Fastmail is a great and reliable service focused on privacy, which I really appreciate. The only downsides for me are the lack of built-in email translation and the apps. Both the mobile and Windows a... See more

I started using Fastmail just a few days ago with the trial. I had some questions regarding domains and family use, specifically if it is possible to split off grown family members into their own accounts when the time comes. The customer service person was awesome, responded within a few minutes with an on point answer and again a few more minutes later to a follow on question.
I signed up for the family plan immediately and started migrations from Outlook and Google Workspace. Both migrations went flawlessly and with far less trouble than a prior migration from Google Workspace to Outlook.
Subsequently, I have been getting comfortable with the masked email feature which works seamlessly with 1Password. So far so good.
My final comment relates to the company blog. it is clear from reading that this company is passionate about email and wants to do it right. I am glad to be here.

I have been using fastmail for over 20 years. It gets better and better.

I've been with them for 8 years and the service is consistent and always improving. On a personal note - I had a labor intensive task requiring literally doing thousands of searches for specific customer orders - Fastmail's search was BLAZING FAST - as in responses popping up instantly. Their speed saved me hours upon hours of time.
Support has always been good and direct to the problem (as opposed to others who don't really listen and don't really solve your actual problem).
Their apps always work well for me. The only reason I'm willing to keep paying them is because their service is so good.

I'm giving Fastmail five stars for a dozen reasons, but I want to be clear - they process & store their data in the US.
Their support are consistently amazing, they're able to quickly resolve issues. They can investigate matters when you give them access to certain messages. They have the best delivery rates of any service I've ever used.
It's worth the cost. Frankly, I've tried iCloud Mail but it's nothing compared to Fastmail.
If I had a wish-list, it'd be:
- Euro region
- Enterprise product
I would use this product for business. But it needs those Enterprise controls.

I've used fastmail for almost 10 years. I selected them because of their stated commitment to provide email for me, not for advertisers or companies who are interested in mining my data. In that time I've been very impressed with the reliability of the service and ease with which I've been able to do things like use masked email addresses and create mail accounts for other family members that are grouped with mine. I've contacted their customer support a couple of times, and in each case been very impressed with the speed of their response and rock solid competence. I strongly recommend the service.

In the Dark Ages of PC computing (25+ years ago) I was a computer consultant subscribing faithfully to Infoworld and PC Magazine. One of my favorite columnists by the name Stewart Alsop II wrote an article about a new service called FASTMAIL.FM He was so laudatory, that I had to try it. At the time, they gave you a free account. Mind you, broadband was still available only to bit companies, it was all dial-up and slow spam. So, I signed for a free a/c. Then I signed for a second one. Then for a third. It never failed: this thing was PERFECTION ITSELF: it did not ever have spam or viruses or any other ugliness and it was fast, even with dial-up. After a year of free use I did not need any more proof: I signed for an upgraded a/c (and have been upgrading ever since). The service is clean, the interface is flawless, your can RESTORE the last week if you deleted stuff you actually needed, you can UNDO SEND and you can have ALIASES, in case your email got contaminated and you want to change it. You can, of course, report spam and phishing, as well as block senders. You can set your home/office cameras/phones/devices to send you email. But best of all, they have great professional people working for them! On the rare occasions that I would need help (mostly due to my deficient knowledge), I'd send an email to Support and they reply RIGHT AWAY, which is something unheard of in our day and time. Nobody can ever convince me to change FASTMAIL, I LOVE THEM!

I have been a customer for a number of years, and I recently had the chance to contact customer support.
In my experience, the team was highly professional and went above and beyond in order to provide a great service.
I would highly recommend Fastmail to anyone looking for a quality email experience focused on design, privacy and great integrations.
I have been using fastmail literally for more than 20 years and I do not want to switch (even though I am in Europe :-).
A few weeks ago, my email stopped working, and the fastmail team helped me right away, first tier 1, tier 2 and then tier 3. It turned out, it was not a problem with fastmail at all, but due to another service, yet they still helped me resolve the issue and indirectly helped the other service fix the issue as well. I highly recommend it!

