Do not use. Unprofessional. Overcharge.

First call I asked if they had insurances including for goods transported. Was told they had all insurances. After deposit I was emailed no insurance on goods being damaged. Separate insurance must be obtained by me. Truck was to arrive mid morning and rang to say 4pm or next day. Moving into units and had notified truck would block driveway on Friday. So they found a different larger truck. This could have gone smoothly if men did not get annoyed when we asked for large items to be loaded first as small items were too many and may not fit. The truck was not turned to have tailgate facing our driveway. So they trolleyed all goods across our house, down neighbours driveway to load onto truck. They proceeded to load goods by throwing boxes etc on top of boxes even if marked fragile. My neighbour came home and saw them as he was sitting in his vehicle. Things got worse when we arrived at units and they realised 1 flight of stairs. This had been notified. They estimated they would finish at 9pm. This was a great disruption to neighbours, so my brother and I started to bring things into unit. One worker just stayed in truck and was laughing at me and asking "Is this not too heavy for you? Can this go into the garage?" He also picked up a box and threw it down on driveway in front of me to be spiteful. Many of my boxes were marked fragile and storage asI was not opening them now. These have display cabinet glasses, plates, and coffee sets from my parents wedding 1965. I cannot explain my feelings as I need to open them and see how many are broken. The whole move was a traumatic experience. It started from the misinformation about goods insurance. I could have chosen different companies, that also don't provide goods insurance and are priced the same. I am now questioning extra charge of 1/2 an hour as move should have been 5 hrs only. No one can replace the broken items from 1965.
Do not use this company. The workers make sure to take longer even though they do not handle things with care.

Fox Relocations

Fox Relocations -
We booked this company for a move 3 men. They had already started packing when we were told that they would not be able to move all of our items - the truck was not big enough. we were paying three people to move, $780 for the truck and the first three hours, and then $240.00 for - for every hour after that. This was the first point, only two of guys (one of them was very nice and courteous and was happy to answer questions and tried to be very helpful), seemed to be doing most of the work, the third guy (the boss) was on his phone or on apps on his phone for most of time, so he didn't actually do any of the lifting. They seems to be taking an awful long time in planning how to put the things into the truck. We had to tell them so many times what we wanted to store, and some of the things that we wanted just didn't get there, some things were only half transported.
After the truck was full we were advised that due to some heavy stuff there would be an additional charge - 150.00 - this was not on the quote and we had refused to pay it.
Additionally they wanted to charge an extra 100 for wrapping - again this was not known before hand.
On the whole - this move cost us more in time, and we had to arrange another move the next day - thanks to our family we managed it.
Very poor service - will never do another move with Fox Relocations

Fox relocations of Prestons NSWThese people were fully incompetent and overcharged for their errors

Review: Fox Relocation a simple Removal from a Home in Spring Farm to ample 2 bed apartment with study and large courtyard in Padstow Heights...
Date 7th July 2025.
In summary of this review: An absolute complete debacle with no managerial effort to fix what commenced badly with an inefficient pair of non English speaking removalist, a truck that was stupidly too small for the job at hand, an absolute failure to review and assess / plan the job by Fox admin. But moreover the blame came heavily down as my fault describing the destination as a two bedroom apartment... as a result I could have hired a professional removalist such as Grace, Kent, Allied got the job done in a single day for a lot less than $3554.50.
My advice if contemplating the employment of Fox Relocations of Prestons NSW ,..... DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!!!!
First contact with Fox Removals was by phone when I booked the removal date, I asked about a pre inspection and also some prepacking whilst I had done 90% packing. Closer to the move I contacted Fox admin again to confirm and ask about insurance, Packing and preinspect. All were ignored although on the Saturday before the Monday move I again asked about insurance and was told the a link had been sent (but never received).
• The Day of the move I received a phone call from “Michael on the way be there 7:30am
• 7:20 got another call “We are here”
• Not sure where here was but it was not at my address...
• I had some considerable difficulty communicating with “Michael” where they were supposed to be.
• Ten minutes later the tiniest removal truck pulled up where considerable discussion prevailed and several phone calls to try to contact Fox Admin... Eventually a person rang back and obviously directed the two (only) removalists to get on the with the job. Now 8:30
• Sadly neither “Michael” nor the other removalist spoke any discernible English.
• I showed them a plan of my new home, I had also mapped out a checklist for each zone of the origin site and where everything was to go. They did not seem to comprehend.
• After an incredibly slow removal the truck was full and on way to Padstow.
• I tried to offer a much closer than the street offering. They refused the suggestion.
• Moving at a “Glacial Speed” (not my words but the description of the administrator of the apartments) they finally emptied the truck around 3pm.
• I had to convince them to do second trip to return to removal house...
• The plan eventually explained to me that team one (non English speaking) would fill their tiny truck again and I was to give them a key so that a second truck would go direct to the house next morning to clear the rest of the items, I was assured that team two would be able to speak English and do remainder of packing.
• In the interim admin wanted me to pay for the incomplete job thus far, a discussion ensued and after much abuse, I prevailed agreeing to pay in full on completion.
• Non English speaking team arrived 9 am and further 5 hours emptied their truck and admin insisted I had to pay them ... 14 hours (well stretched out by the “glacial speed” and I paid $2179 in Cash.
• In the interim Team two had completed packing and removing the more difficult stuff (first team cherry picked the easier stuff to move) and had taken very good care packing everything .. in fact I have to say very efficiently they had started at 7 am and removed all and delivered to the apartment by 2pm There was a charge for extra bubble wrap and packing 14 items a few other extra charges such as more that 30m distance so team two bill was $1375.50.
• So Fox Relocations managed to extend what was supposedly an around $1000 (although site unseen and grossly misleading) move into $3554.50.
Summary of Damage was quite light under the circumstances.
Team one: One large platter and one glass (owner packed) Damage to a white leather study chair, a chunk out of the door to garage, which I have had to compensate the buyer for.... and the critically mindless attempt to fold a carpet chair protection mat, subsequent write off!!
Team Two packed everything else with great care, the only damage they did was to almost restore some confidence in the removal skills of Fox Relocation.
BTW read Fox Relocations Web site with a great deal of incredulity. No free boxes no pre inspect, No “Extra costs” and more inexactitudes!!!
