Horrendous customer service.
Very long telephone wait times with loud repetitive advertising saying how good they are - then they cut you off and you have to start all over again.
If I had a 20 foot bargepole I still wouldn't touch them. Avoid!

I really regret buying this fire. It is a nightmare to light, sometimes I am lucky and it only takes about 3 attempts. The worst so far has been 38 attempts. The instructions are not very helpful either. As a person who is left handed it is extremely difficult to hold the ignition switch and turn to get it to light successfully. Considering the price I would have expected something more user friendly.

Dreadful duel fuel cooker. Pay a bit more for something that will last. Our oven does not cook evenly, gas rings don't light and if they do will turn themselves off and have an uneven burn. Door hinge has dropped, up stands are poor,grill handles have peeled from opening the oven door. Better off burning the packaging in the garden and cooking on that.

No interest in its customers. phone on hold 15 mins nothing, "chat" says 1st in queue, 20mins later still 1st in queue, Bf europe same Email addresses do not exist!

Atrocious customer service cooker thermostat faulty bought in November still under guarantee phoned them had me on hold for 20 minutes after being told they would put me through to the right area. No luck tried online repair service wouldn’t let me send a message tried online chat told me I was first in line, yippee another 20 minutes no response eventually tried curry’s where I bought it in fairness to them they tried to contact them no luck there either. AVOID THESE CHARLATANS AT ALL COSTS next stop trading standards

Range Cooker right hand door will not close properly, had it repaired in guarantee a year ago and was told it was a common fault. It has failed again and they want £216 to repair it with a 3 month guarantee.

Terrible. Don’t waste your money
Cooker 18 months old oven is knackered. They have already been out once under warranty. The products are not fit for purpose

Spark lighting mechanism,poor,poor design,ie it doesn’t work.
Avoid these poorly designed appliances.

Bought a Flavel Emberglow Gas Fire. My parents have had one for years and its been great. Mine looks inferior but was fine at first, until the ignition failed. Had a new ignition unit fitted. If you read the detail, the 7 year warranty is only valid if you change the oxyburner every year, which is costly. The ignition failed again and I noticed the battery compartment cap had melted. Also, one day i smelled burning, and the carpet near the hearth was charred. Reported it to Flavel and they posted me two new caps. Both melted after having the fire on for a few hours. I went online and found an identical case reported by a pensioner. (This site won't let me post the link). I raised this with Flavel and they said they stand by their product, it is safe, and wouldn't even investigate, so I decided to replace the fire. Two fireplace shops told me to steer well clear of Flavel, as they are not as good as they have seen problems. I don't want my house going up in flames, or anyone elses', hence why i am here. I replaced it with an electric, which, heat output-wise, is next to useless in comparison. I'm thinking about going back to gas, but will avoid Flavel and go for a Valor. Such a shame, as I previously had a Flavel Renoir for years, and it was brilliant with no problems at all.

New cooker, bought from Currys, 7 months ago.

Ceramic hob cracked under use (nothing dropped on it, it just cracked). Engineer sent who confirmed verbally that it had not been damaged but was faulty. Beko (who own Flavel) declined to cover it as "the part is not covered in the warranty" and refuse to budge from this position despite the retailer becoming involved.

Shameful.

Worst company ever, bought a product for over £350 just over a year ago and the product became faulty, they still wanted me to pay £150 just for an engineer to come and have a look at it despite the consumers rights act. Will be taking them to small claims court. Never ever use their products, over rated, terrible customer service.

Bought this range less than 5 years ago. Model MNL9FRS. It doesn't get used a lot as there's generally only my wife and myself using it.

The grill element came off its mountings at the front and was hanging down and on inspection I found the tiny screws through the fixings bracket had rusted and the holes enlarged through rusting.

Couldn't fit a drill in to make new fixings holes and the alternative was a major strip down to get to the inside of the grill top.

My fix was to use long 8th inch split pins with one leg cut short. The longer legs, bent slightly, went through the brackets and pushed into the grill body top to secure the element. Not ideal but doing the job until it's time to get a new cooker, which, btw, will not be Flavel.

Areas like this should, at least, use stainless screws and the fixings area on the grill body at the top should have stainless plates to screw into. For this to happen after less than 5 years is abysmal and smacks of built in obsolescence. Think about this before buying Flavel.

Had to have an engineer out to our range cooker (Flavel). He was the most miserable person I’ve ever had out to repair our cooker. Why, surely they should be at least amicable when visiting customers homes. Unfortunately, although they sent me a review link, it was impossible to access!!

This company have been no help when asking for a uplift on a cooker that was purchased oct 23 yet stopped working Christmas Day the engineer has been spot on each time after 3 visits to amend this rubbish appliance which was not cheap disgusted the length of time been this has carried on for

Bought a cooker from Curry’s in December, fault with cooling fan started in January. Had 2 engineers out and still waiting for spare part to fix in March. Customer service line is shocking.

Thought would be good investment; turns out to be absolute crap. Bought black range; after just under 2 years - one oven door no longer fits!! Paint peeling off the back of the cooker, chrome peeling off the handles. Think carefully before you purchase. Service support total waste of time and virtually NON-EXISTENT. Can't get spares, can't get ANY advice - Tried everywhere to get new door fittings - waste of time. NEVER EVER AGAIN.

Bought from Currys. The salestaff were brilliant.
The oven was delivered on the due day with no fuss.
It's a really well built oven. I tested the warm up times of the ovens against the warm up times of my Sons cooker which was 3 times the price of mine and my ovens got to full temps 3 minutes quicker.

I have have had flavel Gas cooker for 10years and they are great, fast, never had a problem

I bought a flavel duel fuel range cooker from currys. Gas safety engineer came to do a boiler safety check. Gas leak detected. Came from the cooker. It was condemned. Only 13 months old.