I'm over the moon about Fastmail. I've been running my own mail server for about 15 years, and frankly, it's a lot of work. For years I was convinced that no reasonably priced commercial service would be able to give me what I get from running my own server, but I've just transitioned to Fastmail, and I'm incredibly impressed. I think my number one point of praise is the fast and technically superlative support; I needed a bulk operation that didn't appear to be provided by the web interface, and the technical staff at Fastmail were able to make it happen incredibly quickly. Very, very impressed.

I dragged my feet on switching from Gmail for years but finally pulled the trigger in the new year - and I regret not doing it sooner. Fastmail has a great feature to facilitate migrations out of Gmail, bringing all your mail, calendars, contacts, and folders (labels) and setting up ongoing sync between them, so you can dip your toes in the water and slowly transition.
It's refreshing to have no ads in my mailbox anymore, and I love the integration with 1Password, a service I already used, to create masked emails when signing up for new sites or services that I don't want to give my real email to.
What really puts Fastmail over the top, though, is the support. I had a minor issue today when using it and opened a support ticket, only to receive a response with a solution to my issue within 5 minutes.

I had an issue (of my own making) FastMail support responded quickly and worked effortlessly to resolve what turned out to be an issue I created myself! By reimporting a bad link to each new browser and computer I tried!!
They kept in constant contact to resolve my issue! And they did it very quickly!! Can't praise the FastMail support team enough! And this was all through the holidays of 2024!
They gave me the resolution on New Years Eve of all days!!
Thanks you FastMail support team so much!!

As many others have said, Fastmail is a GREAT product and I've been using it for as long as I can remember. I cannot recall having any real problems through all those years but I recently had to upgrade significantly to a new iMac — and there are SO many changes to what I'm used to. Among them was a small problem with my Fastmail email listings which their Support Team dealt with over a weekend — perfectly!

Fastmail is an excellent product with a great way to handle aliases through your own domain. Easy domain setup and fantastic support that is always ready to help. I can only recommend Fastmail.

We all dread a change of ownership but the team at Fastmail taking over Pobox have been human, responsive and love their product. Great and rapid resolution of a problem cause by a Mac OS update. A joy

I contacted Support at Fastmail due to a problem with Outlook not synchronising a renamed folder with Fastmail. While it took a long time to get a clear diagnosis I was very pleased that instead of giving up, the Fastmail team escalated until a very experienced techie diagnosed the issue and suggested a solution for me to implement. This made sense and worked, so my problem is resolved and my most important folder is now syncing properly. I am very pleased with the support from Fastmail, and I am glad I persisted after the initial responses, and provided more information which helped pin down the issue.

Since Fastmail bought Pobox my experience had plummeted from excellent - over many years - to terrible. Hackers have used my email address to send spam, but I'm locked out of the account by Fastmail, so ironically I can't do anything. Some emails sent to me are not being forwarded and I can't see them. The support desk is slow and keeps requiring me to log in to view a ticket, which I'm prevented from doing. I couldn't be more disappointed

As a Fastmail customer I recently used the Fastmail support team to trace an issue related to me not receiving emails from a certain party. The person I dealt with from Fastmail was Maya Lawrence. I thought Maya did a fantastic and timely job in checking out this issue for me. Further, Maya's reply reflected solid intellectual rigour with excellent scope and depth in terms of advice and compared with other so-called agents and consultants was very efficient and didn't resort to jargon like "Thanks for reaching out to us" which drives me crazy. That's why I gave my experience 5 stars in dealing with Fastmail support.

free trial does not allow to read received emails. Literally started using it 30 mins ago, received email from a site and fastmail says - [verify account to view email content] so No CC required trial is BS

Outstanding service and experience. Also, maybe the only valid alternative to the usual Big Tech applications. A real pro tool.

Personally, I have had no issues with fastmail.com whatsoever. I recently deleted my Gmail as I despise all things Google and also my Yahoo email which I despise almost as much. I am on the basic plan and it is a pleasure to use due to its organization and layout and simplicity and innovative features that my previous email providers were lacking either in a paid version or unpaid version. I also had GMX Mail for quite some time but since you can't pay for version without ads which became very annoying by discontinued it as well.
