Their customer service and account management is a disaster!!
I contacted them by email and chase them for the updates on some miscalculations on the duty for my account. I didn’t receive any updates from them after 5 weeks!! It is ridiculous and please avoid using this company!
I have phoned countless times over the past few days and left messages with but had no reply. Has this company closed?
Seems like they've lost a few cases of my wine. It's been 5 months and I still have no update as to where my wine is. Getting a response from them is like getting water from a stone. Should've kept my wine at tanners.
I ordered a case of Champagne recommended by Fine and Rare in March 2021 and it has still not been delivered (end of August). My last request for an update was ignored and I m getting concerned about the solvability of their business.
From this wine shop, we can get almost all wines that exist on the planet. I could buy some wines which I had really wanted for years.
But it took over 4 months until the wines arrived, although they said it would not take over 3 months. If I had not emailed to hurry again and again, it must have taken over 5 to 6 months.
I think Fine & Rare itself is a good company. The system is innovative, and the employees are very kind and gentlemanly. They think about wine conditions deeply, and their delivery system is perfect. But their suppliers are not always good. I think it is not easy to collect many wines from all over the world in a few month.
If you can wait for several months, Fine & Rare is a very good choice to buy rare wines.
I have used F&R for a long time and have given clear instruction as to the types of wine that interest me. 3 main complaints:
- I get offers for wines nowhere close to my spec
- F&W much more concerned with collecting money that customer service
- F&W twice used my credit card details without

If it was possible I would award this outfit with minus five stars
My personal experience is that the service is none existent.
After opening an account with them last October, I ordered by telephone
three bottles of different rare vintage port, total cost in excess of £1,000:00
Would have thought that they would bend over backwards to
accommodate my order, as advised that this order was to be followed with
a further order for a full case after I had sampled the wines' supplied.
Contacted them by phone on at lease three occasions since original order,
each time was promised a reply by phone or e mail, but nothing
happened.
To Day now over eight weeks since the first order, phoned again and
requested to talk with the manager, but was advised that this was
not possible and all of the sales people were at lunch, the person with whom I spoke advised
she would get the person dealing with my order to ring back this afternoon
without failure. Surprise, NOTHING has happened again.
So much for all the hype on their web site.
BE ADVISED Do not expect any real help from this outfit if you order
any rare and fine wine, if your experience follows mine you will only
receive no wine but waffle instead..The only good point is that I did not part with any cash.
Due to time zone between London and Hong Kong, I have difficulties at communication with Mr Tony as well as hard to conclude the deal.
Luckily, I manage to find old contact, Mr Ross Eva to solve everything for me. Glad the deal went through smoothly. Was about to find other wine companies.
However, I wish to highlight the problem with their website which kept showing wrong info on pricing as well as availability.
I've used Fine+Rare for many years now, Peter my adviser is excellent, both in email communication and also when we chat on the phone..

Overall very good service received during the past few years.
Good:
+ Excellent account manager in Yaron who is friendly and responsive. Nothing seems too much trouble.
+ Good prices
+ Wide selection
+ Customer service is fine
Not so good:
- Not sure I like the En Primeur system at F+R. Would prefer first come, first served but appreciate it's hard to keep everyone happy. I did ok from it despite thinking that only the big spenders would get first offers!
- One of the bottles I had in the F + R mixed case I bought recently was clearly corked (it was actually cloudy) and undrinkable.
- I don't like the minimum £200 spend. It's lower than some, but not sure I understand why it's there.

Great selection of wines, competitively priced and with the facility to store wines makes FRW a wonderful company to deal with. I have built a small collection of wines and for those that I have had delivered to my home ( a process which is very well managed) I have never had a bad bottle, always in excellent condition.

F&R provides a well-priced and comprehensive range of good to great wines. Service is generally excellent and communication is all you would want (emails with the latest offers and regular newsletters with more info).
A storage service is also provided and facilities for selling your wine, but I have not tried these.

I have used Fine and Rare for the last 18 months for the 2015 and 2016 en Primeur campaigns. The service has been excellent and I have managed to obtain all the wines that I had targeted on my list. I would happily recommend this company.

I have ordered a number of fantastic bottles of wine from Fine and Rare and their service has been exceptional. I have found their staff to be knowledgeable and easy to work with. Ross has often gone above my expectations when I have asked him to source specific vintages and bottles.

Since investing in wines and whisky I have found Fine and Rare wines to be one of the best and most informative companies I have come across. Very quick in updating me on my particular interests in wines and up to date market pricing keeping me abreast of day to day reviews and wine cellar sales
