Bad return policy / terrible customer service

Ugh. Got the product. Got it on time. My son didn’t like it. Tried to return it. Sent 4 email requests asking how to do so. Kept getting directed to zendesk as their customer service rep. Finally sent an email for zendesk who called me back in 15m. Stated they are NOT customer service rep for this company; tried to look FTM up in their accounts but had no record. Said they probably using their software. Finally, on 1/21, after emailing since 1/8; I got an email reply saying my item is non-refundable as it was marked down. I did not see that info so shame on me. BEWARE- do not order from this company. They are not reputable.

So sorry that I fell for this SCAM…

So sorry that I fell for this SCAM company. Ordered a bag for my trip to Europe and it arrived 2 months after I got back. I tried to return it and they DID NOT answer me. @For the Minimalist is a CRAPPY company and not to be trusted. You scammed me once, but NEVER again.

Add my name to the long list of those…

Add my name to the long list of those that got scammed. Ordered the bag and a sweater on 11/30/19 for Christmas. Got the sweater (ordered a small men's and got a large men's but it looks like a large child's) and still have not gotten the bag as of 1/22/19. They reeled me in with their slick Facebook ad, had I know it was coming from China, I would have not ordered for Christmas.

No order

No order, no tracking, no response. I paid with Paypal so I'm trying to get a refund. if you've purchases from this company good luck. File a complaint early and often. Don't let merchants like this continue with bad practices.

If possible to give a 0 rating I would. There is nowhere on their website to post actual reviews. I ordered two things, despite "tracking offered" they never provided a delivery date. Both items arrived, though neither were as awesome as one would hope. One month after placing order, I emailed to ask to cancel the item that was not yet delivered since it was arriving too late for a gift. Twelve days later the item arrived, then 7 days after that they emailed me and said "our records show the item arrived". I would return the items but I'm sure it is more hassle than it is worth. Total scam company - do not give them your money.

HORRIBLE SERVICE SCAM

I am beginning to believe we have been 100% scammed. I wish i could share the FedEx screenshot of our order from 12/15/19 that FTM claims has been shipped YET FedEx confirms has NOT BEEN SHIPPED. UNREAL, no phone number, no way to get answers...NEVER AGAIN and I will not stop until i receive my money back.

No Bag, No Help, No Deal.

It's been 1 month since I ordered my Travel Duffle - no bag, no replies to my emails asking for an update on my bag.

Someone defended them as a small company out of Pennsylvania struggling to fulfill orders in this 'day of Amazon', but my shipping notice 4 days after my order says it's waiting for a pick up in California. Not exactly a trustworthy endorsement of a small company in the Eastern US. IF you are a small company with savvy social media and website, then you do more than sit on questions asking for updates. I think it's a scam, and if it's not a scam, it's a company I don't want to do business with. I think I've been patient enough.

Ordered online

Ordered online. No confirmation, receipt, tracking #, or any contact at all. After 5-6 attempts by email with no response, 14 days after my CC was charged for the purchase, still nothing. AMEX cancelled the sale. Pity these fools.

Update, they arrived

Update: I received my bags about 6 weeks after ordering. They are actually beautiful bags. It’s very hard not to consider that you have been scammed when it takes this long to receive. The site tries to explain their business model. In the age of Amazon, with everything in a local warehouse ready to go..a small guy on Poorhouse Road in Pennsylvania is going to have a hard go of it.

Same as most - no merchandise one month later

Same as most: ordered on 12/18/19, got a tracking number, indicates still sitting in Fremont, CA. Today is 17 January 2020. Have emailed twice - no response to tell me what's going on with my order. Found this site tonight, am sorry but glad I'm not the only one. From what I'm reading, looks like my order will actually come from China, and that's why the long wait.

Order was placed with Paypal, I filed a complaint a little while ago. Just got an email stating they are investigating.

Scam advertising, for sure. Hoping the bags I ordered will be worth the wait (I have my doubts).

Don't fall for their slick Advertising

I ordered a duffel from For The Minimalist for my husband for a Christmas present on December 8 after he saw the ad on Facebook and thought the product looked nice in the slick ad. I told him it was most likely a rip-off scam Chinese company, but ordered it anyway. I am so sorry I did. Didn't get the bag in time for Christmas. Sent numerous emails and didn't get a response. Their tracking numbers don't work. Finally filed a complaint with Paypal and FTM finally responded on December 28 with another fake tracking number. Still don't have the bag or my money back. It is now January 17th. Don't bother. Go to Amazon and get something in two days.

FTM Duffel--I actually got it!

Like a lot of others, I ordered the FTM duffel bag before I vetted the site. When I hadn't received the bag in 3 weeks, I started digging on the internet and found this site. I saw that I had probably been scammed. I waited another week, then contacted FTM by email to let them know that the item had not yet arrived. By the next day, the status had changed on my order (just like with many of you). And today, 8 days later, I RECEIVED THE BAG!! It is a very nice bag, identical to the one pictured on the website. I really like it a lot!! Other than waiting for almost 7 weeks to receive it, I am very happy with it. Don't give up hope!

I’m someone who rarely writes reviews

I’m someone who rarely writes reviews, but in this case I feel it’s important to warn other consumers about this company. I ordered a duffel bag from FTM on December 3rd, 2019 (for a Christmas gift). Plenty of time to ship in time for Christmas, right...nope. Not only did I not get the item by December 25th, but as of today (JANUARY 16th), I still haven’t received it! The only way you can contact the company is by email, and they gave every excuse in the book as to why i hadn't received the item...finally saying it was lost in transit from China. Assured me over Three weeks ago they would expedite a replacement...and then nothing...no response to my emails asking for shipping status, no refund or apology. They post on sites that the are having a sale because the are “going out of business”. They are not but should be put out of business! Buyers, beware, this IS NOT a reputable company!!

Seeing is believing

I just got off the phone with my credit card company to dispute this bogus company and internet sham they've got going on. Been waiting since last year for my bag to arrive. And now, I found the EXACT same bag on Amazon for $49.99. This is a Hack outfit that gets their stuff on Amazon, uses a slick marketing ad, whacks on a 30% premium, sells it to you and me but never delivers...
Just go to Amazon and find the exact same product with free, next-day shipping. Oh, and call your credit card company, right now and demand a chargeback!

It's been 25 days and no duffle bag

It's been 25 days and no duffle bag. The tracking number just says "en route" or something like that. No tracking like UPS usually does with the ongoing location of the merchandise. I SAW THIS AD OVER AND OVER ON FACEBOOK. I suppose FB does absolutely no checking on whether advertisers are credible or not.

Damaged defective product and weak customer service

I ordered two travel duffle bags before Thanksgiving and got them on 12/13. I guess from all the other reviews I should be glad they arrived. One came damaged with a missing rivet. Functionality of bag not impacted but its certainly noticeable and makes the bag look cheap (which it is upon close inspection anyway). have emailed back and forth hoping they'd do the right thing and send a good one (I even offered to return the damaged bag) but they have so far only offered to refund 15%.....again, I guess I should be lucky to have gotten this much communication. disappointing and I wish I had found this site before ordering.

Total rip off!

Total rip off! Items did not arrive by the promised time and when they were received, they were poor quality and awkward sizing. Wanting to return the items, they denied my request stating it was over 30 days after ordering and items are on sale. I explained that I didn’t even receive the items until 42 days after ordering. They said they can make no exceptions.

Don’t walk away folks, RUN!
