro back to Nairobi.

The Guides appointed to us by the local company on the ground were excellent. They were very attentive and knowledgeable, and ultimately it was all down to their expertise and networking with the other guides to deliver for us the unforgettable experiences of the wonderful and amazing wildlife that we got to see in their natural habitat.

Favourite sighting was a stunningly beautiful adult leopard sleeping in an acacia tree in full view. We did also see plenty of the Big 5, and a Mara River Crossing too.

Top Tip: build in a stay at one of the Conservancies in the Masai Mara region. Being a private reserve, there are far fewer vehicles, and the Guides have permission to drive off-road to get closer to sightings, and also to drive after sun-down for a bit of a Night Safari experience.

Josh couldn’t have been more helpful attending to every little whim we asked him about and constantly revising the itinerary as we continued to develop our plans for our trip. The trip to Namibia, Botswana and Victoria Falls was wonderful. Quite an adventure and a very memorable experience.

We had the most incredible holiday in Namibia, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the expert organisation of Josh at Faran Travel. From the very beginning, the planning process was seamless; every question answered promptly, every detail carefully thought through so we could enjoy the holiday with the challenges of tweens and a toddler!
Our itinerary was perfectly balanced: breathtaking landscapes, adrenaline fuelled adventure, unforgettable wildlife experiences, and just the right amount of relaxation in between. We enlisted Faran Travel for a safari holiday to Botswana. Firstly, Josh's experience and insight really helped us narrow our choice down to Botswana instead of Namibia (which was another option we were exploring). Then we narrowed it down to Botswana, his suggestions involving stay, game drives while keeping our budget in mind were absolutely brilliant. We had a particularly memorable time at Mma Tsebe camp in the Khwai area of the Okavango. I have never experienced something more intimate and yet raw in the African wild as Mma Tsebe. Full marks to Josh and Faran Travel for organizing a particularly memorable safari experience for us.

We have just returned from a magical family holiday. I contacted Josh not knowing what we really wanted and he took it from there. We had an initial call with Josh to go through our ideas for our honeymoon and then Josh created our dream tailor-made honeymoon! He was extremely knowledgable and really listened to our wants and needs, offering lots of advice about different countries and potential trips and then creating a sustainable and unique trip for us.

We had the such a magical time on safari in Kenya, followed by a relaxing week on the coast. The whole experience was beyond our expectations and felt truly special and something we'll cherish forever.

Josh's organisation was flawless, right from the beginning we had a clear itinerary and app with all of the information we needed and he was always quick to respond to us if we had any queries. When we landed everything was perfectly planned so we didn't need to think about a single thing, from transfers, flights and tickets, it was all organised for us so took the stress away meaning we could fully relax and enjoy the honeymoon.

My wife and I rented out our house for over 6 years and travelled the World independently. Now in our 70’s we wanted to visit the Okavango. I began to research in my usual way and considered for the first time to ask for some specialist help. Responsible Travel recommended Josh at Faran Travel.
Our conversation with Josh started with suggestions for Chobe and the Okavango in Botswana but extended to encompass what we had planned as a self-drive in Namibia.
Briefly, the outcome was assistance with route, car hire, accommodation recommendations and bookings plus various local back up arrangements for 2 weeks in Namibia plus a package for 3 x 3-night all inclusive safaris in Chobe (1) and Okavango (2).
The result was a big success in that we had more comfort, security, and saw more wildlife than we ever imagined. Memories (and photos) to last a lifetime.
Throughout the process from A to Z, Josh was professional, patient, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and added value at every step.
We arranged a side visit to Victoria Falls ourselves which fitted in well.
As we travelled around, I was constantly self-assessing how it might have turned out if we had done the independent option we are used to. I never regretted doing this trip with Josh’s assistance. In particular I cannot imagine we would have got close to experiencing the wonders of Chobe and the Okavango if we had not received and accepted his recommendations based on his deep local knowledge of the region.
I am more than happy to recommend anyone in a similar position to us to have a conversation with Josh and to entrust their travel dreams with him.
