Easy to get hold of and accommodating for changes

We chose the package for our destination wedding with Shiela, and it truly was a very good decision because she is such a kind person, always 100% willing to help us, and she made our trip even better.

My friends and I are leaving for a bachelor party this week. We booked through a travel agent to make things easy on ourselves. This has not been the case. Our travel agent has been borderline incompetent. As someone whose travel experience is only in business travel, I can guarantee I would have done a better job organizing this trip.

The first issue we had was in being presented a resort which we all paid deposits on, then she said (after deposits were paid) that only the family part of the resort was available. There was never any effort to present us with other resorts or options, essentially told us take it or leave it and our deposits would be forfeit if we didn’t take it. This felt to all of us like a bait and switch.

The next major issue came with flights. Our two groups are flying from Vancouver and Toronto to Cancun. She booked the Vancouver group to arrive in the morning and the Toronto group to arrive at midnight. We are there from November 20-24 so her flight in has made it so the Toronto group is paying for an all inclusive on the 20th and not getting to experience any of it. This is 25% of our resort cost.

Now the flight out for the Toronto group is scheduled for 11pm Cancun time on the 24th and arrival back in Toronto at 3am on the 25th. This not only destroys our work schedules and forces people to take another day off, but means that we have to check out of the hotel at 11am on the 24th and spend 10-12 hours at an airport.

This is absolutely ridiculous. There was no thought to how our group would be coordinated. It feels like Sarah did the bare minimum to gain her commission with no thought to how our group would enjoy the vacation. Not only will I recommend to all of my contacts to never to use Flight Centre or Sunwing, but to never use a travel agent in general.

With the trip leaving on Thursday this week, I’m not sure what you can do about fixing this, but I wanted you to be aware of the terrible experience we’ve had thus far, and hope there may be steps that you can take to fix this.

Shiela was our travel agent for our destination wedding in Mexico. From the very start, Shiela was kind, collaborative and available to answer any questions. She managed all of our group booking (with a high-needs group!) fabulously. She also helped coordinate between myself and the resort for the wedding planning. Micky is such an attentive and professional travel agent. I've booked several trips with her and every experience was smooth. She responds very quickly and never pressures you to go with any options. I'm very pleased with how flexible she is to my requests and answers all my questions clearly. She even takes the initiative to reach out just to let me know her availability and any deals that might interest me. I can't recommend her enough!

My Travel Advisor, Jamie Collins, was awesome. He not only did a remarkable job at putting together a complicated itinerary for 2 of us who were starting in different cities, but he was there to calm my nerves when I couldn't figure out my itinerary. As an older lady who hadn’t booked online in over 20 years, I was very stressed. On July 17,2025 I contacted Sarah and she wasn’t available. One of her associates assisted me immediately explaining the process step by step which gave me the confidence to complete the booking on my own.

Jennifer Starzynski is amazing! We had to make changes to our travel arrangements that were already booked and paid for and Jennifer went above and beyond to find us an alternative resort that better met our needs. She is the best.

We made this poor woman book a trip for 2 groups, from 3 different cities for 100 people and 2 weddings. She also had to deal with 2 brides and a mom-in-law, and made everything seamless and simple.
