Shift Careers — be very careful before subscribing

I would strongly recommend doing your research before paying for Shift Careers.

I subscribed expecting the platform to provide access to relevant job opportunities and career support. However, after subscribing, I found that there were no meaningful job opportunities available to me that matched what I was looking for.

I also did not meaningfully use the platform. After noticing the charge, I cancelled the subscription promptly and contacted their support team to request a refund.

The charge was approximately ₹10,500, which is a significant amount for me right now as I am currently between jobs. I explained this to their support team and asked them to reconsider the charge given the circumstances.

My request went through multiple people and multiple reviews. I even pointed out that Shift has made refund exceptions in other cases and has previously asked customers to contact them directly regarding their individual circumstances.

Despite all of this, they ultimately refused to refund the money.

What makes this particularly frustrating is that I subscribed because of the impression that the platform could help me find relevant opportunities. After paying, I did not find the value or opportunities I expected, and when I cancelled promptly and asked for my money back, the answer was simply no.

They have offered to let me continue using the platform until September 11, but that doesn’t really address the issue — I don’t want continued access to a service that I don’t find useful. I wanted a refund for a service I did not meaningfully use.

I’m sharing my experience so that anyone considering Shift Careers can look carefully at what they are actually getting before paying, particularly regarding the availability of relevant job opportunities and the refund policy.

I have kept the complete email correspondence, cancellation confirmation, and payment records to substantiate what I’m saying here.

This is my personal experience with Shift Careers, and I’m sharing it so others can make an informed decision.

A very disappointing experience. While the coaches are fine, the service is extremely basic, and the staff show no flexibility or desire to accommodate customer needs. I definitely would not recommend them.

I had an amazing experience with shift.careers. I realized I was not at fault for having little work experience or education. It was my Resumé format and LinkedIn all along. Thanks to shift.careers and Olivia who have guided me and continue to give the assistance that I needed in the areas I went wrong. I feel so much more confident in finding employment!

Shift Carrers not only is completely useless because it doesn't find any valuable opportunity but it keeps charging your credit card for months.
DO NOT use this program, I'm fighting with my credit card to get the money back.
I received confirmation that my account was canceled in June and they still charge me in August.
Don't even subscribe to ANY of those programs advertised on Instagram, they are just gimmiky way to steal money.

No one cares to support me even after multiple follow up on their BOT. Always a standard user replies that they have taken over the chat but no real time assistance. While taking the subscription, it was informed that they have 24/7 support which is false and no one available.

High level of professionalism

This website is such a scam. If you cancel your subscription they are not gonna refund you. Firstly they will show you some subscription options and then after the payment they will ask you to add other things and at that time they don’t show any amount. But when you click on add to cart they will deduct huge amount from your account. Same thing happened with me and when I’m asking for my refund they are saying these are against our refund policy. Such a scam website I am never gonna recommend shift careers to anyone. People are coming here to get hired not to pay you these much amount. Guy’s please don’t you this website they are doing scam with us. I lost my 10000/- INR. I believe others don’t want to do this.

I approached Shift with curiousity but with much needed work on my documents because I felt I had the wrong approach. Not reading much into this intention, I received a bundle of support, advice, guidance that continues to this point from Mheanry, Faye and Adrian. They have checked in, kept in contact, extended themselves Above and Beyond the Call of Duty for which I remain very grateful. I look forward with much expectation from Valerie.

1⭐ Worst experience. I was charged ₹7,281.86 during signup and cancelled everything within 30 minutes after noticing the multiple charges. Despite not using the subscriptions, every refund request was denied. The purchase flow was misleading, and the ₹1,909 Interview Guide was never made clear to me during checkout. Support kept repeating their policy instead of resolving the issue. Please read every charge carefully before making any payment

Worst ever experience

This is misleading and i paid for nothing. I have expected an AI auto apply agent instead i got a day by day plan which i need to follow in my job search. I am not at all happy with this.

Team helped recreate my resume so I can apply to jobs other than teaching. We both agreed I need help with technology. Great to work with and great turnaround on answers to questions.

I found the website only moderately useful as I already had a pretty robust CV and I personally didn't learn much from the exercises. (Others' experiences may vary.) So only 3 stars for the website. However, the job coaching session was excellent. Thanks to the advice and materials she provided, I've really upped my game and LinkedIn profile. I look forward to my second session at the end of the month.
