The booking process is unduly complicated, e.g. putting in a time when there is only one ferry a day and you have no choice. Charging 2.5% for processing a debit or credit card is now illegal and I... See more

I anticipated delays and repeated information, but everything was surprisingly smooth and efficient.
Take a ferry Cruise
Staff extremely helpful. Safety announcement clear. Good facilities and very clean. Bit worried about young children roaming about on top deck with no parent in sight. Enjoyable journey and would use the ferry again.
DATE CHANGE THAT i DIDN'T REALIZE
I booked a ferry from Weymouth to Jersey. As Poole was a little closer on my drive down, I thought I would look at that, but the times didn't work. When I saw the option to go out of one port (Weymouth) and return to another (Poole) I selected that option and the dates. The return ferry to Poole was at a slightly earlier time which as I had a 3 hour drive ahead of me to return home worked better. I didn't realize that on the date I needed to return, the Jersey to Poole ferry didn't run and it automatically slotted me onto the next day. As I progressed through the check out, I kept looking at the times and didn't realize the date change. When I did catch it, it was seconds after I sent my payment through. When I called and explained that I had JUST booked it, the young man on the phone, while polite, basically told me that I should have "paid better attention" and he could change me to the date I needed to travel on but that there would be a change fee £15 and NO refund, as the Jersey to Poole was slightly more expensive.
I realize that it is my responsibility to double check, but there were no flags that said "no ferry on route and date you wish to travel" !!!
It wasn't as if I waited weeks to change it and it was a change of plans. I have never dealt with a transport company (airlines, trains, etc) who is this unbending. I shall never use Ferries.co.uk again after this trip and will plan on telling everyone I know about the lousy customer service.
smooth and quick
there is not much to say. everything went smoothly from booking to payment. prices are a bit steep but that is not up to the booking site. layout is quite easy, response time adequate. can't say I would not recommend it. pleasant, trouble free experience.
Very straightforward to book and confirmation arrived immediately by email
It needs improvement!!!
The site is not as user-friendly as other site in the same category... Some information were very hard to get such as: Maps where is the exact location of the terminal in every port served and how to get there (I know there are other sources but this could be integrated in the website); Only show the prices in Pounds (what about euros or US$??)
Very easy website to get your ferry booking
So easy to get a ferry booking. Found my way round the website without any trouble. GOOD prices as well
Credit card charge for French Carte Bleu
The only issue I had was with the additional charge added to the booking. I have a French debit card but was still charged the credit card fee.
Unexpectedly Painless
I had expected the usual delays and duplications of info but it was all very straightforward and efficient.
To be recommended
Must be recommended, easy website and quick to book, no problems at all.
expensive for motorcycle
I understand about costs and demand but I feel that for one person and a medium size bike 175 euros booked three months in advance is excessive. I do this journey every year and this time may be my last due to the escalating costs.
The layout is convenient and easy to complete
The only problem I have is that I have no ticket print-out, only confirmation of booking.
Easy to use website
Quick and easy to use website, and a good price.
easy booking and quick reply
this was an easy way to book ferries around Greece, easy, reliable and great service
Very easy to use
Quick and painless interface and purchasing by PayPal is a real bonus
Really helpful and pleasant staff. Easy booking
Would recommend to all. Staff were helpful when I had a query and the booking process was quick and clear.
